I’ve been using the PlayStation Portal for a few days now and honestly, I like it more than I expected. You’re basically streaming from your PS5, but for playing around the house or even in bed, it’s super convenient. Battery life is decent, nothing amazing but good enough for a few hours of gaming. Well for starters yes it's is so worth it for the price of 250 dollars you are getting the best. But I mean the best handheld console now you can play and connect it to you're PS5 but sonny recently rolled out an update were if you don't have a PS5 you can now stream games and huge titles like Cyberpunk spider man games GTA online Roblox fortnight watch dogs and so many other huge titles the graphics are insane and absolutely remarkable I have not yet to come with any problems I have not lag the buttons feel great it comes with adaptive trigger a touch screen and full 3d ambient sound it's got a super good quality built in mic and it can even be pair with the PlayStation earbuds and head set,super light weight and durable it's got a great emersive RGB lights on the side that match you're games background,and for the price of 200 dollars I officially declare this the best handheld console better than the steam deck or the Xbox

Great portable device! I take this with me so I have something to do in hotel rooms or dont want to occupy the TV. It works great once you get everything set up. There have been some amazing software upgrades since I purchased it, too. It just keeps getting better. The graphics are great, the screen is fantastic, and it's performs. It checks all the boxes.

The PS five portal is overall a really nice Runu version of the PSP. You can play the game anywhere as long as you have Wi-Fi or a hotspot connection. It’s good for kids comes with a lot of games as long as you have the PlayStation subscription and it also comes with remote plate if you have the PlayStation five console. I recommend this as a 10 out of 10 present for a teenage boy or young boy or a girl birthday gift, Christmas gift, etc.. the screen on it is overall bigger than i expected and very smooth. It holds a good battery. The screen is clear and touchscreen as well. The accessories available for this product are very easy to buy and search for.

This is perfect for in the go gaming. If you go to a friend's house and want to play fornite with them, it's easier to bring this instead of lugging your whole PS5. It's really convenient and I don't notice any lag with decent wifi. The battery life is really good and the screen quality is great too!

These were very hard to find in stock so I was very elated to finally get one. Out of the box the device looks and feels very sleek. It’s probably the most comfortable handheld gaming device I’ve ever held. If you like the the PS5 controller you’ll feel right at home. The screen is the perfect size and looks very vibrant. Be mindful of where you sit because it picks up alot of glare from lighting or the sun which makes it hard to see. The sound is very ample and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The one thing I noticed was when I first started playing a game, it seemed the there was some latency. I have very fast internet at home, but for some reason the games weren’t running as well as I thought they should. So I went online and saw that there was a tip of unplugging the hdmi cable from your PS5 when playing the PS Portal. Make sure to unplug it before you turn on the ps5 from the portal. To my surprise it worked and the Portal was running games great. The solution is kind of a nuisance, but did not ruin the experience. Overall, this is not the Playstation portable experience we’ve all been waiting for like a new PSVita, but if you own a PS5, I think this is a peripheral that while not essential, is very enjoyable, practical, and complimentary device for the system. For the price i’m very satisfied with it.

The Display & Build The screen is easily the standout feature. Even after heavy use, it remains vibrant (colors are punchy and bright), sharp (image quality is crisp with no noticeable smearing) and responsive (latency is minimal, making for a very fluid experience). Despite the size, the unit feels remarkably light and well-balanced in the hand. It doesn't cause the hand fatigue that some other handhelds do during long sessions. In terms of the controls - if you like the DualSense, you’ll love this. It feels exactly like a standard PS5 controller. The haptic feedback is just as immersive as the console version. The LED lighting gives it that premium PlayStation look. There are some minor drawbacks. No Bluetooth Audio - having to use wired headphones or PlayStation Link-compatible gear is a bit of a hurdle. Also lack of a physical touchpad means you have to use the screen for touchpad inputs, which isn't always ideal. Final Verdict: Overall, this is a fantastic portable gaming device. Whether you're using it away from home or just want to play on the couch while the TV is occupied, it’s perfect as long as you have a decent wireless connection. It’s a rare piece of hardware that has actually gotten better with age.

The Portal does what it's meant to do, excellent to clear backlog games when you just want to relax on the couch or bed to play. Screen size is great and with the midnight black edition, you're fully immersed. When playing outside of your home, connection will vary depending on what wifi you're on (for the Portal). But make sure to have your ps5 console connected to the internet via ethernet cable at home. Another extremely important step you need to do, which I do not understand why Sony hasn't recommended this, is to make sure your home internet router has upnp turned on. Without this enabled, the portal would not find my ps5 over the internet. To enable this, for example, I have spectrum; so all I had to do was go into the spectrum app and enable upnp on the router. Then reboot the router and connect my portal. I did a test drive at home by connecting my portal to my mobile hotspot just to see if it would finally find my ps5. The portal for the first or two times will take a bit longer to connect after enabling upnp, but afterwards will connect faster.

I was on the fence about this one since you can’t play without WiFi and can only play whatever disc that is in the PS5. I’m old school and I like having the physical disc as opposed to buying digital cause you cant sell a digital game like you can the disc version. I opened the box and was blown away at how beautiful and how big the screen is. The controls fit perfectly in your hands unlike the switch. The battery life is really good. The graphics are amazing and I didn’t really see any lag while playing as llong as you have a good WiFi connection. The $200 price is not that bad for what you’re getting. I definitely recommend buying a case for it. The portal controls take over your PS5. I know video games are going towards all digital in the future so my physical games are gonna be obsolete some day so now that I have the Portal it has changed my mind and Im going to start buying digital games because this thing is so awesome. With all that being said I definitely recommend getting one, you wont be disappointed!

For me this was a good buy and very entertaining, it’s nice to jump on the game without holding up the tv and others can do their own thing. It’s got a superb screen and I have yet to notice any lag or under performance. It will be going with me on trips to enjoy gaming on the go and you won’t know if you like it until you get it. No harm in trying out as you might be surprised and it’s very slick with a great time on battery life.
