Purchased this Xbox One Series S after owning an Xbox One S and noticed smoother gameplay, better frame rates, and enhanced graphics. With no disc drive it's all digital, and has an upgradable storage slot which isn't a con seeing as how it has a smaller compact build and loads games incredibly fast. Not to mention the excellent price tag.

If you have a Xbox One S or arguably even a One X, this loads faster, better frame rate, and very compact. As you can see in the pics, the unit is very easy to put in a bag and take it places.

Is the Xbox Series S for you?

The Xbox Series S would be great for someone who doesn’t download a lot of games to there Xbox. It’s also great for people who use the Xbox Cloud Gaming (Included in Xbox ultimate to use) If your a person who downloads quite a lot of games like me; the Xbox Series S isn’t really a great choice you only get to use 364 Gb out of the 512 Gb that Xbox states; plus the fact that many games are now at least 100 gb you might only fit 3-4 games depending on the games you download. Investing in the 1Tb expansion slot is such a scandal if you put both the Series S with the 1tb it comes out more than the Series X’s storage (with 802 Gb available ) . If you have the money I’d recommend investing in the Series X, not only you get more space you get the better graphics, fps speed, and the disk drive for people who like to buy cd’s

Very impressed with his little white box. *Three hundred bucks enables me to play all the games top-tier PCS can run, and in some cases better than the actual PCS. *the best Backwards compatibility ( I have played SNES & Sega on my Series s), let's see what the other console makers do. * The best user interface ( simple easy to navigate and it's not bad looking either). * The best bang for your bucks ( cheap and Powerful). * Small and unobtrusive (sexy even) * NO MORE BROKEN CD/BLUE PLAYERS !!!! ( I will never have to return this Xbox to be fixed unless I drop it in the bathtub). * Quiet as hell ( seriously guys, is it even on?). *RAY TRACING (!) * and for $200 more I now have more memory then both series X and PS4 ( total price $500 bucks). *** ALL HAIL THE SERIES S ( or you just don't like playing video games as much as you thought you did it).

It's a great console for casual gaming, the performance and visual fidelity won't disappoint if you are targeting 60fps/1440p. You could also get 120fps/1440p in competitive titles such as Call of Duty but there would be a noticeable loss of visual quality due to the usage of upscaling techniques. The only downside that I can point to is the lack of storage, not only drive is 512GB but you get around 390-410GBs usable space due to system files.

Very underrated console that does everything you need it to for such a little price! Impossible to get anything these days so I decided to give the Series S a try and couldnt be happier! Switched from a ps4 slim and couldn’t be happier! No more noisy ps4 fans and laggy gameplay with terrible graphics that take 10 seconds to load in textures in games. It really surprised me how such a tiny console can be so quiet and run smoothly. It is dead silent all the time, even when I downloaded 1/3 of xbox game pass while playing Forza Horizon 5 for hours it made zero noise! Highly recommend it!

This game console is one of the best that I have purchased. I previously purchased the 1T version in black.from Microsoft and experienced complications with the console. My son is very satisfied with this version of XBOX consoles and hope to purchase my daughter rhe smae version very soon. It was a great value and awesome console.

I have both this and PS5, but find myself using this console more, tried coming back to PlayStation but I think I’m more of a fan of Xbox not only the value of this console, but the power and speed, might not be as powerful as the PS5 and Series X but great for the portability as well since I barely have time playing games as much due to work and having a baby that’s 1 and half, taking this from room to room is very nice, highly recommend this console only downside is storage and no disc drive but other than that I love this console.

Xbox player/supporter overall love the next gen console graphics amazing of course could be more advanced or artistic when it comes to the display and things game developers could be more artistic too! games are cool and very competitive while being fun at the same time. Only stuff is some minor things like the storage/space is not enough being that most major games require a lump some of the storage some people could only have 2 games depending on the games they had the ratio or whatever is just off, and the lagging out of the games not connection issue I’m talking you just click one thing and boom you back on the Home Screen maybe that’s bugs from the video game developers itself but idk like I said overall I Love it. I truthfully can’t wait to see and play the new or next version of the next gen consoles know it’s going to be crazy.

Great upgrade for the kids. Fast console with great performance. Small footprint makes it easy to find a home for its placement. Wish it had more storage as next gen games are huge!!

I am fairly impressed with the console even though I wish it had more storage it plays everything at a decent resolution and it's very fast. I added a 2tb seagate hdd to store all the non optimized games and got a rechargeable battery pack for the controller. With game pass I'm set for years of gaming. I also got the ps5, but I enjoy both

I bought the Xbox last year, it runs perfectly. I use it on a 4K TV and the graphics and performance is great. The only thing I would suggest is if you’re looking for more storage lean towards the Xbox Series X.

I bought the Xbox series s to have it as a travel console because I didn’t wanted to take the series x everywhere since it’s a bigger console and I can’t be more satisfied with it , it is small enough to have it as a portable console , and the performance is outstanding , highly recommend

This wasn't my first choice but the series x wasnt available at the time when i was trying to buy it. Regardless of that this has served my needs well. Faster loading times, upgraded graphics, small enough to carry to a relatives house with ease. This was an amazing buy

    Holiday Edition Xbox Series S

I've had the Holiday Edition Series S for a little more than a year now. I have had absolutely no issues with the console from Feb 2023 to today. I will admit that the storage capacity and how much the Xbox will hold is finicky. I can only have at max six games downloaded at once, where as friends of mine with the same Xbox can have more. I'm gonna assume its based on how big or small the download size is though. The controller was fine until the sticks began to drift and make my characters walk forward on their own or look indefinitely up or down. I still have the console and I love it.

Good System for a Part-Time Gamer

I originally bought this system when the Series X version was hard to come by. While I did enjoy using this system for the first year I had it, I didn't realize just how much I, personally, miss when a gaming system is without a disc drive. Since this is from my personal experience, I must admit that I would use my old Xbox as a DVD / Blu-Ray player -- however, with this system, that obviously couldn't be done. I will say this though: I loaned the system to my brother who doesn't have as much time to play as I would, and used it to a better advantage than I could. Overall, I would recommend this system to a gamer that doesn't have that much time since it has pretty quick load times and is a super light model to move around on the go.
