I just got into this show recently, even though I had seen a few episodes at my Dad's house when I was a kid. I saw the show on Netflix, and liked it right away. Right when I finished this season on Netflix, I knew I wanted to start collecting it. Here I am now :) Can't wait to own Season 2

I've never seen a show like this before. It was smart, funny, suspenseful, action, just all around a perfect blend of everything. The X-Files was the best show on TV until Breaking bad and Fargo

Like all shows they can trail off over time. Starting at the beginning of the X-Files is seeing it at its best. The story-lines and mythology was just being fleshed out and was at it's best before things got too complicated as they did later. One of the best shows out there....like the truth?

Season one does not disappoint at all on Blu-ray. If you are a fan of this series then you should be happy. The first four seasons are finally being displayed in widescreen and season one looks fantastic on my Sony Big Screen. And the audio is also wonderful. Got this for a great price at Best Buy.

Wow, I have been an X-Files fan since Day 1!.... THIS!! This is how it should have been shown, the picture quality is superb!.. the sound, on point!... it really looks like this series was shot today!!

I love season one of the X-files when Muler and Dana are still more or less strangers to each other. Season one especially reminds me how people dress and talk in the 90s. Things are quite different now. I use to watch the show a lot back then and I re-enjoy again very much as well.

I only gave this 4 stars, but it is not for content. Since the original was shot in the 4x3 format, except for some of the later season, I didn't feel that I could give a full 5 stars since it was formatted for 16x9, thus chopping off some of the top and bottom of the image. This was done with Chris Carter OK, but not with his supervision. That being said, this still looks and sounds good and the stories are just as good as they were before. It's fun revisiting these episodes so many years later. Definitely recommend these new Blu-ray Discs.

The X-Files is a truly amazing show that allows viewers the imagination of "secret" government entities that cover up a variety of information and proof of extraterrestrial existence. This show gives a plausible and perhaps irrefutable evidence of such...if you believe. ..

This show was amazing on TV and lead the way to the shows we have now like Supernatural. I thought that being on Blu-ray the quality might degrade but it didn't. It was clear and crisp and I have enjoyed every second of the episodes and reliving the memories.

The Blu-ray conversion is amazing. I'd already watched these on Netflix but owning them.and rewatching them is what the X-Files was made for. Because of how long ago these were originally made, you can see their makeup and pores.

So happy to finally get the X-files series on Blu-ray! This is a must have for anybody that loved the series and released just in time to re-watch the old episodes before the new series starts.

Not much has to be said about the X-Files. The show has had a cult following since the 90's and still has people interested today. This is the 1st release of the show on Blu-Ray and has upgraded the visual quality of the show by a great amount.

The X-Files was one of the best TV series ever. It introduced us to many nut job theories about UFOs and cryptozoology that have since become part of popular culture. The first season introduces us to this fun craziness. I love it!

Hey, it's the X-files. L:You know the story so the only question is "how's the disc quality". This is a very good transfer, image and sound are excellent. So I am satisfied and would recommend this to any fan.

Growing up, this was the one show I couldn't put down. Watching it in Blu-ray for the first time is like seeing it all over again. Nicely done with the transfer, considering this season wasn't shot in widescreen.

I picked this up on sale in order to assess the Blu-Ray transfer quality. Fans expecting an HD remaster along the lines of the recent Star Trek TNG remasters may be somewhat disappointed, as this was a bit cleaner than the standard DVD release. But, season 1 of the X-Files is one of the most enjoyable, well-rounded seasons in the shows' history, and this set is a great entry point to those who missed out on the DVD release.

I actually have the complete series on dvd when they did a complete box set. I am thrilled that they finally came out on blu-ray. This show is one of my favorites if not my favorite show of all time.

X files comes to blu ray for the first time and it is amazing. The picture and audio is great and there are tons of special features. The first season has some of the best episodes and ate fun to watch.

Queue music and go, Mulder and Skully are at it again. If you like the thought of government conspiracies, alien abductions and things that go bump in the day then you wont be disappointed.
