Lock and unlock responses are quick, and integration with modern smart home ecosystems is clearly the focus. That said, there are some important technical requirements buyers should be aware of before purchasing. The lock relies on the Matter smart home standard, which means it requires a Matter-compatible Wi-Fi router to function properly. Standard routers won’t cut it. You’ll need hardware such as a Google Nest WiFi Pro or another certified Matter router. On top of that, IPv6 must be enabled on your network—if your router or ISP doesn’t support IPv6, setup may fail or features may not work as expected.

Bought the item knowing Yale makes quality products and being a Google smart lock, I had to have at. Installed and add it to my Google Home app. Easy install and I'm loving it. Highly recommend if your needing a great smart lock.

Easy installation, and works perfectly with Google home.

Very easy to install but I find it a little challenging pairing it into the phone app. It doesn’t work remotely unless it is set up in the google home app.

Easy to install and setup. Works great with Google Home app. Makes it easy to lock or unlock from google devices in my house. Also easier to change the batteries without needing any tools.

I installed one of these in my house and loved it enough to buy another for my father-in-law to replace his older unit. Highly recommend it, with one minor word of caution regarding the setup. The Pros: Sturdy Build: The hardware is heavy-duty and feels incredibly secure once installed. Convenience: The single-touch lock and timed auto-lock work flawlessly. Smart Sensors & Automation: It includes an open/closed door sensor. I easily created a Google Home automation to notify me if the door is left open while the AC/heat is on! Google Home Integration: Issuing temporary keys through the app is super easy and perfect for when you are away. The Warning: Setup: During the initial setup of my father-in-law's unit, I unplugged his Google Hub Max to relocate it immediately after connecting the lock, which I am sure bricked it. I highly suspect this interrupted an automatic firmware update. While speculative, from a firmware perspective, it makes perfect sense why this ruined the unit. Totally my fault, so be sure to let it sit for a bit after the first connection! Customer Service: Excellent across the board. Yale support was ready to ship a replacement unit, but Best Buy ended up taking care of the exchange for me quickly and easily. Great lock, great support!

We have had several different smart locks. We keep coming back to Yale. Overall we like this one. Like the real buttons that light up. It glitches sometimes but easy to fix.

This is exactly what we were looking for and it has been perfect for our needs it works extremely well with the Google home app. My only complaint is that I can't get the door sense sensor to work with the Google home app,but the product other than that works as it should and has made our lives much easier with two children who constantly forget to lock doors as well as family and friends who occasionally need to get in when we're away.

Works with Matter/Apple HomeKit. Works flawlessly with Apple home app. I put these on all of my exterior doors. Also great battery life.

needs good quality batteries to work well, bought it for great value from reputable brand and i got locked out. tends to happen with these smart locks batteries cant handle load. had another before this one. i like how this one is white though and works with google. only if you. have the google home hub though. being yale you has options for setup whether it’s google or yale account.

Already being deep into the Google home system this lock fits in beautifully. With matter we've had no connection issues, and the response of notifications is near instant, even with brick walls that sometimes block signals. Past all that you get your expected smart lock faire, multiple codes, auto-lock, and a pretty clean aesthetic. If you're in the google ecosystem and have matter through your house, and don't want fingerprint, this lock is ideal (if you do want fingerprint , the other Yale lock might be a better choice)

It is not bad. But i dont like to give 5 stars coz i could not control with app when i go out. It needs to be connected via Bluetooth i think. And also alexa could not control even though it is supported. Using more money can get a another one but reviewers says that battery will be the problem also (no longer). So i choose this one. Anyway, if you dont mind the above problems ot is still fine and easy to use.

Fairly easy to install, great battery life. My only issue was it kept jamming despite using the provided strike plate.

Nice improvement over the previous one. Although more plastic than metal (I guess that's why it's cheaper) but the setup was a breeze and seems solid enough. The opening and closing system seems to be more noisy but does the job and reports the status on the app more frequently. So far, if you are coming from the old one (which was starting to give me trouble triggering the alarm of being hijacked for weird reasons) , this one has been acting great and I like more the buttons on this.

This is the third Yale lock that I purchase. I love how easy to install they are and how easy to set up as well. Syncing the wireless bridge might be the most challenging part. Everything else is very easy and friendly to use. Def recommend it.

A solid option for door lock if your invested in the Google home ecosystem

This one really fits my needs and was a good choice after becoming a google household over the past 2-3 years. The set up was mostly painless (any errors were my own fault so wont ding the product for that) and it does well alerting me to things. I will say the location of where you put the lock and how often that door is openned and closed in a day are good to consider so you dont go nuts from all the locked/unlocked notifications.
