What a Difference!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from Dual ATI 6970s. Upgrading others computers you sometimes forget about your own rig. But since the release of Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront my dual cards couldn't play either of the games, so good medium budget upgrade. The single card specs surpass my old duals and load times on Battlefield 4 got cut in half. Was experiencing some lag, not anymore and FPS is double what it was, even at ultra settings. It was this or spending another $250+ on the GTX 1070 Founders but since i just do not game as much as use to I just didn't feel the need to spend that much. Very happy with my purchase.

Great Video Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The short: Buy this. Best 1080p gaming card and this will even take you in 1440p if you choose. The long: Is this the best, most powerful, most bigly card ever? No. But when you do a price to performance comparison, the RX 480 comes out ahead. With the 8GB version, there is enough VRAM to help future proof the card (will be able to play newer games that load very high quality textures into the VRAM). It is strong enough to play any game at 1920x1080 (1080p) with excellent frames per second (FPS) if not always over 60FPS. If you are looking at this, you also need to consider the GTX 1060 6GB. Do not look at the GTX 1060 3GB as it is a different chip that the 6GB model. I chose the RX 480 8GB over the GTX 1060 6GB because overall it as a better card and it was more cost effective to choose the RX 480 8GB. It was a no brainier. Better FPS in the games I play and less cash out my pocket.

Great Graphics Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this card to cut down on power use from a r9 390 and it has done well. I actually bought a second one and have been using it with crossfire for a few months and it has been great. I get great quality with GTAV, Assassin's creed syndicate, and rise of the tomb raider. Good card at a low cost.

Excellent value/performance.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 RX 480s. AMD drivers work well in Windows 10. Crossfire works great. Benchmark scores and game frame rates are great. Price was excellent. Got 2 cards for slightly higher price of the competing single GTX card I considered.

Great Card - Best Value at this Time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a beast. I replaced my 650Ti with this guy while running a i5-4400. I bought a used PC and it needed an upgrade. I bought this thing before even booting up the old one. Came home - bench-marked with Fire-strike and scored a 2800 with the 650ti Replaced the card with the RX480 8 gig and ran the benchmark. Scored a 9800 on Fire-strike. After installing I can run Forza 3 at top settings at a solid 75 FPS. It's a great card.

CrossFire is great, drivers not so much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to first start off by saying that I have always loved the AMD brand. I would have loved to given these cards a 5 star, but shortly after I got the CrossFire setup, there were driver issues. When I first setup the CrossFire, the cards were great. I mean that as in almost all new gen games running at over 160 FPS. Battlefield 1 ran seamlessly and the details were amazing. Then comes the dreaded driver updates. About 3 weeks later, the AMD drivers caused performance issues with these cards. This persisted after many updates (3 total to be exact). This completely rendered most games unplayable (especially Battlefield 1). The symptoms were lag, stutter, artifacting, and even graphical errors. Literally, tanks and guns were turning pink and green. I had to rollback the drivers and go back to the original drivers that came with the cards. I turned off automatic driver updates and consistently read driver reviews before I would update. The latest driver as of the date of this review (02/21/17) has been stable and no issues have been seen since then. AMD has never been good with their driver releases, so I should have expected this. The end verdict: cards are 5 stars, but due to driver issues? 4 stars. Would still recommend this product though.

Exactly what I expected and its great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a Radeon R9 280X to this which actually costed less I think than the former. The card is great though. Really powerful for the price and actually runs cooler than my previous card. No issues so far!

Good for Games, not so much for VR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased with VR in mind, using it for architecture and visualization, it works ok, but when we work on BIG models it began to stutter so we knew this wasnt it. For gamming it works excelent, AAA games run fast on higg and ultra settings, GTAV, FallOut4, TombRaider... etc.. For VR games (on Steam) it also works very good. Now for the real deal on VR for Visualization we went with one GTX 1070 and then a dual GPU setup on the workstation, and that thing can run every model we throw at it. So, if you're looking into gaming and a good VR solution for games it's an excellent video card for its price point! If you need more horsepower then go with one 1070. (VR was tested using HTC Vive, 64gb Ram, Dual Xeon, and a SSD) Cheers

Great card for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been wanting an RX series since AMD released them. Ended up going for this one specifically and glad I did. It isn't the most powerful card out there, the GTX 1080 has it beat, however it is the cheapest card out there with 8 gigs of VRAM and also VR ready. It blows my old R9 280X out of the water, and uses less power while doing it. I don't have a 4k monitor, so I haven't been able to test it out at anything higher than 1080p, but I'm confident that it will still perform just fine thanks to the stupidly ridiculous amount of VRAM it has. If you aren't looking to spend $600 or more on the competition's top card, spend $250-300 on this instead. It's one of the best values you can find right now as far as price vs. performance.

Great performance for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a R9 270x. Definitely worth the price. Plays Battlefield 1 on ultra settings around 60+fps. Fans are quiet compared to AMD reference cooling design. Avg temp while gaming for me is 64°C

Crushes 1080p
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My monitor is only 60 hz refresh rate at 1080p, so this card crushes pretty much anything I play on max settings. It's also very quiet and cool.

Decent card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Significantly improved performance in my machine. Works well with multiple-monitor set-up including LG wide-screen monitor. I kept having crashes with my old card and this has stopped that. Easy and straightforward to install. A little pricey.

Worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion if your building your own on in a budget this is the graphics card you want, it's a steal for the price it's at and it's close to a GTX 1070. The only thing it doesn't be have is the quiet fans but otherwise it's great

Better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been able to max out every title so far and keep it above 60fps at 1080p. If you're not running 4k, this thing is a beast.

Great Performance for a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This RX480 is a great card for the price. All the games I throw at it at ultra setting do not bring this bad boy down. the light up fans which are also swappable ( by XFX only it seems) is a cool feature if you want to change the white color lights to a different color. Overall this card is a beast of a card for all games that are out and for games coming out

Excelling in it's class
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Running games on ultra without a hitch. Fans are very quiet and are demand only activated. Great pricing vs. performance and competitive with higher priced cards.
