This replaced a very old Yale x Nest lock that started failing. It seems to be an overall improvement, but I had some issues getting Matter setup. One of the fine points is that you need to enable ipv6 on your router. I have not setup Door Sense yet. That feature may be less than I had hoped with Matter.

This lock is amazing, but you do need to connect via a bridge in order to control the lock with internet and echo. I was told that you can't use it with internet, but that was not true. I was told that you can only program one code to operate the lock, but I was able to program my code plus 3 more for family members.

Purchased this lock to replace an older Schlage Z-Wave lock that crapped out. Was able to connect to my Matter hub (SmartThings) without issue and the lock itself works great.

I purchased it because I know it's a good quality brand. But then my husband said he didn't want it, so I returned it without opening it or installing it. So I cannot provide a review further.

This is a must have!!! Excellent quality easy to install and use. The control from your smart home apps give you a piece of mind when leaving home.

We previously owned a model with a touch screen, but unfortunately, it cracked after being exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period. In contrast, this new model features physical buttons, which makes it much more durable and resistant to the effects of sun exposure.

Very impressed with this lock. It installed easily, works smoothly, and the app controls are straightforward. No issues with connectivity and the keypad is convenient. Highly recommend.

Easy to install. Aesthetically pleasing, providing added security without a commercial feel. Online app is great for remote open and close as well as confirming lock status. 2 colors available.

Installing and adding it to SmartThings was easy, it locks and unlocks smoothly and communicates wireless via Thread smoothly and reliably, and reports status quickly. However the Matter side was a nightmare. I could only enroll 25 users and pins via Smartthings. After that it rejected additional guests users and pins. I thought it would hold 250, but I could only add 10% of that amount. If something went wrong while enrolling a new guest and pin, it got stuck behind the scenes and I couldn't set up that pin until I reset the lock and started fresh. If I deactivated a user and pin, I wasn't able to re-activate it again or use the pin again for a different guest. I tried setting up guests via both the smartthings app and the samsung smartthings advanced interface on the web; I was only able to get it to work sufficiently the app. I went through multiple resets and re-setups, which was frustrating, and am anticipating resetting it every year or two to set up a fresh set of pins. It also appears that for installing updates like firmware I'll need to reset it, set it up via the yale app, install the updates, and then reset it again to re-setup with Smartthings. I'm really hoping the compatibility and buggy functionality will improve over time. This usage pattern is all for using it via Thread and hopefully getting far better battery life.

Great lock for Apple users. Wallet key entry works flawlessly. However, when paired with the WiFi kit, battery drain is noticeably higher than with similar smart locks. Yale stands out with its door position sensor, which detects whether the door is open. This is critical for the auto-lock feature. Some competing brands will extend the deadbolt even when the door is open, which can lead to door frame damage when the door is closed. The only notable downside is battery consumption.

​It was the only one that truly fit my door's specifications. The back section is, fortunately, much smaller than all the other alternatives I examined. It works as a charm, performing its function flawlessly.

I have been using this lock for several months and it has been solid as a rock. I love the ability to check that your door is locked from anywhere.

Installation wasn’t the easiest but that’s because I needed to make the hole bigger in my door. Other than that, it works great. Easy enough for my 8 year old to be able to unlock the door and I can lock it from my phone.

It works great. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure you have a Thread server device (Google Nest Hub/etc) or else you cant even set it up.

Setting up the Smart Lalk from Google was OK made by Yale, the issue was the matter portion setting it with different home animation!

Looks so much better than the previous generation which got moved to the garage. Sleek and slim, blends in with the door better

Bought this to match my door color and it matches perfectly! The lock is tight and very easy to function. Only a couple weeks in, but no complaints yet!
