Love this lens. Super lightweight, sharp, produces wonderful images for the price! Recently took a trip to the PNW and it was one of my most used lens' for landscape pics.

Small, light, short and fast lens when using AF. Wide angle great for street and landscape photography.

It's not my favorite Fuji lens. That would be the 35mm 1.4 or the 16 mm 1.4. They are more expensive, but the image quality seems to have more "character." It's a bit soft when shot close up at F2. It is, however, a good lens with the fastest autofocusing I've seen in the Fuji lineup. It's also weather sealed, unlike the 35mm, and has a very unobtrusive look. The size and autofocusing speed make it a great street and travel lens.

I am a professional photographer. I use two different camera systems, Nikon DSLRs and Fujifilm mirrorless cameras, they both are excellent systems on their own. When it comes to a 23MM(35mm equivalent in full frame terms) I need a fast reliable autofocus lens because in my case the 35MM lens is the one lens that helps me to narrate stories with a wider angle of view without introducing much distortion. I own the Nikkor 35mm f1.8 so after I read and watch many reviews talking how great the 23mm f2 from Fuji was I decided I would give it a try and maybe replace my Nikon lens in order to make my camera kit lighter and more travel friendly. For me the lens was a big disappointment. Focusing in dimmed light conditions was painful. The image quality was pretty good, but I cannot risk to miss important shots. So the lens is not bad at all is just not meant for high pace work AKA events, action or weddings unless there is plenty of light and by plenty I mean almost daylight conditions. Skip this one, buy the 16mm f1.4 you will go wider but for sure you will get the shot. PS I own the 56mm f1.2, 35mm f1.4 and the 16mm f1.4 the first two are much older than this one and still focused faster.

Compact lens to complement my Fuji camera. Small size and yet really clear images makes it a great street photography tool.

Its fuji, what else can I saw? I like that its not as cropped as the 18- 55mm and packs a punch photo quality wise

This is an amazing lens and value. Well built, great qulity for much less than the competitors. Been a Canon guy for along time, however the new RF mount, etc. has priced me out of their line up. Hence, the transition to Fujifilm.

Really good lens, bought it for street photography, the only downside is it can’t zoom in, but the result for the picture are really nice

Small, very well built (heavy sturdy metal), and high quality shots. This will be my main go to lense

What can I say? I've been very pleased with all of my Fujifilm lenses and this one is no exception. I bought it for a commercial video I was working on, and it performed very well. It's sharp, has a great close focusing distance and makes beautiful bokeh. I went with this over the 1.4 for the faster focus and weather seal, though I'm sure I'll end up with a 1.4 eventually too. Fuji makes great gear.

Quite an outstanding lens. Very comfortable, compact, and fast aperture. Image quality is very good and if you stop it down it get better for sure. This is the lens I needed to keep weight and size manageable.

Love this little lens. So upset it fell into water but had geek squad protection and was able to put the store credit to another lens.

If you're looking at the 35mm f2, consider this llens instead. It gives you more room (wider angle) and is a tack sharper. With that said, this series of lens isn't the sharpest by Fuji, then again it's also not nearing a thousand dollars!

This lens replicates the 3D look that the X100 cameras give, that special 23mm (35mm true perspective) and F2 combo makes your subject POP off the page! SHARP SHARP SHARP and fast lens. Small and beautiful, seriously one of the first lenses any Fuji shooter should buy!
