We are very pleased with our new doorbell camera. It offers excellent video quality and a wide field of view, allowing us to see who is at our door clearly. The motion detection is highly accurate, providing timely alerts for any activity. Installation was straightforward, and the accompanying app is user-friendly and intuitive. This device has truly enhanced our home security and peace of mind.

So far the lock works great. We had the nest take lock and this adds a lot of features the previous 1 didn’t.

This lock is amazing, but you do need to connect via a bridge in order to control the lock with internet and echo. I was told that you can't use it with internet, but that was not true. I was told that you can only program one code to operate the lock, but I was able to program my code plus 3 more for family members.

I give it five stars easy to use.I like how I can lock my door if im away from home

Easy to install and setup. Works great with Google Home app. Makes it easy to lock or unlock from google devices in my house. Also easier to change the batteries without needing any tools.

This one really fits my needs and was a good choice after becoming a google household over the past 2-3 years. The set up was mostly painless (any errors were my own fault so wont ding the product for that) and it does well alerting me to things. I will say the location of where you put the lock and how often that door is openned and closed in a day are good to consider so you dont go nuts from all the locked/unlocked notifications.

It works great. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure you have a Thread server device (Google Nest Hub/etc) or else you cant even set it up.

Easy to install. Aesthetically pleasing, providing added security without a commercial feel. Online app is great for remote open and close as well as confirming lock status. 2 colors available.

Works great with HomeKit/Apple HomePod. No issues and easy setup.

Overall setup was not easy but the customer service at Yale was quick and efficient. Overall happy with the product but unsure if we will be able to use it on Apple Home. Currently only functional on the Yale app which is fine but not the reason we picked this brand

No need for a key. Ok to forget the key on the kitchen counter. Just enter your passcode And voila the door is unlocked

This is Yale's latest evolution from their successful Nest x Yale collaboration, now with Matter compatibility to work seamlessly across smart home platforms. Three months later, I'm genuinely impressed with how it's transformed my daily routine. The unboxing experience immediately tells you this is a premium product. The Snow finish I chose has this beautiful matte texture that resists fingerprints remarkably well, a detail that matters when you're using the keypad multiple times a day. The oval design is sleek without being ostentatious, and it perfectly complements my doorbell. The color matching between them creates a cohesive look. Installation took me about 35 minutes, which included removing my old deadbolt entirely. Yale includes an adapter for smaller bore holes, though my standard door prep didn't need it. Everything lined up perfectly, and the instructions were crystal clear, some of the best I've seen for a smart home device. The Door Sense component installed cleanly with the included adhesive, and I appreciated not having to drill into my door frame. Here's where things get really interesting. Because this lock uses Matter over Thread instead of WiFi, the battery life is exceptional. Yale claims up to 12 months on four AA batteries, and after three months, I'm still showing 85% battery life despite daily use. The Thread connection through my Nest Hub has been rock solid, commands from the Google Home app execute almost instantly, faster than I expected. Setting up was literally just scanning the QR code in Google Home and waiting about 30 seconds. The Matter integration means I can control it through Google Home today, but if I ever switch platforms, the lock comes with me. That kind of flexibility gives me confidence this investment will last. In daily use, this lock has become invisible in the best way. It just works. The push-button keypad responds well even when my hands are wet from working outside or full of grocery bags. I love having the physical key backup for peace of mind. Creating access codes through Google Home has been straightforward. I've set up permanent codes for each family member, plus temporary ones for service providers. Last week, our HVAC technician needed access while we were at work, and I created a code that expired after four hours, and it worked perfectly. The lock automatically locks after 30 seconds, which took some getting used to but now feels essential for security. Voice control through Google Assistant requires your PIN, which adds a security layer I appreciate. What struck me most is the build quality and reliability. Unlike some smart home gadgets that feel flimsy, this lock has substantial weight and solid construction. The interior thumb turn operates smoothly, and even in manual mode, the mechanism feels precise and well-engineered. The weather resistance has held up through several rainstorms without any issues. Yale's experience in traditional lock manufacturing really shows here. The DoorSense feature deserves special mention. It knows when your door is actually closed before locking, preventing that awkward situation where the deadbolt extends while the door is still open. This integration with Google Home also means I can check if I remembered to lock the door from anywhere, bringing genuine peace of mind. Looking at where this fits in Yale's lineup, it represents their commitment to the future of smart homes while maintaining their reputation for security. It's clear this was designed specifically for Google Home users who want a premium experience without complexity. Yes, the Matter ecosystem is still growing, and I expect even more features will become available through updates. But even as it stands today, this lock delivers on its core promise: secure, reliable, smart access that doesn't require constant fiddling or troubleshooting. For anyone already using Google Home or looking to start their smart home journey, this lock is an excellent foundation that will grow with the platform. After three months, I can't imagine going back to a traditional lock. The convenience of generating temporary codes, checking lock status remotely, and never wondering "did I lock the door?" has become part of my new routine. It's the kind of upgrade that makes you wonder how you lived without it.

Bought this to match my door color and it matches perfectly! The lock is tight and very easy to function. Only a couple weeks in, but no complaints yet!

We previously owned a model with a touch screen, but unfortunately, it cracked after being exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period. In contrast, this new model features physical buttons, which makes it much more durable and resistant to the effects of sun exposure.
