I feel particularly qualified reviewing the Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones given my previous experience with its older cousin, the over-the-ear Marshall Monitor III ANC, which are amazing in their own right. As on-the-ear headphones, the Milton isn’t quite the same experience, especially when it comes to the noise canceling. They are objectively not quite as quiet as Monitor III when switching between the 2 in my moderately busy office space with 8 coworkers, plus the noise that comes through the brick walls from the factory on the other side. But, they still do a really good job, the factory noise completely disappears and it’s only the louder people in the office whose voices penetrate the noise canceling technology, although it’s kept to a muffle. I particularly like the feel of these headphones compared to full over-the-ear headphones, especially when wearing for a full 8 hour day at the office. They are lighter and you hardly feel them. The other substantial advantage is battery life. After an entire shift the battery life was only down to 88%, and that was with multiple Teams calls, listening to Spotify (more on that later) and keeping the ANC fully engaged the entire day. Because of my ownership of the Monitor III headphones, using the Milton is seamless; exact same buttons with the same functionality, used for turning them on, pairing, toggling the noise canceling on and off, controlling the volume, and even skipping ahead when using Spotify. It also uses the same Marshall app on my phone which allows you to adjust the equalizer, customize the buttons, and use a feature called Soundstage which lets you adjust a virtual room size and effect level, which I find that when turning this on and setting the room size to large, the sound just feels more “full” I don’t know how else to describe it, but it’s noticeable. During one of my Teams meetings with my 8 coworkers, I switched between the Milton and the Monitor III and noted the sound quality I heard, and asked my coworkers about the sound quality they were getting from me. I can report that there is no difference in the sound quality at all between the two, microphone nor headphones, even though the Milton has a retail price substantially below the Monitor III. Included with the headphones is a short charging cable (but no charging brick, you’ll need to provide that yourself), a longer cord that connects the headphones to a standard audio jack should you want to connect these to a device that doesn’t have Bluetooth, and a pouch for carrying everything. The only constructive criticism I have for these headphones is that there is nothing on the headphones that indicate which is the Left and which is the Right ear, and there most definitely is a correct way to put them on (the gold button goes on the right ear) I would have put an L and R perhaps under the Marshall logo on each ear piece, or somewhere less conspicuous. If you put them on backwards, the microphone will not pick up your voice well at all and the people you are speaking with will definitely let you know about it, which of course I figured out right away using the Monitor III. In my opinion, the Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones are a super high quality on ear headphone set from a world class company, with easy-to-use features at a very accessible price. I highly recommend them.

This is my first go at using Marshall audio products. They have been on my radar over the last few years, but I haven’t taken the plunge until I saw these Miltons and I am thoroughly impressed. For some context, I use a lot of different headphones and earbuds; my wife says I have a problem. I have a few other ‘high-end’ headphones from a couple of other brands so I was curious how the Miltons from Marshall would stack up to those more expensive offerings. I can confidently say that the Miltons hold their own and in some places go past those more expensive options. Let me start off with the most important part of any headphone, the audio. I have left the Mitons EQ tuned to the original Marshall sound, and toggle on the Adaptive Sound that is supposed to adjust the tonal balance based on playback volume and what’s going on around you. I have been very happy with the sound. I have an eclectic taste in music and some of my playlists will bounce around between genres. I might have an old 90s country song, then the next will be a newer Hip-Hop track, then flip to some old school 80s music. Every song sounds great. Mids and Highs are clear, and Bass is prominent without overpowering the song. I’ve also used it connected to my laptop to watch movies and was again impressed with the sound. AND and Transparency are good. I was very happy with the ANC, it did a great job of eliminating my wife’s show playing next to me as well as the noise from the fan we have in our room. Voices are also eliminated which is good and bad. You can adjust the level of the ANC, but I just left it at the highest setting. Transparency can also be adjusted, but I would say Milton's transparency isn’t quite as good as what other brands are offering in this area. Still passable, but not the best. I love that Marshall included the ability to use Apple’s Find My or Google’s Find Hub. It was super easy to get it connected to Google’s Find Hub when I connected it to my Android phone. It was a little more involved trying to get them connected to Apple’s Find My when I tried connecting them to my iPhone. Another great note is since I had it connected to my Android and connected to my Google account, the headphones can easily switch over to my Google TV. This is great when I am trying not to wake my dozing wife. I have really enjoyed using these headphones from Marshall. The sound is great, what I would expect from Marshall. They are lightweight and comfortable to use for long periods of time. The battery has been great and something I don’t worry about. The only issue I have had so far which I hope is fixed in a firmware update is that the Spotify Tap feature has not worked. This issue is on both my iPhone and Android phone. The M-Button still works to toggle AND and Transparency, but I have not been able to get the Double Press to start Spotify. These are an amazing pair of headphones, and I prefer them compared to my other similarly priced headphones, and more expensive options. They are an easy recommendation.

I'll preface this that my review was done on a Mac and iPhone, so apples own headphones with their built in controls always have an advantage. But with these, the simple setup on the buttons doesn't really make that much of a difference. I always hate having to go into an app to change ANC, but the Marshall app has this though you can instead edit the M button and simply click it to what you like. The sound itself is also amazing. Good base and awesome sound, for headphones that are so small. The small size also doesn't mean they are too small, it more that it makes them light. They still fit over my hears and feel like any big over ear headset when it comes to sound and ANC, but are super easy to wear. The passthrough also works great. The music still sounds amazing but you can hear and talk to people. Using them both on my phone and my Mac, music and videos where all really nice, either ANC or passthrough. And they are easy to carry around as well because of the small size. The one interesting thing is that they have on USB-C spot for charging, you get that cable, and also a usb-c to audio cable. This is nice, but don't lose that cable as I don't think many people have that laying around. Overall though, awesome headphones especially if you like over the ear but want them portable and easy to carry.

