Next-generation at a slow and steady pace
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lot of value for the next-generation. You get all the legacy titles you already own if you have any previous Xbox console. Some games even come with a boost from the original source material. Fight Night Champions instantly comes to mind. 4k, HDR..you really have to see it on the Series X. Older titles may see boost like Battlefield V where you can play the game in 4k ,120fps. Dying Light plays at a buttery smooth 60 fps with HDR now upscaled at 4K, i popped in the same game on the PS5 today and its still 30 fps.. Its a beast for the older generation.. As far as next-generation gaming... Its coming...fortunately as of this review, its much sooner than the actual console purchased date...lol. The wait been has been painful...but the future is extremely bright... Havent even talked about game pass.. Easiest way to explain, its netflix but for gaming. Microsoft hosts all their first-party titles in the subscription but you also get EA Play (Madden, need for speed, star wars) as part of the subscription and you also receive day one titles from 3rd party companies...so Dungeons and Dragons:Dark Alliance that just came out a week ago...currently in game pass.. So its a trade-off. Im new to xbox and the whole ecosystem, but i do own both next-generation consoles.. its clear sony has more exclusives right now, but xbox is coming along nicely and Starfield...should probably youtube Starfield...ok bye.

Big upgrade from One for 4K couch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice upgrade from my original One. It’s nowhere near my 5900x/3080 of course but who wants to drag a giant Corsair case around. Mine’s tucked behind my 4k tv. Also nice to have blu ray again (looking at you series S). Worth the 1.5 day delay :P

Definitely worth the wait
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox series X is amazing compare to the Xbox one X I had previously. The graphics are very vivid and pop out on my 50 inch 4k tv. The load speeds are next to nothing I could play Cyberpunk with ease now and not have to worry about it crashing or over heating on me. With a good internet connection you can have your whole terabyte used up with game pass in a few hours. That’s how fast it loads and downloads. I prefer to have digital versions of my games makes it easier for me but this also has an option for disks and blue rays. The controller is good I stick by my elite controller. I don’t regret upgrading this Black Friday it was a great deal and a noticeable upgrade.

Best Family Console!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally bought this for myself and quickly had to hand it over to the fam because the value in gamepass. I have two kids who are avid gamers so we have most consoles and out of all of them they always choose the Xbox. The sheer number of games that are available right out of the box are insanely valuable as we did not have to stretch our budget to buy additional games. Rather, we bought and additional controller so both our children could enjoy the console. If you’re on a budget I’d recommend the Series S as it’s significantly cheaper and still holds the same value.

Love love love
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been wanting one of these for a while, it’s perfect. The speed of which it loads up after powering on is insane, the speed of loading apps and games is insane, I completely forgot about the quick resume feature so that was a nice “surprise”, and the new display options are great. I also love how heavy the console is bc it can’t get yanked off my desk like my old Xbox one did (my dog ran through the controller cable). 10/10, everything I needed

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.awesome!! i had to buy a new xbox because no where could fix my xbox one x, and so far everything has been awesome with this xbox! except really the price. i basically had to use half my savings to get it if i win this gift card it’ll most likely go towards things i need for it because it didn’t come with much like my last one. only one controller instead of 2 . i probably won’t win but i hope who does needs it.

Surprisingly worth the upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical, but happy we purchased the X. Playing side by side with hubby and really wanting to get a second to replace his old Xbox One. Refresh rates much better, no more lag in open world games, able to play games that didn't do well over cloud gaming, less crashing in buggy games, and more. Not to mention non-game apps like video streaming seems to be better through the Xbox X than the smart tv. Suits our purposes well anyway.

