Delightfully simple but effective pool robot

This pool robot is not a super fancy or complex, it doesn’t scrub, it can’t reach your side walls, but if you have a shallow or above ground pool with corners, this robot will do a fine job getting out that bottom debris.
The robot is basically composed of 4 parts: top half, the bottom half and sandwiched in between a fine pre-filter and filter. It has a 120 minute total cleaning cycle which you can divide up across multiple days using the single power/selector button. This allows you to leave the robot in the pool and have it automatically run. I went with the 3 days - 40 minute runs, which for me allowed me to set it and forget it for long enough and be able to come back to it when its waste bin was completely full.
I found that the algorithm seemed less intentional and more random, but that might have more to do with my organic pool design rather than the robots path planning. The A1 did a good job removing leaves and dirt. To clean the unit there are 2 clips above the wheels which separate the top and bottom so you can dump out the bottom and wash out the 2 filters. Overall, for the price it’s an effective robot especially for an above ground pool.

The A1 Series robotic pool cleaner is for pools up to 1076 square feet. The Best Buy web listing states inground pools and the WYBOT web listing lists all pool types with a flat bottom/ up to 15-degree slope. The battery can provide up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning time. The battery takes up to two and a half hours to charge. The robot will move to the edge of the pool when the battery is low for easy retrieval. The robot has a handle on the back and a hook that attaches to your pool skimmer handle for retrieval. The unit comes pre-assembled except for a flipper that must be attached before use. This model of the Robotic Pool cleaner only cleans the floor of the pool; it does not do the sides. The robot can be set up to clean the pool up to 4 times in 7 days. After a two-hour run the entire floor was cleaned without missing any part. Following the enclosed instructions all functions are set up using the power button and the four colored lights on the robot. It is recommended that you clean the 2-part filtering system after each use. After the initial cleaning of the pool, I set up one of the preset cleaning cycles and cleaned the filter after the third cleaning. Please remember to turn off the pool filtration system while cleaning.

Biggest issue is due to the shape of my pool, the cleaner never leaves the shallow end. If I place it in the deep end it quickly gets itself up into the shallow end of my pool and never leaves. I think my pool at that end is too narrow and the cleaner gets into a bump and go pattern that never allows a breakout. The cleaner has three different wheel settings to create different patterns but all three result in same issue.
I assumed at first that the cleaner was like my robot vacuum and would memorize the shape of pool.
Not the case. It simply relies on wheel settings and bump and go actions to create random patterns across pool floor.
Second disappointment is the cleaner does not generate enough suction to allow it to climb and clean walls. It is strictly a bottom cleaner. My Polaris Sport 3900 cleaner climbs the walls to the waters surface.
I suspect the issue of cleaner remaining only in my shallow end is due to shape of my pool.
Overall not a bad product but I think it may work with only specific pool shape

So I just received my Wybot A1 Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner a few days ago and have been testing it out in our pool out back. Now we only have a small pool and being first time pool owners we've noticed how difficult it can be at times to clean your pool thoroughly. So when the chance came along to snag one of these robotic cleaners, I had to jump on it. Upon unpacking it, which is packed very nicely and compact, you will notice the strong build quality of the robotic pool cleaner. It doesn't feel cheap or like it was thrown together. With this pool cleaner being small along with the included user manual, we were able to quickly familiarize ourselves with all of the different parts and getting it setup and cleaning the bottom of our pool. Also included is the power adapter needed to charge it up. To be so small its very mighty. We let it go and it did its thing going back and forth and cleaning our pool. After completion and removal from the pool, simply pull down the latches on either side above the wheels to separate the top and bottom halves of the cleaner to gain access to the filter tray where it collects all of the debris it sucked up. Once open you can dump all the debris into a trashcan and use a water hose to clean and spray off the cotton foam and put everything back together and that's it. Great recommendation to anyone with a small to medium-sized pool to help take the not-so-fun work out of cleaning your pool.

This robot takes all the grunt work out of cleaning your pool. I’ve already started cleaning mine this season with this little robot and it does a remarkable job for what it is. It’s very strong for its size. The build quality is quite superb and I think this will last me for many summers and cleanings to come. Also, it is so intuitive to learn and to operate. Basically, if you have any experience with a pool vacuum ,then this will be a breeze for you to learn. After initial charging, I had the thing up and running underwater in my pool going to town. This robot has started cleaning my pool daily and though I have a small pool at 25 feet, I could see this being very useful for medium sized to even larger pools. One charge gets you about 90 minutes of underwater cleaning. It’s too bad I can’t put it in my hot tub. It would benefit. It reminds me of a robot, vacuum cleaner for a home so much. It is super lightweight and easy to manage and I can really appreciate that. If you’re looking for a way to clean your pool automatically, you really can’t go wrong with this little guy.

I really wanted to like this cordless robotic pool cleaner because the concept itself is very appealing. Not having to deal with cords or hoses is genuinely convenient, and from a setup standpoint it’s refreshingly simple. You drop it in the pool, start it up, and let it do its thing. The lightweight design also makes it easy to pull out and clean when it’s done.
In actual day-to-day use, though, the cordless design comes with some noticeable tradeoffs. The battery life wasn’t quite enough to consistently complete a full cleaning cycle in my in-ground pool, especially when there was more debris than usual. I also found that the suction power felt limited, particularly with heavier dirt and leaves. It handled lighter debris fine, but it didn’t feel as thorough or consistent across the pool floor and walls as I was hoping.
Overall, this cleaner feels like a solid and novel idea that prioritizes convenience, but it doesn’t fully replace the performance I expect from a robotic pool cleaner yet. It’s easy to use and low effort, but the battery and suction limitations hold it back from being a standout.

If you own a pool, you need a robot cleaner ASAP! For SO LONG I've wanted a pool cleaning robot that would help me spend less time cleaning the pool and more time doing other more important stuff.
The opportunity finally came to get my hands on the Wybot A1 pool cleaner, and boy was I excited. As soon as it was dropped off I got everything set up and dropped it in my pool. Not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about how effective a robot pool cleaner could really be.
After about an hour, I could already see that the Wybot A1 is a great investment, and a must-have if you own a pool. This little bot really does a great job at picking up debris and really gets the job done.
The Wybot is very user friendly and allows you to set cleaning duration that ranges from 30-120 minutes. I usually keep it at an hour intervals.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recomment the Wybot A1 Pool Robot to anyone with a pool. It has saved me so much time and maintenance. My filters are cleaner for much longer. It really is a great investment, and for the price, you will thank yourself for buying it.

So I had two pools we have home in nj and one in Florida. The one in nj is a mess 24/7 there are trees and all kinds of plants near our pool and it is a nightmare and daily cleaning sometimes twice a day or it’s out of control. Unfortunately I couldn’t test this on our messy pool so I brought this guy down to Florida which should have been a cake walk for this thing. I have never owned a robot cleaner so I was very excited for this thing to cut my work down. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Our Florida pool has minimal or at most marginal derby and dirt and this thing was more of a pain to use than it was a help. It constantly would get clogged with virtually nothing or just plain stop working entirely for no apparent reason. I’m not sure if I got a lemon with this thing or maybe this brand is no good . But I wouldn’t be able in good conscience to recommend this particular unit to anyone at all. I can’t imagine what this thing would have done in my pool on New Jersey but it wouldn’t have made it 30 seconds in that.