I have always related the Marshall brand with rock music and that couldnt’ have been so far from the truth. The Marshall Milton A.N.C headphones sound amazing with all genre of music, I used it with several music apps which all worked to profection using the hi-res version of the apps. There is not a music app included but use the one you are most comfortable with. You are able to use presets to setup the different genre of music to dial it into the way you like hearing your music. I wore these for long listening sessions and they were extremely comfortable, light and non sweating to my ears. The build quality is very durable. The seperation was great but this may vary with preamamp and equipment you use. You can use the the equlizer to adjust the bass, mids and hi frequency and save to the presets. The battery life was good no issue there. Stated in the manual to last up to 3 days. With the included cables you not only use bluetooth but wired to your preamp as well. Setup was straight forward just scan the QR code and follow the prompt. All in all I enjoyed these headphones and would recommend taking them on for a test drive I believe you will be impressed with the quality.

Marshall is an iconic audio brand. These are my first Marshall headphones. As a classic audio brand, I was expecting great sound out of these. And as expected, Marshall did deliver. These do sound great, and the sound can be customized to your liking by using the Marshall Bluetooth app. But they do have some minor flaws that I will cover in this review. This is my review of the Marshall - Milton A.N.C. Wireless On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones. *TLDR at the bottom ================= IN THE BOX/SET-UP: I didn’t realize how compact the Marshall Milton ANC headphones were until I saw the box. The box these come in is surprisingly tiny. But no complaints there, everything that is needed for headphones is included. In the box, you get a USB-C to USB-C cable, an AUX to USB-C cable, a soft Marshall-branded carrying pouch, and some documentation. Set up is straightforward. These work right out of the box. No app is required, but I highly recommend the app if you would like to fully customize the sound to your liking. Also, I haven’t seen this in any headphones I’ve used before, but I absolutely love the guitar start-up sound and shutdown sound when turning the headphones on/off. ================= DESIGN/COMFORT: In terms of design, the Marshall Milton ANC headphones are both lightweight and compact. There isn’t much flexibility with the earcups themselves (no swivel), but height is adjustable by simply pulling up or down on the earcups. Many headphones include numbered labels(or lines) showing how much you have adjusted the headphones, but these lack the labels. As a result, every time I go to put them away and then later go take them out, I must go through trial and error to find the perfect setting. These headphones keep the number of buttons to a minimum, which I like. There is an M button on the left ear cup and a joystick on the right ear cup. I will go into more detail about the M button later, but it is customizable. The joystick is used for all your media controls. It can play/pause, adjust volume, play the next track, go back a track, etc. I enjoy this joystick over having 3 different buttons that do these things. In terms of comfort, the headphones are comfortable until they hit about the one-hour mark. At around this time, my ears start to feel some discomfort. I do have a big head, so that may be a factor, but typically when this happens, I take these off for about 10 minutes and take a break. I don’t have this issue with some other headphones. I think it may be an issue with the way the ear cushions sit on my ears. Luckily, this only happens with the ears. The headstrap is comfortable, and I’ve never felt any discomfort there. ================= SOUND/MICROPHONE QUALITY: Audio is balanced out of the box. If you are someone who doesn’t delve into EQ settings and all that audio stuff that can be configured, you would probably be fine with the sound outside the box. It's all crisp and clear. Highs sound great, lows are perfect and not overwhelming. But if you are looking to fine-tune your sound, the Marshall Bluetooth app has plenty of customization options for you. I found that increasing the lows too much can be a little too overwhelming. At some point, the audio starts to become mushy. I mostly listened to music on these, and all music sounded great. From Rock, Latin, Pop. Hip-Hop, etc. I was also able to watch a film and some videos, and these headphones certainly provide an immersive experience. For example, the lows of the rumbling vehicles moving in Transformers sounded amazing. As for the ANC and Transparency modes, both modes are great. The Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling on these is not the best I’ve used, but it does a good job at blocking out a lot of the quieter sounds, like my PC fan’s noise and the AC unit. Other items, like keyboard clicks and mouse clicks, the ANC does not block out. In Transparency mode, the mics do an excellent job of picking up external sound, and they all sound clear. I was able to test out the mic in calls and in work meetings. The audio in calls and meetings was clear, and no one complained about my mic sound quality, which is, of course, always great! ================= FEATURES/OTHER NOTES: Below are some key features and notes about the Marshall Milton ANC Headphones: - The M button has limited customization options (some custom options are switching noise control modes, EQ modes, and activating the phone’s voice assistant) - The headphones can integrate with Apple My Find and Android Find Hub in case you misplace them and need to locate them - Firmware updates are downloaded and installed via the Marshall Bluetooth app - Soundstage mode simulates an environment where you are listening to live music in a room (room size is adjustable) o Changes are subtle but noticeable after carefully listening o Instruments and vocals are more distinguishable and feel more immersive when this mode is turned on - Battery life is amazing. I’ve used the headset for a couple of days now and have yet to charge the device(Marshall says the device can get 50+ hours of playtime) - One feature I wish these headphones had is the ability for audio to stop playing when it detects that the headphones were removed from your head - There isn’t a whole lot of marketing for this feature, but these do support Bluetooth Multipoint connection with up to two devices (although audio source switching could be tweaked to work better) ================= CONCLUSION/TLDR: Overall, the Marshall Milton ANC Headphones are great. They sound terrific and have plenty of audio customization options through the app. One of my favorite features is Soundstage Mode, which simulates a live music environment. Instrumentals and vocals are distinguishable in this mode and seriously feel more immersive. AANC (Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation) wasn’t the best I’ve used compared to other headphones, but it is sufficiently good. One item I felt that I wish could’ve been better is comfort. I did feel ear discomfort after about an hour of use, which may be due to how these “hug” your head. But if you are willing to try these out for the audio, I certainly recommend them. They do sound amazing, and you will not be disappointed.