Incredible Console!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I've put in abt 50 hours of game time on my Xbox Series X since I picked it up on Xmas Eve and it's as good as advertised. It's so quiet one cannot hear it, even under heavy game loads unless one puts their ear right next to it. It blows out moderately warn air which is no warmer than my One X console I've had for 3 years. The load times vary, but even the longest load time I'd have on my One X, it's 4x faster now on the Series X. Even some games open in about 5 seconds compared to 30 on my One X. I now can put way more environment/landscape mods on Skyrim than I could in the One X without it crashing. And it still loads in about 10 seconds, where it'd take well more than a minute on my One X with far fewer mods. Even moving between scenes with the mods, it takes no more than 10 seconds. It takes no time if I've already been to a certain area The game pad is just slightly smaller with an improved D-pad. My thumb glides over it much easier. The rest is the same except with an extra button between the the menu buttons below the big Xbox console control button. It's specifically for instant in-game image captures. I highly recommend this if you want to play your current Xbox games now even faster and some improved. Otherwise, I'd wait until summer, or even next Xmas season when many Series X console specific games will be out by then.

For Undecided Gamers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it, most people are deciding to get one or not right here's my thoughts, if you're a fan of Microsoft and all they do: gamepass, Bethesda games, and the sheer power, this is the console for you if you're a Sony fan not... If you're looking for for a true next gen experience I'd wait there are very few games that take advantage of the graphics 2023 is the year of new experiences so it's all depending on you now if you're looking for both heres my opinion some games look better on this hardware but if you have a PS5 you won't be able to tell the difference, unless you're a graphics nut and have a TV that takes advantage of it,so ultimately it's down to exclusives Starfield or Spider-Man 2, Fable or God of War...

Solid Console
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially, I only got this to play some games with friends. However, the more and more i used the console (gaming, streaming, etc.), the more i’ve wanted to use it. Solid console, much better than my One S, and has gotten me back into gaming, especially with DB Sparking Zero. My only complaint is that it needs a specific storage card for certain games

It's a MONSTER!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a monster I hope everyone reading these/this gets one soon I couldn't imagine not having mine. If your strictly a console gamer welcome to a playing games the way they've been meant to be played. The backwards compatibility features will keep you plenty entertained till games actually start dropping. The tech definitely trump's the PS5 (I have both not rubbing it in just letting it be known I say this from experience) backwards compatible games that aren't optimized still get a little something sometimes a lot on XBSX. Now on to the good stuff optimized games put you close to PC gaming Destiny 2 for instance at 60FPS increased FOV and 120FPS in crucible you will notice immediately and be mad your just now experiencing the game that way and instantly understanding why PC gamers have been obnoxiously trolling you in threads. The thing is whisper quite and I've yet to get the thing even remotely hot which isn't a feature but let's me know it isn't even bring remotely pushed even on a optimized game so the future is looking bright there. Also console only players welcome to the SSD no more waiting forever for games to load which gives you more to play the game instead of lose your patience I'm talking to you Elder Scrolls online.

Glad we got it!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been such a good purchase. My partners previous system was experiencing some issues with the hardware and rather than try to fix it we decided just to upgrade. This thing is lightening fast, it loads large games with ease, even the graphics are crisper. Well worth it to just get yourself a new system.

Glad I Got It and Seems Like Bright Future Ahead
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was finally able to get one from BestBuy and I went and picked it up at my local store. I was upgrading from a Xbox One X to this and I am extremely pleased. So far I have played 3 different games that seem to be in 4k60fps and they look great! I have my Series X on its side based on my space available and I have not really heard fans getting loud during gaming. Disclaimer: I DID have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and was able to test around from a few options of games so I might recommend you try at least 1month of their game pass. I am excited for the Upcoming games that will take advantage of AMD's FidelityFx graphical options too. I have also been using this Series X as a Home Entertainment Centerpiece for watching Apps like Youtube, Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max, and Crunchyroll in the Living Room area. I find it does HDR in 4k just fine and MSFT will soon be adding audio passthrough so Atmos can be sent to AV receivers/soundbars instead of Series X decoding the audio itself. Since my TV is only capable of 4k60 I cannot comment on higher frame rates above 60 though I know this can actually handle up to 120hz. Overall I'm happy with buying it. Just was a pain to get to buy one.
