I was a young man when I first watched Alfonso Cuaron's fantastic movie. This opened doors to him that hopefully have not culminated a career with a Best Director win at this years Academy Awards for Gravity. The movie holds your attention and feels like it's aging very well. I recommend this movie to anyone wanting to explore how unique a style both visually and in his storytelling, Alfonso had way before Harry Potter came knocking.

After waiting for Cuaron to finish Gravity and approve their Blu-Ray, Criterion finally adds Y tu Mama Tambien to the collection. It was worth the wait. This disc blows the old DVD out of the water and carries most (although not all) of the extras over. One note: be careful if you have this shipped, because the set is packaged in a digipack and can be crushed if you aren't careful.

This is a powerful and touching film from the director of "Gravity" though the two films could not be more different. This NC-17 rated story of love, friendship and the fragile nature of life is funny, endearing, bittersweet and tragic. Kind of like life.

This movie is one of my all-time favorites. It's beautifully shot and incredibly well-acted. The two young leads are talented beyond their years and the entire film seems to be bathed in a haze of romantic light that will leave a lasting impression.

This is the best purchase that I've ever made from best buy. A great coming-of-age film which keeps you captivated from beginning to end. A must buy especially for Criterion collectors.

not for everyone but if you love curazon this is a must have, you can see how he is starting to develop as a director.

This is a highly regarded tale captured on film, and Criterion has done an amazing job of saving it for us all to share and enjoy for years to come.

Enjoyed this movie, great actors and storyline. I was looking for this movie and I found it at best buy.

a raunchy coming of age film that delves into themes of life and friendship when two teenage boys embark on a road trip with much older women

Great road movie made by the great director Alfonso Cuaron. Must buy for foreign film lovers.

This is an outstanding film with a great bluray presentation by Criterion.

One of the best Criterion releases in a while. Comes with an excellent package that includes a book, discs and slick case. A must-own for any fan of the film.

THIS MOVIE CAN BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME PEOPLE, BECAUSE ITS CONTENT IS STRONG. THE MOVIE IS ABOUT TWO MEXICAN GUYS WHO MET A SPANISH GIRL DOWN IN MEXICO(NOTE, I SAID SPANISH GIRL, NOT MEXICAN). THEY TOOK HER ON A TRIP TO THE BEACH. THE MOVIES HAS THE STORIES THAT THEY LIVED IN THE TRIP.

Too often a blind eye is turned in the face of injustice, or even sometimes it can't even be perceived when directly confronted due to one's own bias.

A decidedly non-traditional coming-of-age story from Mexican cinema. The Criterion version is worth it for the improved PQ.