These Marshall Milton A.N.C. on-ear headphones are beautifully designed. They are clearly reminiscent of Marshall brand guitar style speakers. However, after trying them and comparing them to other headsets I own and use on the daily, I was sadly somewhat disappointed. Firstly, there is a Marshall Bluetooth app. Since I already have a few other Marshall electronics, the app was already installed on my phone so it was easy enough to pair and add this device. The app is simple to navigate. There are several useful features, though you can use this headset without the app, as well. Notable app features: Noise control choices - off/ANC/Transparency (with slider settings from low to high). Equalizer - fine tune the audio - “original Marshall sound,” Treble Boost, Bass Boost, along with an ‘Adaptive loudness’ setting. Customizable M-button. Power-off timer. Things that stood out as good: Texture of exterior earcups mirrors that of Marshall speakers; brass Marshall script logo. Soft, faux leather earcup cushions. Adjustable cushioned headband. USB-C to 3.5mm jack cord that looks like a mini version of a guitar instrument cable. Nice quality fabric carrying/storage drawstring bag. Audio quality was full, with a decent depth of sound when listening to music. Things that were “not so great”: Uncomfortable, even after only wearing the headphones for less than an hour. Instead of encasing your ears in the earcups, these smaller sized earcups rest upon your ears themselves, and even though the earcup cushions are very soft, it’s a pressure that did seem to wear on me over a short period of time. Although I was told that call quality was fine from the other person’s point of view, on my end I did think the other person’s voice came across as a bit muffled, not clear as one would hope or expect from a Marshall brand product. Overall, while these Marshall Milton A.N.C. on-ear headphones do look stylish and cool, harkening back to Marshall guitar speakers, I’m not sold on them and therefore cannot recommend.

The Marshall Milton ANC on ear headphones are feature packed and provide great ANC and sound processing options that really set this build apart. This review is based off of a week of use for both streaming and voice calling. TL:DR - These headphones are very obviously Marshall, with a sleek high quality appearance that still feels sturdy enough to last. The ear cups sit on the ear, allowing for immersive sound and quality ANC with very little sound leakage at moderate to loud volumes. The downside of this design is that the ear cup pads get warm and I'm not a huge fan due to the pressure on my ears after wearing them for an hour or more. The sound quality and app control options exceed expectations of the price point, and the included headphone adaptor yields high fidelity sound through my guitar amp. Pros: ANC is really really good The sound experience is on point, both with depth and clarity, with additional soundstage enhancements via the app settings App customization allows for ANC / pass through controls Lightweight Great battery life, fast charging Cons: The ear cups get warm after wearing for a while The on ear design isn't comfortable for long duration wear, about 2 hours is my max In the box are the headphones, short usb-c charging cable, usb-c to 3.5mm jack adaptor cord, and paperwork. Setup is straight forward, on Android it paired via bluetooth after power up. On Apple there was a popup recommending to install the companion app. Once installing the app you then have the ability to set ANC and or passthrough levels, customize the eq settings, customize the "m-button" which is a Marshall feature toggle, located on the right earcup, set soundstage parameters, turn on battery and power off time, as well as "find my device", which may be specific to Apple, I didn't install the app on my Android due to the easy capability within the Apple platform. A few features that really stand out include the adaptive loudness. I can set the volume and if I go into a louder environment the volume will automatically raise so you perceive it at the same level. I have a few headphones that attempt this, but these Milton's do a really good job of it feeling natural and not over driven or getting too loud. They also adjust rapidly, which helps it feel very natural. The soundstage option is another nice feature which controls the spatial audio via digital signal processing so it gives a bit more separation between vocal and instruments, to allow for a music hall style experience. If you have tried other Marshall products, you'll agree they have a very specific sound warmth that is also prominent with these headphones. Last thing to note, when taking calls I found that the ANC made me want to speak up, but the other person could hear me fine at quiet speaking levels, such as you would with someone sitting next to you in a quiet room. The headphones do pick up background noise if nearby, such as if I took a drink they could hear the ice on the cup, however for general environmental noise, the other person can hear you clearly. Bottom line is that these aren't for everyone, if you are prone to having ear discomfort with on ear headphones, these are no different and not something I'd recommend. On the flip side, I let my teenager try them, and he had no complaints on comfort or heat buildup, so your mileage may vary. If you are looking for the portability and light weight of on ear headphones, then these will absolutely impress you, the sound quality and immersive listening experience is one of the best I've had with on ear headphones, the adaptive volume and adjustable ANC are the best I've experienced with on ear, and the overall build and features can't be beat at this price point. I had to go with 4 stars for the comfort, the build and features are top notch, but I don't enjoy wearing them for long periods of time.

