This Blu-ray has sooo many great memories of 80s wrestling. Very well done.

This is a great documentary about the old NWA Mid-South territory and its independent successor, the UWF. The only iffy thing about it is WWE's new documentary format. Instead of a nice 90 minute plus documentary with nice flow and the matches kept separate, this DVD/BR has it chopped up into bite size pieces that lead into the matches being shown as the doc runs. I think it really messes with the flow and it causes the pieces of the doc to be too small and too centered on setting up the matches or interviews to be shown, instead of giving a full picture of the events or the feud being discussed.

This DVD here has the most classic matches from the Mid South Wrestling, UWF promotion from the South & Southwest which features superstars like Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Ted DiBiase, The Midnight Express, The Rock & Roll Express, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, "Hacksaw" Butch Reed, and the late great WWE Superstars The Junk Yard Dog & Andre The Giant.

A great history of the road to stardom for the stars of the 70's and 80's. A vast majority of them went through Mid-South Wrestling and created their own breaks. Several classic matches with big name stars, before they were big names. A must have for all Wrestling Fans!!

I have seen quite a few WWE produced retrospectives, and this is one of the best ones they have done. The matches and interviews are what you'd expect from WWE quality wise. If you are unfamiliar with Mid South, this is a good place to start. If you are familiar with Mid South, you will still enjoy this set.

This is full of wrestling superstars I grew up watching. Gives good historical background & have me matches I had never seen before

Now this is what wrestling is missing. The great battles. Today's wrestling is a soap opera.

Any fan of Mid South wrestling should check this out, and was a great price also. You won't be dissapointed

Great history of some of the best wrestlers of all time. A must watch for pro wrestling fans.

Old School wrestling at its best, mid-south was a great breeding ground for the guys that became stars in other territories during the mid 80s. I would have given it 5 stars if the format would have been like other documentaries where it gave the complete mid south story from beginning to its end vs just kept jumping back and forth throughout. Highly recommended to the old rasslin fan.
