This has been easy to use as my first laser engraver. I’ve made many items on wood and anodized aluminum without issue so far. It’s nice and big for large projects, but not too heavy to move around. The 20W model would be a good purchase if you want to get projects done quicker, but the 10W handles all the same materials, just a bit slower. The 3w IR laser for engraving directly on metal would be nice too. I purchased a high-powered suction fan to pull fumes out and vent them outdoors (I exhaust under my garage door). Make sure you vent outside, since the laser is burning material to make a mark. Also be careful to buy materials that are safe for laser engraving. Some materials emit extremely dangerous poisons or chemicals into the air, which can damage the machine or send someone to the hospital. My only frustration: the machine won’t operate in environments above 95°F. For safety, it refuses to activate the laser above that temperature. I keep mine in my garage, so here in Vegas I’m limited to cooler hours. Frustrating, but that’s on me for not checking this before purchase.

Most of the features of the X tool M2 performance great there is a learning curve to some of the alignments and the materials

This is the best machine hands down for beginner crafters. Easy to use and does so much. Defintely love my purchase and cant wait to see what else I create.