First of all, I like how these headphones look and feel. The look is distinctive. After using another model from Marshall from a few years back, this improved in about every aspect, while preserving its distinctive look and it's more sensibly priced than other brands. These headphones are 'above the ears' so they sit above your ears, not around them like in larger models, so they are smaller. They feel very comfortable, I can wear them most of the day. The padding on the earcups is very comfortable as well as on the band. Height adjustment is very straightforward without much friction and they stay in place. The pieces between the headband and earcups are metal, with solid folding hinges, it's built nicely and to last. There are two buttons: On the left there is the distinctive 'joystick' that's truly fantastic. I used many headphones, and this is among the best. It's intuitive and reliable. Moving the button up or down is volume, back and forward for tracks. Single press is play/pause. Long press for power, and for pairing, either double press or keep holding it while turning on for pairing. On the left earcup, there is a single button that's configurable and by default controls the ANC/Transparency. These headphones are perhaps the most intuitive of all the headphones I used. It has microphones to handle voice calls, assistant and to detect noise level. Nothing too special about it, works as it should. Can take calls with these headphones at home no problem. Didn't use it outside for calls though. The noise cancellation works, is has three pre-set levels and an adaptive mode that senses the amount of noise to auto-adjust. Because it's an on-ear design it doesn't isolate noise as much as models that completely cover the ears, but works for the most part, and it's very comfortable. At home or while working, when the noise levels are not too high, I prefer using the transparency mode instead, which keeps me aware of the environment while still sounding great. The audio quality is very good. I generally tweak the sound using the equalized, which is part of the Marshall app, however the pre-set 'Marshall sound' produces a rich sound, with excellent mids, with very clear voices, good highs and decent bass, so end up leaving it as-is. From podcasts to an eclectic selection of music, all sounded very good. When setting up the headphones, the phone recommends installing the Marshall app for Bluetooth, which I did. About everything on the headphones is customizable, from button functions, equalizer, noise cancellation levels, soundstage, manage paired devices, how it powers off, etc. For example, one can choose to leave the headphone on if music is not playing or no phone connected, like when traveling, or turn it off quickly to preserve battery. For wired connectivity, it has an USB-C port that's for charging, but also for USB audio, so could connect it directly to a phone, tablet or computer, and it provides microphone over USB-C as well. It also comes with a coiled cable for USB to audio jack, so it would work on a plane that provides audio jack, computer or tablet. It comes with a short USB-C cable and the long, coiled USB-C to audio. Bluetooth supports the latest BT 6.0 with Auracast (which I currently have no use for but it, but through the app, supports joining a 'Bluetooth Broadcast' like in a venue without having to stay connected to the phone, once set up), or share audio from some phones to multiple headsets. This is something that's planned for concerts, theaters or stadiums, mostly. For audio codecs, it supports the standard SBC that works on any phone, AAC that's mostly for Apple and some Android, and supports LDAC, which is an alternative to APT-X and it's intended for Hi-Res audio. Besides high end phones, some Sony turntables and receivers support it as well. This was a pleasant surprise. The headphone can connect to two devices at a time of a total of 8 connections, and the connections can be edited from within the app. While I personally use an iPhone, I also use a Pixel phone and connected both at the same time. When either device starts playing, it switches seamlessly. I was pleasantly surprised how well this works. A pleasant surprise is that it supports either Android or Apple's find my. When in pairing mode, Android will prompt to add it to its network, and on Apple, open the Find My app and it recognizes it. Lastly, it also supports a 'Soundstage' mode which can optionally adjust the audio to make it sound more like being in a stadium or similar stage where the audio sound more spread-out, with customizable settings. Battery is excellent, like expected on headphones, there is space for the battery and after using it for good part of a week since last charged it, it has many hours left. While the ANC could be better, it's good in most cases and the sound is excellent. I like how easy it is to control it with the button.

Marshall does disappoint when it comes to their products and these headphones are no exception. The Marshall Milton headphones are their newest addition and deliver exceptional sound, comfort, and portability in their signature retro style. *What’s included?* The headphones come packaged with a carry bag, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, and USB-C to audio jack extendable cable. *Construction Quality* The headphones are retractable, small, and lightweight with on-the-ear cushions. The headband is sturdy yet pliable, lined with light padding covered in soft plastic. The ear cushions are lined with the same plastic but are far more cushioned. There are two multi-purpose buttons, one which is customizable, and they are ergonomically placed so the thumbs can easily find them. I was initially wary of how the retractable portions to protrude significantly. When it comes to transportation, this made me nervous about possibly damaging them, but they appear to be made from a plastic-coated thick metal. They feel incredibly solid and robust, which brings me some peace of mind that I won’t knock them on something and chip them off. When it comes to comfort, it depends on the wearer and the length of usage. They are highly comfortable, especially when it comes to on-the-ear headphones. The problem arises when you wear glasses like I do. In this case, using them over an hour may cause tension aches because they press the ears to the glasses’ legs which press on your head. Still, these are by far the most comfortable on-the-ear headphones I have tried thus far and the longest I can last wearing some before the discomfort becomes evident. Additionally, they stay on the head and do not shift around when I move my head. *Sound* The sound profile is amazingly rich, smooth, crisp, and textured. The bass can get both deep and boomy or punchy depending on the music. Vocals come through with a bright unmuddied richness. They do seem slightly heavier on the bass which makes them initially sound a bit muddled, but with some eq tinkering, every genre comes through splendidly. *ANC and Transparency* The ANC is superb. External sounds have to be pretty loud to get through. Even when nothing is playing, sounds are very muted and faint. Transparency mode is also fantastic. It allows me to hear my environment almost as if I wasn’t wearing headphones and the sound that comes through is true-to-life, meaning that it doesn’t have that odd distortion that some headphones create. *Mic* Likewise, the mic is really good as it picks up sounds, even whispers, perfectly well and they sound true-to-life, making them perfect for taking phone calls. *App* These integrate with the Marshall app. The app works seamlessly, found the headphones immediately and is great for keeping their firmware updated along with customizing the sound according to preference. The Soundstage setting is phenomenal with Marshall. It adds that boost and oomph you get when experiencing live music and just adds a richness to the experience. *Battery Life* The battery life is stated to last at over 50 hours, which so far is quite accurate for me as I have used it for about 15hours and still have 74% left. So, at my rate I only need to charge it every once or twice a month. *Conclusion* Overall, these are great compact headphones. The fact that they stay unmoving on the head makes these great for workouts and anyone who is highly active. They provide comfort, unless you wear glasses, and have a long battery life. Most importantly, they deliver where it matters, in sound.

