If you want directions on how to install this lock, you're in luck they are in the box and there is a link to a 3-D presentation as well. If however you want to learn about the extra parts and pieces that come in the box and / or you want to learn how to set it up on the app or Alexa, you just need to install the lock and then call tech support. There is NOTHING in the sealed box I received that talked about this at all. I installed the app and it kept wanting to scan the QR code on the device, kept reading the code and then giving an error, this is ONLY for Apple HomeKit, per tech support. Otherwise you have to enter the serial number for the device. Hence the reason for calling tech support instead of pulling your hair out. (This is the reason for 4 stars) Tech support was EXCELLENT! They were patient and stayed with me until fully operational. And explained what the extra pieces were for. Yes I would recommend this product.

This lock is great. Set dynamically-generated codes for guests for a short period of time, for regulars on a specific schedule, or set a master code for your family. Set the door opening function easily. The app is smooth. But the setup.... you would have to work hard to make it worse. Nothing connected. Everything errored out. No actual instructions. Somehow after 90 minutes, everything just started working and now I hope I have years of smooth operations. Someone else said to just call support before you even start. Therefore, don't start at 11pm like I did.

Works well, the touch screen number pad is responsive and durable. I purchased this lock several months ago and the batteries are still doing well. The locking mechanism is easy to turn and the lock itself looks and feels high quality and sophisticated. I get several complements from visitors. I have it set up with Apple HomeKit and the auto unlocking feature when I arrive home is a life saver, very convenient; I highly recommend.

I am really liking it so far. The app works well and I can use Alexa to lock and unlock doors as well. Installation was pretty easy and setup wasn't hard.

Love this lock. I’m still learning a few things about it but it works well with the iPhone app and iwatch. Easy to install and program.

Autolock and no key access blows me away on this one!

Downloaded the Yale app and it was incredibly fast. I have it on my Apple Watch and it unlocks by the time I push the button and reach for the door handle. makes for a quick entry without the fuss of carrying around keys! Would recommend if you're not paranoid about being locked out.

Love this lock now we do not have to remember if the door is locked - overall a great lock with some cool function we can open and close the door with app there is no key so code or phone - we can create temporary codes for guest it works with Alexa and reminds if the door is not closed - overall makes you feel safe

Great smart lock. I use automations for various things around the house for arriving the leaving the house. Not having to worry about a house key is awesome. Assigning temporary codes for one time visitors is handy.

Unfortunately this device didn't fit my home doors as there wasn't enough clearance for the back plate to fit without damaging my door. Since it was for use in a rental home, I couldn't damage the walls. Excited to try this product in my home in the future!

I bought this lock for my front door, however it did not fit my door but after handling the unit can tell the quality was premium unfortunately I don’t have the experience of using it so cannot tell how the software works but from what I know August is very advanced in smart locks.

Really love this lock. Unlocks automatically when you approach the lock when you get home. Make sure you get the Connected By August model.
