Bought recently at Best Buy, and having just installed it fresh out of the box; entered the product code given and I started the program. When it came up, it said to connect my device (iphone5). The message that came up read: "The connected device firmware is out of the Xilisoft Idevice Magic Platinum PC supported range temporarily, please keep tracking on product website and check for upgrade information". At this point I tried to find a way to update their software from the opening screen and there was nothing to find. The menu was devoid of any usable info for obtaining the upgrade they suggested. I finally found their website and it too was devoid of an upgrade announcement. They gave the same list of requirements as in the software, (said it worked with Iphone 4S) but they did have an email address and conact number. I called the number, left a message explaining that I had an iphone5. UPDATE: within an hour I received an email from them, very cordially written, with a solid link to the upgraded file (off their server). I clicked on the link, saw the file and downloaded it. I did save it to my PC and started the installation from there. That proved to be problematic as it had trouble stating after a long time. I decided to uninstall it completely , restart the PC and install it again. Let me say, it ran perfectly, did everything the said it would and more. I could view other menu choices while copying photos from my PC; look at large versions at the same time and click on and use any part of the interface without a hiccup! You can even delete or rename photos or move or copy them to any other Album! Then I tried making a ringtone from a song and had it done within two minutes. This has got to be one of the best programs I ever bought. I've been in I.T.for years, own and use tons of software over the last twenty five years, but this little gem really thrilled me to no end. Just the fact that I can manipulate the photos on my iphone so easily and set them up any way I want is a real joy! I can't recommend this program enough to anyone who has had to suffer thru the inane synching method of Itunes and it's puzzling interface. Best buy has it on sale right now (Jan 2013) for less than $20! Every one else except Amazon is selling it for about $40-$70. Don't hesitate if you've ever though of getting a program like this..you won't regret it one bit..at almost any price!

This program not only lives up to what it says it can do but also does it so easily that it is a one of my best software purchases ever. I had a major system crash and when Itunes came back half of my music was unplayable because Itunes could not locate it. The titles were there but that was all. Luckily I had all of my music on my ipod but Apple has NO WAY of transferring those files from the ipod. This program did it quickly and very easily. All the music (mostly recordings of old vinyl of mine that had been stolen in a burglary) was back in itunes. Like I said, a Fantastic program. I did have to contact their tech support regarding a question I had and they were quick to respond with the answer. Nice customer service as they followed up several days later to make sure all was well.

This software is pretty easy to use. Its great for burning movies.

This is the only negative review I have I ever submitted for a product purchased at Best Buy. I needed a program to manage the songs on my ipod and iphone. I installed the program and read the online manual carefully. I connected each device and selected songs to delete. The program showed they were deleted. When I restarted each device, the "deleted" songs were still there. The next day, I connected my ipod to try again. I got a message the program did not recognize the device - the program was being upgraded and to check back to install the upgrade. I checked each day for a week. About 10 days later, I installed the upgrade when it became available. The program recognized the device but had the same problem. I re-read the manual. The program showed the songs I wanted to keep but did still did not recognize that the "deleted" songs were on the device. A waste of money.

I have Windows 8.1 and this program didn't work. It won't read my devices when they are connected or even allow me to see my current ITunes programs. A worthless piece of junk. I tried deleting and reloading and got the same result. I wasted my money.

File transfers are slow and often fail. After several attempts to use this product, I gave up and installed a free version of Dropbox. Dropbox is fast, free and I wish I had learned about Dropbox before I wasted $49 on this software.

The best buy tech guy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He made my problem go away.

My hard drive was mistakenly wiped , needed a way to get my music back and this did the trick. Pretty simple drag and drop method makes it easy enough for anyone to use.

IDevice software never worked for me. I thought this product would assist me with transfering files to my iphone. Sadly the product never worked when I installed on my laptop. I just get an error instead of the interface. This software is a joke!

This software was fine...But NOT what I needed. I needed to convert current file on my computer, not convert files to my I PHONE from my computer. The description was confusing and made me buy something I really could not use. this had no bearing on the product quality.

Right software for transferring data form my iPad to my computer without using itunes - though you stiil need the software on your pc. Ran into a problem that I am troubleshooting now - my second iPad getting an error message thet prevents it from transferring book already on the 2nd iPad to my PC.....

This product is great for copying DVDs and music on to a San Disk to take on family vacations and use on the tablet. My daughter loved watching movies on our recent family trip to Las Vegas.

I was really upset when I bought this. The software never installed right and did not work when I got it installed. I was excited when I bought it and upset when I got home. Do not buy this one, look for another brand.

Very easy install. Customer service was easy to talk to. Program is easy to use. I use it for my iPad I pod and android.

** DO NOT buy this product ** unless you want to throw away your money. Was promised by the blue shirts that it would work as described. Skeptical at first, I was assured by another blue shirt and a member of the geek squad that it would locate and transfer files from the ipad to the macbook pro. I was told, and confirmed before checking out, that if it did not work I could return it for a refund. The result: neither statement was true. This program did not work and the store would not take the product back. Disappointed with the product and even more disappointed in how the not so knowledgeable staff at Best Buy handled this situation. ** DO NOT buy this product **