I have been a huge fan of Marshall speakers and headphones for a long time. When I first unboxed the Milton headphones, I was a bit skeptical because of their smaller size. Once I put them on, though, the ear cups were so plush and comfortable that I immediately thought, "Oh yeah, these are going to rock." Bluetooth setup was quick and easy, and syncing the headphones with the Marshall app took only a few moments. With everything connected, it was finally time to see what the Milton headphones were all about. The first song I played had a deep bass drop within the first ten seconds, and holy cow, immersive. It was the cleanest, deepest bass I have ever experienced from a pair of headphones. Not only that, but the mids and highs were perfectly balanced as well. No matter what volume level I used, the headphones handled everything I threw at them without clipping, distortion, or stuttering. I tested them with metal, rock, rap, classical, vocal, and pop music, and every genre sounded fantastic through the 32mm drivers. Songs I have listened to hundreds of times felt fresh and more detailed than I remembered. I am absolutely blown away by the audio quality. To get the most out of these headphones, I highly recommend downloading the Marshall app. It unlocks a ton of useful features, including three EQ presets, one tuned by Marshall and two customizable options. You can also choose from additional preset sound profiles or create your own custom EQ settings. The app includes control over ANC and Transparency Mode, customizable button functions, Spotify Tap setup, battery preservation settings, idle timers, Apple “Find My” support, Soundstage controls, and firmware updates. Speaking of Soundstage, I thought that feature was incredibly cool. It allows you to simulate different room sizes and adjust the amount of spatial effect applied to your music. The result is a more open and spacious listening experience that feels less like the sound is being pumped directly into your ears. I keep it enabled all the time. Beyond the outstanding audio and app features, the build quality deserves recognition as well. Like all Marshall products, the Milton headphones fit right in with the rest of the lineup. They are absolutely gorgeous. The leather-like finish, brass accents, and iconic Marshall styling make them look like a natural extension of the company's legendary amplifiers. The headband is wrapped in soft, cushioned material that remains comfortable during long listening sessions. The headphones adjust easily to fit different head sizes and fold down compactly enough to fit perfectly inside the included carrying bag. Even the bag looks premium. The button layout is simple and intuitive, with one button on each ear cup. You get a customizable "M" button and Marshall's signature brass control button for power, volume adjustments, and track skipping. The built-in microphones also performed very well during calls. Everyone I spoke with said I sounded clear and natural. It is a great convenience to be able to answer a call directly from the headphones without having to fumble for your phone or needing to take the headphones off. Included in the box is a USB-C charging cable and a USB-C to 3.5mm audio cable featuring an awesome old-school coiled design that perfectly matches the Marshall aesthetic. As for negatives, I honestly do not have any. I love everything about these headphones, from the incredible sound quality, premium build, useful features, and timeless Marshall style. If you are looking for a pair of wireless headphones that sound amazing, feel great, and look even better, the Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones are an easy recommendation. They have completely elevated my music listening experience, and they might do the same for yours.

I've never heard of Marshall as a brand, so I had to actually research them a bit and turns out they're actually well known in other circles. I thought ON ear earphones with ANC and their name brand behind them sounded intriguing so I gave these a try. Good packaging that is eye catching and inside you get the mini-cans themselves with a USB-C charging cable, USC-C to 1/8", carrying pouch and a few other items. I wish they came with a small, compact hard carrying case like the Beats or Sonos Ace though. The headphones are incredibly light. They are far from over the ear cans and fit comfortable dab smack on your ear with some comfortable cushion. Did I mention they are crazy light? Coming from SteelSeries, Beats, Sonos and more, these will feel downright petite in your hands and on your head. Aesthetically, they are stylish with an all black design and gold highlights. As always in this day and age, there is an app and downloading it reveals a firmware update waiting for install. I used the headphones for a few days before even using the app or installing the firmware. No noticeable difference firmware wise but you will absolutely need the app for adjustments. As for sound quality, to say these are bass forward is an understatement. If you're a bass lover, you are in the right spot but for many audio listening sessions, the bass is overpowering. Use the app to adjust, right? I did, down to the lowest levels I could set and only then does the bass come back into the realm of acceptability thankfully. With the bass set to an acceptable level, the soundscape is actually rather nice. It is soft and lush (I believe some call it "warm") with great mids and good highs. I listen to several selections ranging from Kitaro's "Caravansary" (my go to for bass and mid checks) to "Queen of the Night" followed by Foo Fighter's "Everlong" and "My Hero" and finally Queen's "Love of my Life," and these headphones deliver nicely. A lot of fine detail missed by plenty of pairs of headphones I've tried is front and center with the Marshalls. I actually think they sound better than my Beats Studio 3 pair of over the ear cans. One feature I enjoyed using with the app was the virtual soundstage settings letting it sound as if you're in a room and moves the sound a bit out of your head. Applying the stock settings to something like Celine Dion's rendition of "Hymne a l'amour" from the Olympics was an absolute treat. This feature can also extract more detail on certain songs too like the aforementioned Celine masterpiece. As for their ANC, prepare to be underwhelmed. I tried it at every level, and while it is there, it is not great. Part of this is the on ear versus over ear design and the other is the actual ANC implementation itself. I tried these at my local gym along with my go to Apple Beats Studio 3 and a pair of ANC earbuds for testing and these were nowhere near as good as the Beats and a touch below the ANC earbuds. It can't even come close to something like my Sonos Ace which have ridiculously good levels of ANC. I wouldn't buy these for the ANC, but if I liked a pinch of ANC here or there on top of other criteria, it would be ok. One pro of the ANC is setting the level just enough to allow the soundscape to flourish by at least dampening some external noise. Battery life is excellent. After several hours of use over several days with ANC enabled and volume well above 50%, I had ~74% left. Overall, I like them. Lightweight and well built, the sound quality is well above average and they are incredibly light weight. The app gives you a decent level of control and customization. On the other hand, the bass is to forward facing and the ANC is weaker than expected. I'll end up using these on the go due to their compact size and very good sound.

