Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original Yakuza back on PS2. This is a great remake if you've played the original. And also works as a perfect starting point (though I'd recommend starting with the also recently released prequel game, Yakuza 0). And now that a remake of Yakuza 2 was also announced its a better time than ever to start. The highlights of Yakuza games is the combat and stories. There is a few different combat types you can switch into for variety and there is tons of side missions to play as well each with their own little interesting story. This is a very Japanese series, filled with their humor in addition to the more serious parts. I'd recommend looking up gameplay to see if its your thing.

This is a must have for any PS4 owner. At first glance it seems like a Japanese GTA clone but Yakuza is an entirely different experience. It feels like a labor of love and the deep emphasis they put on content makes this a unique open world game in that the environment actually feels dense, alive, and interesting.

Never played a Yakuza game before, and was hesitant to try this. But, glad to have tried it. The game is amazing. It's a remake of the original (on PS2 I believe?) and is a nice introduction into the series. Love it.

My first time playing the Yakuza series. The game looks good as a HD upgrade from the original game except the massive fingers. This definitely a story driven type of game and if you are expecting a large sandbox game, this will disappoint you. There are some repetition and the fighting system has some ackward transition at times but interesting enough to keep you in the game. Violence and overexaggeration at times but it is expected in a Yakuza themed game. Again, it is a remastered version of an older game, so keep that in mind. The steelbook version is kind of cool - no extras other than the container is metal with some tattoo graphics. Looking for a quick action/mild rpg game - this is worth looking at.

My boyfriend recommended this game to me since I was obsessed with Sleeping Dogs. So when this came out he told me to play this one and go through the rest of the series. So that's what I'm gonna do :)

So I hear that this is a remake of a PS3 exclusive. The story line is captivating and fun to perform missions. I want to say this is a cross between GTA, Saints Row, and Bayonetta. The fight mechanics are a tad more difficult than button mashing but still has that silly fun fighting. Tons of side games that breaks up the typical boring mission hunting. Graphics are amazing. The steelbook box is a nice touch and will be forever in my collection.

Great for collectors. A remake of the original game on PS2, Kiwami shines with polish. A longer experience and even longer if you want to do the side stuff. Another awesome PS4 exclusive!

Yakuza 0 was the first game I had played of this series and was really looking forward to Kiwami after finishing 0. Game is weird but a lot of fun. These days when almost every other game is open world, this game has its own identity and adds a unique flavor with its setting.

Yakuza Kiwami is an awesome remaster of Yakuza 1. The combat mechanics and graphics are much improved over the original. The Majima anywhere system and added cut scenes are a nice touch.

Great purchase that I plan to play right after finishing Yakuza 0. All of the Yakuza games will get remakes over time. Amazing story, well done side-quests/minigames, and much more!

I never played the first Yakuza game. I have played the others. Playing his in HD and for the first time, I was amazed. So many things to do. It was like a mix of Shenmue and GTA.....

If you enjoy the Yakuza series you'll love this one. I've had so much fun just going through the mini games that I lost track of time many times while playing. Great game!

Loved this game so much I spent hours just on the mini games without touching the main story. If you like the Yakuza series you have to add this to your collection.

You have to love this because if you dont the Yakuza will come for you! lol...if you are a fan of the series this one does not disappoint. Steelbook is a nice plus.

This game is a remaster worth playing it is great story based game that is before Yakuza 0, Should play to prepare you for yakuza 6 so the story makes better since.

Granted there is tons of story. So if you don’t like story-driven games I would skip this one. It works like a fighter-style game, subtitle only. Lots of drama !

Once I started this game, I couldn't put it down. Everything is great: the story, sidequests, etc. It's a wacky blend of a serious story with goofy side-stories.

I played this after Yakuza 0 and while not as good I really liked getting more story for some of the characters. The side quests were not as funny or interesting as the in 0 but everything else was just as good. If you liked Yakuza 0 you will probably like this game too. I would recommend you play that one first though.

The game is great.There are so many things to do with many hours of game play.I really like switching from English to Japanese and the grsphics are amazing.

A remake of the original Yakuza, this title introduces you to the long-running series. Lots of action, mixed with lots of fun minigames and diversions.
