I'm a full time professional video editor... Bought this for a new Ryzen based system I was building. I initially installed it in my previous workstation to see what it could do for the older FX-6300 machine I had been working on. Initially, Windows 10 identified the card, and installed drivers. Nothing but problems, until I installed the factory software and drivers. After that, random crashes in both Adobe Premiere and After Effects. That said, when it was working, the Open CL of this card boosted performance far past what I expected in both responsiveness and renders, vs the NVidia card I had previously been using. After building the Ryzen system, I still had a few random crashes in After Effects, but this was due to an incompatibility with an older plug-in I was using. Can't fault it there. Overall performance is much better than expected; it and the Ryzen processor had some impressive results in Cinebench, and renders in Lightwave 3D are at least 300% faster with the graphics card/processor combo. For the price, I reckon this to be a great entry level card for gamers. It certainly has boosted my productivity in editing HD, and now even 4K is a breeze.

I have not play any games on this card. As a matter of fact I build this rig for one of the girls in my office. Works great out of the box pair up with a Ryzen 5 1500 first generation CPU and a 16 Memory sticks DDR 4.I have decided to use this card because the lack of video on the CPU itself. Looks good,is not a power hungry monster,. It looks cheap but its working fine.

Coming off of a high end build and going to a build where I needed much less power, this is my first experience with a Radeon GPU. It can play modern games on a medium setting at a full 1080p. For the price, it's pretty good. The only reason why the product gets a 4 star instead of 5, is its own competition: the Radeon RX 560. Best buy tends to sell that card for about $10-$20 more, but the performance increase the card gives, if you can afford it- go with that over this. If you cant, this card is still good for the price. Thermal: Great! I had no overheating or loudness issues. Performance: Good. Don't expect the highest settings in demanding games, but it should play e-sport games beautifully. Price: Good. It would be better if it wasn't competing against its stronger sibbling, the RX560.

I decided to build a new HTPC for my new LG B7 65" TV and wanted to see how well this card performs, I also bought the new Internal Pioneer BDR-211UBK 4K Blu-ray for the build & Corel WinDVD Pro12 software and after setting up everything, Wow! Amazing picture! Just remember the motherboard needs to have HDMI 2.0 out to TV, *Certified HDMI 2.0 cable, this is needed for HDR play back content! If you don't use a good APU then this is where this card comes in, it has all the features needed, it's low power, quite & cool running 4Gb supports Ultra 4K in HDR! Oh.. and yes it can play most games at medium settings max, a Radeon RX-570 or Geforce GTX 1060 or higher for you gamers!...ok back to the movie!

I have not tested the graphics card n a AAA game as of yet, but I think it will do fairly well. I do not play games but watching movies looks great with no screen tear or issues with playback.

I have been using this card for a few months now for mostly Esports games but it works well for most games on medium to high settings depending on your setup. Also very small form factor so excellent for small cases. Needs no power from power supply either, draws power straight from PCI slot.

All in all I have to say this card purchase was made as a stop gap, I originally intended on using it as an interim card until I found a good deal on an rx 580 however after having the card for a couple of weeks it runs all of my games on high settings or better, it's quite and not power hungry so don't underestimate this rx 550

Very good and capable graphics card. Fans look very nice. It is very quiet and stays cool. Good quality gaming at 1080p with settings cranked way up. It will play most of the newest games very well. Installation was simple and installing drivers was equally as simple. Highly recommend.

I built an AMD Ryzen 2200g rig for my son and used an old RX280 for dedicated graphics, and my daughter inherited my i7 920 with GTX 780 rig. Her card started to artifact and I bought this 550 as an emergency replacement card. It runs games pretty well. Plays cod wwII at medium 1920x1080 and WoW at 7. I upgraded my sons card because of this. His was handling WoW at “4” graphics settings. It was only 100 bucks at the time I purchased it. Recommended setting are now at “7” and resolution to 1920x1080. He really only plays Roblox and of course this makes it buttery smooth. This card is great as; An emergency card for when your GPU malfunctions Hold you over until you can afford something higher performance Mainstream GPU solution that you can game with on a budget

This video card worked great in my PC and does require any additional power like other video cards in its class. The price was pretty good and I can game all day with no issues.

Very solid video card for 1080p gaming. Perfect for esports and 60fps 720p obs streaming when using amd hardware encoding. Runs destiny 2 fine, and other high end games, not flawlessly, but a much better value compared to beasts like the 1080titan

After purchasing a 4k monitor with my new computer, I was disappointed to learn that I could only get 30fps with a 4k monitor using and hdmi cable. This card has displayport support, so after installation I'm now able to get 4k at 60fps. MUCH NICER! I'm not a gamer, I bought this card to improve my overall Windows experience and have been pleased. Note: it fit fine in my off the shelf asus desktop and I did not need to replace the power supply.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this graphics card performed. Even though it is above $100 it really is considered an entry-level card for gaming. I use this card with no overclock and it handled anything I could throw at it. Especially now since AMD has released new drivers and software per it's adrenaline content device really performed well.

Overall, this graphics card packs a lot of performance in a very little package. This card may not be top of the line, but it's still pretty darn snappy. Entirely compatible with Ubuntu Linux, and a great Bitcoin mining card!

I purchased this to enhance my video quality after purchasing a new Sony ultra Hd 4K 49"widescreen.. It replaces the integrated Intel 4600 video card. The quality of all videos is so enhanced that most video playbacks looks like a live broadcast!!! It was extremely easy to install and set up. What a great purchase.