It’s the name, branding and signature style that makes these special. Directly compared to some other headphones, I personally didn't notice any major sound difference until I made some changes. Don’t get me wrong, these are still nice headphones, just don’t feel like they are something I would go out of my way for unless I just wanted the Marshall logo to show off. The adaptive active noise canceling is decent. Sometimes it works so well it almost feels like my head is stuffed up. It also has transparency mode that helps with being able to hear louder sounds if you are out and about, so you don’t stand in the path of that bicycle. The audio quality is on par with others I have tried of the same size. You can use the Marshall Bluetooth app to modify lows/mids/highs to your liking and get some deeper bass if that is what you prefer. I do like the metal directional button that lets you skip, adjust volume and play/pause. You also have the “M button” on the other side that you can change settings with the app. You can have it cycle through noise control, equalizer, enable/disable soundstage, activate the voice assistant or do nothing. Which leaves you out of the other cycles as you can only choose one. The soundstage kind of adds like a small reverb effect, giving the sound a bit more of an open sound, like you are in a large room, or smaller room if that is what you set it to. You really have to cycle it to notice the difference, but it is there. Battery life is listed as 50+ hours, but as with all battery items, depends on usage and this is at medium volume with ANC. I have not timed it myself, but a few hours here and there over several days before it finally needed a charge was pretty impressive. With about 2 hours to full charge. These do fold up and come with a little bag. This is good to keep with you as these are not water resistant and best to be stored away if it starts to rain on you. They aren’t a whole lot smaller when they are folded, but do make them a bit less bulky. They also come with a coiled 3.5mm to USB-C cable if you still have one of those, but it does still need to be powered on. Now, the changes you can make are with the extra codecs of LC3 and LDAC, which on my Android device you have to go into the settings of the Bluetooth device and enable LDAC. This allows for hearing higher bit rate audio files, like FLAC for instance. I was not able to figure out the LC3 option though, but should also allow higher bit rates at lower latency. Overall, these are nice headphones. They clearly have that signature Marshall look to them, like having two miniature amps on your ears. I do feel that you can get similar audio from other headsets without the added brand premium. But, those also don’t typically offer the ability to replace battery and ears pads like these do.

I'm extremely happy with the Marshall Milton ANC On-Ear headphones. While they aren't going to perform as well as the highest-end heaphones in terms of audio quality, or as well at noise cancelling as Over-Ear fully insulating headphones, the Milton's still punch way above their weight class. A beautifully wide sound space paired with solid noise cancelling in a relatively small package make these an easy recommendation for me. Based on initial images, I was worried I wouldn't like the style, made to look like Marshall amps, but that style has grown on me quite a bit. One of the biggest breaking points for me when it comes to headphones is fit. I have a big big large head, XL hats sometimes fit, that's how large. I typically avoided On-Ear in the past, especially when it comes with ANC because it usually means smushing your ears to create a noise cancelling seal. I'm happy to report that the Milton's flex very comfortably to my head size. They don't clamp my ears at all and I was able to wear them for a 5 hour flight with zero discomfort. One of the other big positives for me is the physical controls on the headphones. So many companies are switching to touch surfaces which I find finicky and annoying. The Miltons are built on a 4 directional nub that allows full and intuitive control. However, Marshall has scrapped the headphone jack on these headphones, instead including a USB-C to 3.5mm cable to connect to any device with 3.5mm. That means, if you want to connect to your phone via a wired connection, you will either need a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect directly, or to add an additional 3.5mm to USB-C dongle to your adapter cable. It's a bummer, especially for a company known for audio. I really put these headphones through their paces using my FLAC files stored on my phone. They sounded crisp and large when listening to "The Moon Cave" by Gorillaz bouncing between it's organic and digital instruments with ease. Switching to "Dodecahedron" by Mandy, Indiana, the grunge carried through on the club-bumping bass and the flowing french vocals and the digital(?) pipes. While I'm sure a wired connection would take this even further, the default Bluetooth settings really outperformed and I was exceptionally happy with them. My final small caveat is that these headphone are designed in a way that when you fold them up, they are really not that much smaller than they were open. I feel like it makes them sturdier in the long run, but it's still weird to have them fold and really get zero extra space back in your bag. All in all, as consumer electronics continue to rise in price, the Marshall Miltons are an incredible bang for the buck. And when/if these go on sale these become even more of an instant buy. The Marshall Milton ANC Headphones arrived nicely packaged with a cloth headphone cover/case and in beautiful condition. They came in a black color with a gold button used to turn them on, off and to pair via Bluetooth. They were easy to set up after their first full charge using a USB C cord (included). Marshall has a smartphone application that provides settings control, sound equalizer, bass boost, soundstage to make the sound more spacious, listen to broadcast, Spotify tap, interaction sound control, power off timer and battery preservation. In addition, Apple's FindMy App can be set up to track, find and locate thje Marshall Milton ANC (Automatic Noise Cancellation) Headphones. These new Marshall Milton ANC Headphones really pump out full spectrum sound; deep thumping bass (3 levels of control), clear treble and great mid tones. The headphones sit on your ear and do not completely encompass your ears so the ears stay cooler less sweaty than over-the-ear headphones while still providing excellent noise cancellation and great sound. They are compact when folded up and easy to travel with. These on-ear Marshall Milton ANC Headphones are my new favorite and will travel with me everwhere I go this year!

