My experience with x box has been a long and dreadful one. seriously. i have had this product for about two years now and just today it decided to go kaput, die, or shall we say pass on into video game H-E- double hockey sticks. I feel as if my x-box has become a freak Frankenstein that i have been trying desperately to keep alive. and this is my story. My first experience with X-Box 360's many problems was within the first month of purchasing it. I got the dreaded RRoD or the red ring of death. these flashing lights doomed my X-Box to be shipped to Texas and back but this took about six weeks and for the average gamer... this is and will not ever be acceptable. Shortly after receiving my "refurbished as good as new" X-box i began to notice loading problems, disk errors and scratches on my disks. This however did not deter me. For I am determined to get this $270 machine to work. I fixed most of the basic problems with simple fixes like delete all the demo's music ect. As the years passed, and i mean two years, i fell out of warranty but as soon as this happened my X-box decided to stop working. Being the handy man i am i decided to do an at home repair. I purchased the part that i needed and i revived it from the depths of the fiery pit but not for long. my at home fix has held up for about a month to no avail it has surrendered. The games started freezing which i later found out that this is caused by the fans not working properly the power cord isn't cool enough and the hard drive is over heating. So i began researching.... but i only found one fix... buy a new x-box... I however being a x-box 360 fan, will not be doing this. I have come to change sides. This afternoon I will be going out with money in my back pocket and purchase a new gaming system however it will not be a X-box but the enemy of my enemy a PS3

We bought this for our son for Christmas. When he tried to play, the controller wouldn't turn on, so we borrowed one from a neighbor. Once he started playing the machine kept freezing and got red circles. Needless to say, we were all disappointed. We returned it to the store right after Christmas. I can't believe that this machine was even tested before it left Best Buy.

Unfortunately, this product was a total bust. My son got only about 10 hours of gameplay out of this refurbished product before we got the dreaded Red Ring of Death. The device is now useless.

This refurbished console stopped working after two days and three flashing lights appeared on the Ring of Light. Apparently this indicates a hardware problem. We called the company who provided detailed instructions on how to return the unit. What they failed to provide was a return postage label. After mailing (for $20), we found out that they would have paid for it. I guess partially our fault for not asking and theirs for not offering. Estimated time for repair and return is approximately three weeks.

i bought the refurbished elite and it worked for five minutes after i opened it then red ring of death .save your self the hassel and buy a new one.I bought it back to the store and told i them want my best buy card refunded i did not want it fixed . i know it used but comon dont they inspect these things it supposed to be refurbished,,, the controller was all dirty and worn out. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this was very disappointing due to the fact that this was one of 2 christmas presents for my grandson. after it was all set up and warmed up it would not read any of the games. we ended up taking it back to best buy on the 26th of dec which was not a problem but we ended up paying alot more money for the same features in a new one. If we had tried it before christmas we probably could have gotten it fixed. But we could not disappoint my grandson any further making him wait for it to get fixed.

My son loved it when it worked. Three days after he got it it will not work. He had the red rings. Now it has to be sent back to be fixed. Not a great gift afterall.

Very simply put this system got the 3 red rings of death after 2 days of use. Now i have to ship it microsoft(microsoft covers shipping cost) and wait from 1 to 24 weeks to get it back,hopefully fixed. Buying the refurbished models are a crapshoot so anything can happen.

Christmas gift for son-in-law. Saved a lot over new price, but when he received it, it worked (frequently giving pixellated images) for about 3.5 weeks and then gave him a system error. Item returned.

Worked great for 5 days and then nothing. It has been sent in for repairs. I do not recommend buying a refurbed 360 to anyone.

it is a great value we love gaming i would recommen it ti anyone it has a great bundle for the buck

This Xbox is great for the price but after only 2 weeks of use, it got the red ring. Now I have to send it into Microsoft in hopes they can fix it and hopefully they won't charge me. I wish I would have not tried to save some money and instead got the $300 Xbox Elite.

This is the worst product ever. I bought it for my brother in the military. it took him over a month to get it, and the first time he played it, it broke. Dont waste your money on this refurbished trash..

The XBOX refurb was just like new. I will never buy brand new again. Delivery was prompt, safe and secure.

Anyone that says this is not a good console obviously doesn't know what they are talking about. I have the PS3 and it doesn't even compare to the XBOX 360. Everything is great!!! Only thing is make sure it is in a nice cool open area. If anything happens to your XBOX 360, the XBOX company will work with you so well it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Best console on the market bar none. If only xbox live were free.
