Customers are saying

Customers love the overall game experience but some find the game's length to be a drawback. Several comments express concern that the gameplay is similar to other games in the series and that the game may be completed too quickly. Some players suggest that the game's replayability might be limited. Therefore, while enjoyable, the game's brevity is a point of contention for some customers.

Unless you are in the mood to try to unlock all the achievements this game is very quick to complete....even for an eight year old. My son beat it in four days..not money well spent for me

Graphics need improvement and story could be longer. Also its not a 2-4 player game when it should be.

I enjoyed the game, being an X-men fan. I loved the throwbacks and references and was impressed that we finally got a proper VA for Gambit. However, the game is short. First play through, taking your time to find hidden areas or X-genes can take you about 8hrs or less, subsequent playthroughs about 3-4hrs. The choices you make only effect challenge areas you have access to based upon your allegiance leaning towards that of the NPC you are talking to. In the end you're given a blunt choice that doesn't bother taking into account all previous choices. Heck you could loadup the mission before last after you beat it to choose the other side and get the 2nd ending. The X-genes are fun to toy with, but you won't even really care about 80% of them. And most of them are carbon copies of the others (effect wise, with varying graphics). Iceman-D is ice-skin, Colossus-D is steel skin, and Emma Frost-D is diamond skin. You'll pick the one that has multiple applications. X-mode isn't worth putting all the pieces together aside from quickly getting the achievements. The best setup for me was: Suit-Any Offense-Wolverine Defense-Emma Frost Utility-Northstar The others were really pointless. I would have liked to have seen different effects instead of carbon copies. The initial choice for your personal mutation is probably your biggest choice. I went with Dark Matter, which seemed to fit me perfectly. However, I didn't bother using half the abilities granted to me...cause they had no real place, or my normal attacks did more damage. Upon new play through, you can pick the 'other' ability (during points in the game you can pick one of two abilities) which replaces the button activation of your old abilities. Achievement hunters need roughly 3 playthroughs plus 1 mission select to get everything (aside from 'Die 100x' which is worth 0 points anyways). There are no achievements for getting all the suits, X-genes, or propaganda. Note: Fully Evolved is bugged and will be reached as long as your first skill and last skill are max'd. In a nutshell: The plot itself was good, but the game was short. The gameplay was pretty repetitive with no real thought needed to take out minions and bosses. The graphics weren't great, but definitely not bad. The audio kept crackling in the background through a lot of the game, it made me keep turning around thinking the noise was being caused on my end by another device. Verdict: Rent or bargain bin purchase. This is a fun game, just not worth $60.

This really should have turned into a MMO but of course for some reason Marvel has decided not to create one. Very good story and this is coming from a guy that has read comics since 1982. The only downside to this game is that it plays just like the others in the Ultimate Alliance line.