They have the Marshall sound, which is awesome, but I find the ear pads to be a bit small for my ears compared to other headphones which will cover my whole ear, these definitely didn't and while the active noise cancellation does work and work well, since it doesn't cover my whole ear outside sounds were more likely to sneak in, which is more an issue when listening to quiet music, then louder music. Even that doesn't really matter as the sound for the headphones is great. I'm also happy it folds up very small making it fit in a computer bag that much easier, and since it also includes a bag to protect it, they are the perfect travel pair for the office. The battery life is great and even though the headphone pads are small they are comfortable and can be worn all day easily even with glasses allowing you to drown out the office noise and rock at work. Setup via blue tooth works well and while a application on the phone isn't needed it is useful to update firmware which is always a good thing. These are great compact headphones that look good and sound great.

Marshall is one of those classic American audio brands that folks associate with loud - in a good way. Overall, these headphones reflect that quality and history. They sound great and easily transportable. They also have that classic leather grain look. It also came with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, a cool carrying pouch, and a USB-C to 3.5 mm audio jack cable. The battery life is also industry-leading and I have been using them for several long listening sessions and calls and so far it has no sign of running out of battery. It works really well with the iOS companion app too - which my iPhone prompted me to install when I paired them, which was also super easy - I just held the button in and it started the Bluetooth setup. The button also works well for wireless commands like pausing, skipping, and going back to previous songs. The only drawback for me is the size of the ear cups are a bit small and don't go around your ears, at least for me. The also do get warm even with short to moderate sessions, but otherwise it's a really solid product.

I am not a fan of on-ear headphones; my preference is over-the-ear headphones. However, the Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones feel comfortable around my head and on my ears. I only wear them for about two hours a day or so, but during that time I don't feel any discomfort. The cups don't seem to put too much pressure on the ears, which is very important if you're going to wear these for an extended period. I personally don’t think I could wear these for more than 4 hours a day, but if you are used to on-ear headphones, you likely could wear them for longer. Another design feature I like about the Milton A.N.C. headphones is how compact they are after they are folded. They aren’t bulky and they won't take up a lot of space inside a large purse or carry-on bag. Having said that, I hate that they don’t come with a hard case. Instead of a hard plastic case, these Marshall headphones come with a pouch that is made of material that will be hard to keep clean; I don’t know if the material is nylon or polyester, but the pouch is a complete dust magnet. It makes me concerned about traveling with these which is a real shame due to the compact design of the headphones. It just doesn't make sense to me to put all this effort into making the Milton A.N.C. travel-friendly regarding its size and how they fold, but then you put them in a soft mini sack? They can easily get crushed in a suitcase if you aren’t mindful of their fragility as you pack them. The headphones themselves consist of cheap looking faux leather material. While it's not my aesthetic preference, I do like how unique these headphones are. The Milton A.N.C. looks like something a rockstar would use in a recording studio. I don’t see anyone walking around with headphones that look like these, so if you’re someone who is into unique designs and doesn’t want to look like everyone else, then Marshall’s design choice is for you. The battery life of these headphones is EXCELLENT, another reason why these would be great to use during a 2–4-hour flight or train ride. Straight out the box, the Milton A.N.C. has decent base without needing to reconfigure the base settings in the Marshall app. I like a heavy amount of base in my headphones, so if you’re like me, you will likely want to tweak the settings a bit. Still, I was satisfied listening to them “as is” for the most part. Vocals play crisp and clear, and fast-paced, lively music still sounds powerful when played at a lower volume. Percussion of all kinds also sound great on these headphones. Play some upbeat music from Michael Jackson or Earth, Wind, and Fire and you’ll know what I mean. Speaking of the Marshall app settings, I am unsure of how to feel about the app anyway, as I hear little difference between the “Marshall original" sound and “Bass boost” for example. I think the “Marshall original" setting might sound slightly better. I also don’t like the transparency mode on the Milton A.N.C. because I don’t like how it distorts my music. This is the first pair of headphones where I had an issue with transparency mode which is a real shame because that is the mode I like to use when I’m walking outside for an extended amount of time. However, the noise canceling is decent considering these do not cover the ear, and I do feel most noises are blocked out when I wear these indoors. Wearing them outside is a different story; how well the A.N.C. feature works outside depends on the volume at which I am playing my music, what is happening around me, and how I have them positioned on my ears. This is where over-the-ear headphones and earbuds outshine on-ear headphones; unless it is a snug fit and sits on the ear just right, the noise- cancelling feature on the Milton A.N.C. will not perform optimally while worn outside, and they certainly can’t compete with the noise-cancelling performance of my over-the-ear headphones. Despite “A.N.C.” being part of the name, it’s just not powerful enough, and the app isn’t helpful in fixing this issue. It’s a limitation that comes with being an on-ear audio device. Still, you can certainly find worse active noise-cancelling products on the market. If you’re someone that prefers to be hyper-aware of your environment, then the noise-cancelling being weak on the Milton A.N.C. headphones (at times, depending on circumstance) will not bother you at all. According to Marshall’s website, the Milton A.N.C. are supposed to automatically adjust “your sound to match your surroundings and preferred listening level.” I haven’t really been able to test this, as I primarily wear these at home, I live alone, and it’s quiet in my house most of the time, so I can’t say for sure how well the Milton A.N.C. performs in this area.

