It does what it needs to do. I would buy it again rather than rent from Comcast

The modem doesn't work consistently. We keep getting dropped when on our computers or tablets. It keeps losing the connection. We've made several calls to Xfinity, and they can't solve the problem. We are very disappointed in this product. We shouldn't have to reset the modem every week or less.

Had some problems with my comcast service and when I Called Comcast they told me my modem was old technology. This is the modem I bought 3 weeks ago. Why is Best buy stocking antiquated technology? I'm going to try to return it .

This product doesn't support Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz). I would love to see this product support both bands. It is kind of useless if you can't go beyond 50 Mbps even though your service provider can deliver much faster speeds. The only reason I had to go with this is because this has a telephone jack.

Only buy this option after you have established that the modem will work in your home. I purchased this item (twice) and found out it can not handle the speed that I have purchased from Comcast. Comcast leased me a modem that they do not sell in stores that. Surprise! Works!

I was told by the Best Buy salesperson that I needed to purchase this modem router combo due to it having the phone capabilities that I needed for my cable provider. He warned me that I would need to purchase a separate router and boy was he correct! This combo is so slow!

It was a little chooser than the others and for good reason. Even the two salesmen that helped me never told me it didn't have a USB port even after I told them what I needed it for. I returned the item and purchased a more expensive one

I bought this one in order to save on Comcast's monthly rental fee. The person at Best Buy said this is the only modem they carry that is compatible with "xfinity Trimble play" (tv, wifi, and phone). When it was activated, woofing speed was only 3-5 mbyts/sec as opposed to 80+. Phone support didn't help. Finally a tech came to the house, but he could not get the modem up to an acceptable speed. It turns out, he told me that this modem is not compatible with Comcast's more advanced x-1 system. He reconnected the old modem, and I'm getting wifi speeds of 90+ Mbps. So, if you have X1 , be careful. Check with Comcast first

Didn't have many routers to choose from as needed the telephony part. Bought it to use for Xfinity Comcast. Very slow speed. Returned it and rented it from Comcast instead.

Got it because of need for telephone connection but its use seems to slow down internet and wireless had to be supplemented with a router. It does work okay with the added router. Telephone connection works well.

Substandard router. Router costs $200 and doesn't even broadcast in AC. I am limited to this router due to the fact I need to connect the landline phone to this.
