I don't know how Fox did it but they managed to steer the boat right, after the shipwreck that was The Last Stand and the Titanic that was X-Men Origins. To me this film represents a curtain call in a 3 act structure. You had First Class, which followed X3 & the Wolverine prequel and clearly had a lot riding on it to pull through. Then came The Wolverine while not the stand out I was hoping it'd be was still decent and leagues above the previous Wolverine solo film and finally you have Days of Future Past. I've heard it said that this film is the best X-Men movie since X2 and I really had to agree. The fight scenes, the jailbreak, the dark future, the turbulent past, the setup, story, and execution reignited mine and many other's love for this franchise. Though nowadays there are many superhero films and the luster wears off after 7 films, this was still a lot of fun and I believe the first superhero film to handle time travel. These films still manage to stand out from the pack despite having been the franchise to kick off the modern superhero craze. After fourteen years, they're still going strong with no signs of stopping.

This entry in the X-Men franchise is a wonderful passing of the baton from the elder cast to the newer cast. Great story based on a classic storyline.

its in 4K and great resolution, was great to see all original actors and great action

The Rogue cut isn't just a few minutes of extra footage, it changes the plot of the film for certain characters. After I watched this, I was surprised that the footage had been cut, because it's not just about cutting a few minutes of extra time. It made me want to watch the theatrical version again to see what had been reshot to make the shorter version. Some extended editions of films don't add much or make the film less efficient, but this one is definitely worth seeing. The iTunes digital copy comes with both versions, so that was a nice bonus, even though I had already purchased the first cut. Some people have been whining about buying the theatrical cut, not knowing about the Rogue cut, but there'e no excuse for not knowing—the Rogue cut had been discussed extensively online before the film hit theaters, and long before the first BluRay came out. I bought the first BluRay on impulse knowing full well that I would end up buying the extended edition later. This isn't any different than the Lord of the Rings extended editions; fans know they have to wait longer for the extended cuts.

Really like the artwork and script of this movie. This and First Class are my favorite.

(Minor spoiler alert) This was a terrific movie by any standard and one of the best superhero films made. I loved X-Men 2 but this was even better than that. The movie is well made with great characters, good acting, good story telling and really puts the comics on the screen. It's not a direct adaptation of this series, but fits right in with all the other movies bringing a close to the old series (somewhat conveniently) and opening the door to continuing the franchise; (spoiler) it also helped put aside the horrible Last Stand (thank God for time travel in comics). The Quicksilver scenes were the best and will challenge The Avengers' version of the character; the first time in my opinion that those Marvel Disney films have been challenged by the Fox and Sony Marvel films. Not a young kid superhero movie, but defiantly something for a more adult and sophisticated crowd. The 3D in the theaters was awesome during the stadium scene and I can’t wait to see that at home. Definitely a must for X-Men fans, comic movie fans and anyone who likes to be entertained by movies so not for the Academy voters.

This is similar to other Gladiator type characters and freaks of science either purposely created or accidents but with about 5 times the action ! Its all a lesson about strength of the many and the tempering of control of where to draw the line . And as i said before in many other reviews . You better grab all the 3D stuff now as it might all fade away again one more time ? How they make you feel like you are right there in the movie is just incredible . All my friends are using my back up tv sets as i haven't the room for them all . They are all taking turns watching these 3D movies i collect , this disk was no different in its ability's to the others i bought from Best Buy , Just great science Fiction Period ! You think you could reach out and touch things !

This is by far the best X-Men movie. The story was very interesting and entertaining.

Came on time and as described. The theatrical version of movie was great but I enjoyed the rogue version a lot more. I thought the rogue version of movie felt a lot more whole and a lot more fulfilling, especially in the middle of the movie. Both versions are great but if your a fan of rogue, you should check out the rogue version. There's a couple other things you'll see in the rogue version that you didn't in the original version of the movie but I won't ruin it for anyone that wants to see it. All I'm saying is, I was impressed. On a side note, I also see why they chose to cut these scenes from the theatrical version of the movie, they are not really needed and I guess, at times, it does screw up the pacing of the movie just a little. That being said though, I rather see this movie with these scenes in there than seeing the movie without these scenes. But I'm a fan of rogue, so that's my main reason for really liking the rogue edition. I felt rogue's character really came full circle in this movie and I think everyone that likes rogue, should see that.

The second best movie in the prequel series. It has excellent thought provocation.

This cut of the film release was a pleasure too experience to enjoying the film again

Future Past didn't receive a Dolby Atmos track (which is odd considering it had one in theatres), but it does get an upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1.

Added a little extra to an already great movie, video and audio quality is great

This is a great looking steelbook for a steelbook collection, at a great price.

This is the Best Buy Exclusive version which includes the Days of Future Past ultimate edition along with a set of character cards and pretty cool looming packaging but it is large and isn't a steel book but at zero additional cost, I'd go for it again. The movie it's self is excellent and one of the better Marvel entries and one of the better super hero movies in general. This is not the usual big summer picture but is really more of a character driven science fiction flick with the cool big screen stuff as one would expect slightly in the background. What a great year for Marvel! I think the argument could be made that between this, The Dark World, The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy Stan Lee's love child has become the premier Hollywood property. The 3rd is also very good. There will not be a fest of pop outs but the depth and clarity is very immersive. My only regret is that I ended up seeing the 2D at the theater and would have been even more enthralled with this film than I was, this is the way the movie should be seen if at all possible.

Its one of the best superhero films to date and its worth the upgrade in 4K.