I know that most people today prefer the clean look of “earbuds”, but I actually prefer old school headphones. Earbuds are just too much of a challenge to keep in place. Headphones tend to have better sound, better noise cancelling and longer battery life. It’s a small price to pay for looking like I stepped out of the 1970’s. A few years back, I invested in a pair of noise cancelling wireless headphones from a popular audio brand. They are comfortable, and the active noise cancelling feature works well enough to wear when using noisy lawn tools. My only complaint has been with their sound quality, so I’m always looking for something better, and that’s when I came across these Marshall Milton A.N.C. Wireless Headphones. I am not a musician, but a few family members are, so I am familiar with the quality of the Marshall brand. I also liked the cool retro look, so I ordered them. The first thing I noticed was the cool packaging. Sliding the outer box cover up and off reveals a the headphones sitting in a cardboard “display case”. The headphones themselves are just as stylish with a soft faux leather covering on the headband and outer earpieces. The headband and ear cups are soft and well-padded for comfort. Instead of the adjustment bands being hidden inside the headband, the Marshall Miltons use a sleek metal slide with an infinitely position friction slide. They definitely add to the professional look of these headphones. When fully retracted and folded, these headphones are compact enough to fit in a backpack or even a large pocket of cargo pants. Even turning them on is a delight. Instead of just a power light or even a “power on” voice announcement, they play a cool guitar lick. Like the headphones, the Marhsall app is well-designed and easy to use. It offers various sound and equalizer settings as well as programming a function for the “Marshall Button” on the left earpiece. The control on the right earpiece is a small “job button” that works for many features, including play/pause, track skip, volume, answer/end and power. Although it sounds like a lot of functionality has been jammed into one control, it’s truly very intuitive and much easier to use than trying to learn multiple buttons. There’s a USB-C port for charging, but it also comes with a cord that plugs into that providing a wired 2.5mm audio jack. That’s right – you can go full retro and hard plug these Marshall Milton headphones into your stereo system. Of course modern Bluetooth offers great sound, but there’s nothing like listening to vinyl over wired headphones. There is really one main reason for buying these Marshall Milton headphones and that is sound, and the quality is fantastic! The bass is deep without sounding boomy or artificial, and the critical midtones are clear. Combined with active noise cancelling, these are not only the best headphones I’ve used in this price range, but they rank right up there with wired audiophile headphones costing 5 times the price. They do a great job of isolating external sounds, especially low and midrange frequencies. In terms of battery life, these Marshall Milton headphones are excellent. They are rated at 50 hours with ANC and 80 without. So far, I’ve listened to them for over 20 hours and they still report over 60% battery life remaining. If you want great sounding and great looking headphones with wired and wireless capability, these Marshall Miltons are exactly what you are looking for. They check all the boxes and offer great value. I highly recommend them.

I am a big fan of Marshall headphones, especially the On ear Major V’s That I use in the gym. The Milton automatic noise canceling model are also on ear, which is surprising for adaptive noise canceling headphones, which are typically over the year. In my experience on ear headphones are more comfortable and also a bit more discreet and appearance. When comparing the Milton to the major headphones, the external width of the on ear cup is increased, but not the depth. The non-cushioned opening is also larger than in the major headphones, and they are slightly less comfortable. The speaker and electronic component of the earpiece is slightly thicker, but the overall look is quite similar. They fold up Fairly small and come with a carrying bag. The labeling is slightly different with the textured component, extending all the way to the ear cushion. The connection between the headband and each individual ear component is now plastic instead of metal but seems to be well-made and of similar function and comfort. The noise canceling function it’s surprisingly excellent. I tested it both with background speech, which was fairly loud and a loud fan noise to simulate air flight. I have not flown with these and I am unsure whether their passive noise restriction. Is there as good as my over the ear 10 year-old Bose, quiet comfort, headphones. The overall music sound, functionality and portability is better with the newer on ear Marshall headphones. The app is excellent and allows customization of the M button, including a toggle between noise, cancellation and transparent mode. These all function well. The most important thing with headphones, especially for music is the sound quality which is excellent on these new Milton headphones as well as my older non ANC major headphones. In my opinion, another excellent martial audio product!

The Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones made a great first impression right out of the box. The packaging is smartly designed—even the tape on the bottom has little pull tabs, which makes opening it surprisingly easy. Inside, everything feels premium: a beautiful carrying bag, a charging cord, and an audio jack. Setup was mostly smooth. The software installation was straightforward, though I did see two “Milton ANC” devices pop up during pairing (one with “LE”), which was a bit confusing at first. Once I selected the correct one, they paired quickly and have stayed connected well most of the time. The sound quality is spectacular—rich, full, and immersive. The active noise cancelling is extremely effective at blocking out external noise. In fact, it works so well that my ears occasionally get a little "moist" from how sealed-in the experience is. Comfort is one of the biggest highlights. This is easily one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever worn. The ear cushions are soft and plush, and the tension on the headband is just right—secure without ever feeling tight. I can wear them for long stretches without any discomfort. Battery life is excellent, and I love how they fold neatly into the included bag. It makes them feel even more travel‑friendly and well thought out. I have run into one small issue: on rare occasions, the headphones show as connected but the sound won’t play on videos. When that happens, it’s really nice to have the included audio jack as a backup. Plugging in solves the problem instantly. Overall, the Marshall Milton A.N.C. headphones offer outstanding sound, top‑tier comfort, and thoughtful design. Even with the occasional Bluetooth hiccup, which I have not troubleshooted yet, they’re a fantastic choice for anyone who wants high‑quality audio with strong noise cancellation.
