Still one of the best X-Men movies. Interesting on how this cut is different than the original version. Surprised there was more. Thank you.

I enjoyed this film a lot. It has the vibe of the first 2 films, thanks to the director Bryan Singer, but definitely elevated the stakes.

This was one of my favorite marvel movies of 2014 wasn't to comedy just the right set of tone. Days Of Future Past doesn't just mire itself in the toss and tumble of its characters' emotional journeys. Singer throws in a few crackerjack action sequences, opening the film with a heart-stopping massacre that very effectively underscores the dire threat posed by the Sentinels of the future. Crucially, Singer also finds the time and space within the darkest shadows of his story to have a little fun, judiciously tossing quips and sight gags into the mix – particularly in a tour de force prison break sequence, in which the preternaturally speedy Pietro Maximoff (Evan Peters), better known to comic aficionados as Quicksilver, literally runs away with the entire show. Make no mistake about it, this is a behemoth of a film that won't go down well with everybody. Newbies will almost certainly find themselves lost, bewildered, and perhaps even bored. Singer's tale sprawls in so many directions that, if you're not at least marginally invested in the characters, it could prove to be a trying experience. But, for everyone else, ranging from casual fans to enthusiasts and obsessives, Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg have crafted something truly remarkable. Steeped in history and lore, both of the cinematic and comic-book variety, Days Of Future Past feels like a dark love letter to the spirit of that original band of mutants and the message of hope, tolerance and humanity that has always accompanied their attempts to find their place on Earth.

Ok so the theatrical cut of days of future past was a fine film. But the rogue edition adds more weight into an already intense film. I definetly recommend purchasing. If not you should certainly view for sure.

Fantastic film outside of the box. Loved it! Was expecting film to be a very complicated movie to focus on. Turned out to be the opposite.

Days of Future Past marks the return of director Bryan Singer to the popular Marvel franchise. DoFP picks up after the end of First Class and continues the story in an effort to further redeem the series after the disastrous X-Men III. For some staunch comic fanatics the changes made from the source material may be a bit of a turn off, but for the average viewer DoFP is an intelligent adaptation of one of the favorite X-Men' story-lines and has some astounding performances by both the new and old cast characters. While the movie itself has garnered world-wide critical acclaim there are many options available when it comes to owning this time-jumping mutant masterpiece. For those skeptical about 3D in general, DoFP benefits from being produced as a 3D feature. Although the 2D version certainly stands well on its own, many of the key battles are brought to life in a masterful and dynamic fashion without resorting to cheesy 3D tricks: in other words, this movie was meant to be experienced in 3D. Perhaps the only thing missing in this package is the Rogue Cut, but as a matter of preference I would opt toward the 3D theatrical cut as the Rogue scenes do little to change the story line and effectively slows and muddles the plot line of an already complex movie. So whether you're a die-hard X-Men fan or just an action movie buff, the 3D version of DoFP offers the best cut in the best format and is an exciting step forward in the storied X-Men franchise.

In short they should have shown this version of X-men in the theaters. It doesn’t change the movie much but adds just enough goodies and bit of insight on other characters. Add this on to the collection.

The movie is worth the purchase in any format. My favorite X-men movie out of them all. The sound quality is very good as well as the picture. Colors pop a little more than the Blu-ray for sure.

Hi all! If you have seen the original but haven't had the pleasure of this version yet, I would suggest it. It is enjoyable by the aspect of seeing it through Rogue's side of the story.

The Box and artwork included are nice touches that compliment the movie and should satisfy those that crave extra content. This version of the movie comes with a nicely published collector's booklet and comes with both the 3-D and Standard Widescreen Versions of the Movie on Blu-Ray Disc in HD 1080P. I personally really like this movie for the story line, actors, acting, and special effects n CGI. I am not here writing a review of the acting or whether it is true to the X-men Marvel Comics multiverse. I am a sci-fi fan but i haven't been cross checking the comics and comparing the script to the comic book adaptation, i think doing that would take a lot of fun out of watching the movie for the first time. All my friends that have watched it on blu-ray with surround sound have walked away with a smile and mentioned that they'd actually like to watch it again to pick up on things they might have missed out on when they stepped outside for a smoke or used the bath room. I give this movie and this format full marks for its value and content, if you don't have 3D then just buy the standard blu-ray and save yourself about $5.00. If u own a 3D HDTV and a 3D capable blu-ray player like the PS3 or any of the numerous sony n samsung dedicated blu-ray multi media players i urge you to take advantage of your hardware and charge up your 3D glasses!
