Customers are saying

Customers consistently note that the gameplay of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is repetitive and uninspired, failing to live up to expectations set by the Ninja Gaiden series. Many found the story and graphics underwhelming, and the overall experience became tedious after a short period of initial enjoyment. Some players felt the game's attempt at a pulp aesthetic was unsuccessful. Ultimately, negative feedback on gameplay significantly outweighs positive comments.

Not the ninja gaiden you remember. It's trying to be pulp, but fails.

I played it for about one hour before I decited it was time to trade it in. The graphics and the story line were pretty boring. Overall I would not waste my money or time on this game.

This game has a retro feel to it - in a good way! Not the regular Ninja Gaiden that you know - but still a fun game. Cartoon type with 3D visuals - still a very fun game with god of war/devil may cry type of elements to it.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a third-person hack and slash video game that features elements similar to previous titles in the series. Players can run, jump, block and attack enemies using Yaiba's blade. A score multiplier on the right-hand of the screen accumulates the player's hit-count on the enemy. The "Ultimate Technique" mode seen in other titles has been replaced by a mode called "Bloodlust" which, when activated, allows Yaiba to destroy multiple enemies around him in quick succession.
