Customer Ratings & Reviews

The overall performance of this laptop is wonderful. The keyboard is smooth and the performance is excellent very lightweight and portable and the battery seems like it last forever.

I got this for my son’s online school classes. It really is wonderful. Easy to use and works great. The battery seems to last a long time. I would say the sound is the only thing that isn’t as loud as I would like. If you are using it for school, it’s a great computer!!

The battery life is great the overall performance is good it just takes a second for things to load for the price it’s not bad can’t run that many games on it but if ur just using it for school it’s fine as a starter computer

My favorite thing about the laptop is the ease of transferring my old information to it. So simple. I was prepared for a complicated setup but it only took a couple minutes. I love the versatility of the touch screen and the ease of finding what I need. This laptop replaced my home computer and previous laptop and gets a-lot of use. Easy to take along as well. This is my second Lenovo. My first was my work one which doesn’t have the touch screen. I enjoy this one more.

This touchscreen laptop is easy to set up and use and it will help me get work done faster

This Lenovo IdeaPad Slim3 is perfect for me. I was looking for a small, simple Chromebook to perform everyday tasks at home. Didn't need a word processing package since documents can be created via GoogleDocs. Sufficient battery life. Easy hook up...just answer a few questions and you're ready to go. Works with my old HP printer. Not that concerned about rather small memory capacity since, if needed, additional external memory device can be purchased inexpensively. Good deal on sale for under $200. Would purchase again.

Is easy to control the laptop help me a lot with my college classes, and the color is beautiful. Definitely I recommend this laptop.

I got on sale for 200 and it works so well for that, perfect for school work and it runs Roblox and Minecraft fine as well

Excellent to work on school, work and any laptop projects.

Haven't had this for 2 weeks and the charger port stopped working. Went to geek squad and they said i basically wasted my money DO NOT BUY.

Performance has been solid for everyday tasks. The MediaTek Kompanio processor handles multitasking well, and the 4GB of RAM doesn't bottleneck you if you're not running heavy workloads. The 64GB storage is enough if you're mostly working in the cloud, which I do with Google Drive and Sheets. A few things to keep in mind: It's a Chromebook, so you're locked into the Chrome OS ecosystem—no Microsoft Office or traditional Windows programs. But if you're comfortable with Google's suite or web-based alternatives, that's not an issue. The keyboard and trackpad are responsive and comfortable for long work sessions. Battery life is solid—I easily get through a workday without charging. The build feels quality for the price point, and it's lightweight, so it's good for carrying around. The cosmic blue color is a nice touch too. Overall, it's a smart buy if you want a reliable, lightweight laptop for browsing, streaming, and cloud-based work. Would recommend, especially if you're already in the Google ecosystem.

Overall, this is a really good Chromebook for the price. It’s not extremely powerful, but it also doesn’t feel too weak or slow during normal everyday use. The laptop runs smoothly for the kind of tasks most people would use a Chromebook for, and I’ve been happy with its performance. I’ve been able to keep multiple tabs open at the same time, switch between different websites and apps, watch videos, work on documents, and multitask without having too many problems. It can also handle some simple video editing and other basic creative work as long as you aren’t expecting it to perform like a high-end gaming or editing laptop. The touchscreen is also a nice feature and makes browsing, scrolling, and using certain apps more convenient. The 14-inch 2K display looks sharp and is a good size for watching videos, doing schoolwork, browsing the internet, or getting everyday work done. The 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage are definitely on the lower side, so I wouldn’t recommend this laptop for extremely demanding programs or heavy professional editing. However, ChromeOS is lightweight enough that the laptop still runs well for what it is designed to do. For the cost, I think it provides good value. It handles the jobs I need it to do, works well for multitasking, and doesn’t feel painfully slow. If you need an affordable laptop for school, web browsing, streaming, Google Docs, online work, and light editing, this is a solid option. I would recommend it to someone who wants a simple and affordable laptop without needing the power of a more expensive Windows laptop or MacBook.

I purchased this Chromebook for my son for school, and we have been very happy with it. He uses it for Google Classroom, homework, presentations, and other school assignments. It is easy for him to use, starts up quickly, and the battery lasts throughout the day. I also like that it is lightweight and a great size to carry in his backpack. The touchscreen is a nice bonus, and overall it has everything he needs for school without being too complicated. Great value for the price and definitely a purchase I would recommend to other parents!

Internet seems to lag a bit. Not a problem on my tablet and phone. Wish it had a backspace key. Light weight and long battery life. Comfortable keyboard. Good screen.

I’ve been really happy with this Chromebook. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and starts up quickly. The touchscreen is responsive and the 14-inch display looks really nice and clear. I mainly use it for everyday tasks, browsing, watching videos, and getting work done, and it handles everything I need without feeling complicated. I also like how portable it is, so it’s easy to carry around. For someone who wants a simple, reliable laptop for everyday use, I think this is a great option.

I researched and waited on purchasing a chromebook for my 2nd grader. We homeschool and eventually realized that for us, a touchscreen laptop would be a valuable investment. It's been extremely helpful! Works great, battery life is excellent, and it is easy to setup. I would highly recommend this.

This Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook has been a great addition to my work setup. It’s lightweight, fast, and the touchscreen makes navigating tasks super easy. The 2K display is clear and bright, and overall the device runs smoothly for everyday work needs. Very happy with this purchase!

I recommend this product. It has sharp display . It is slim and light weight. It is fast and I got it on sale at a low price . Battery life is very good . On light use you don’t have to recharge it for many days

So far I have no complaints on this purchase. The price was great, it has performed well, the battery life has lasted longer than my previous Chromebook and I wanted a touchscreen which my previous did not have. I use it at home for work and personal email and creating documents both both.

On sale on October 9, 2026, the 4gb/64gb version is just $189 which is a blisteringly good deal on a 14" laptop with full color coverage (100% sRGB gamut) on an IPS screen. I can install Android and the most important Google apps don't take up much space. However, for streaming media services like HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Disney etc. save space by turning off Android in settings. The Chrome browser that comes with with this budget Chromebook can do everything the Chrome browser in Windows or Mac can do - no "tablet limitations" we experience in iPads and Androids. HOWEVER once is a while Best Buy offers similar magnitudes of discounted on the "good stuff", which in this case (as of date of this post) the upscale Slim 3 with 8gb of RAM and 128gb of ROM storage is just $289. Note that besides having a more comfortable amount of RAM, the upscale version has duplexing UFS for storage (reads and writes at the same time) while the entry level 64gb models use tried and true, but much slower, eMMC (basically a jazzed up SD card). I like this configuration so much that although I also have the prior edition with the Kompanio 520 instead of the 540 this comes with, I also picked up this 540. Noteworthy enhancements on this one are TWO USB C ports so you can charge from either side - handier than you'd think - and a full-sized HDMI port which allows hook up to most TVs and of course to a ginormous separate monitor if you want to document compare or really want that "big screen" impact (I'm happy with anything over 10" so this 14" Slim 3 is more than enough for me just on its own. NOTE that the prior gen (Kompanio 520 circa 2024) gave us a handy SD card slot for extra content storage; this replacement model doesn't. I've searched, and driven AI nuts helping me search, for cheap laptops with Netflix-worthy screens. This is it - there are no budget solutions in Chromebooks or Windows. The closest you can get video streaming quality on a budget is one of the new budget 11" Android tablets from Samsung or Lenovo.
