The Yamaha RX-V681 is great. Does so many things and it is going to take me a while to learn it all. Works well with my new SUHD TV too.

Went to my local best buy with intent to purchase the Yamaha V581 reciver they didn't have it in store so I price matched a Yamaha v681, got it home and it was doa out of the box, took it back a week later and they had the V581 in stock, traded it for that and it works GREAT, love this unit, basicly has all the functions as the V681 just 35 less total watts and 5 less watts per channel, plus Yamahas phone controller app is a really nice touch

This receiver works great. Only two thing I would improve: 1. You can only use the auto eq system in one spot. It would be better to average the readings from several locations. 2. There is a very slight loss of fidelity when the sound processing is enabled. It's still worth using processing, but I would like to see a bit more resolution and transparency. Overall, I'm happy with it. And it hasn't broken (like my Marantz...).

Good replacement for our years old receiver Seems to have an initial sound delay when you first turn it on which is a bit annoying but the sound is good

This is my third receiver in the Yamaha RX series. I bought this one because I needed to upgrade to one that has 3D pas through capabilities. Plus my old one was about 6 years old. It was pretty out dated but still functioned perfectly. This unit does everything it says with no problems. The remote app is also very convenient as I have a second zone set up on the back porch. Not having to go inside to turn it on is great.

I got it for an offer. It is a 7.2 channel av receiver. I have attached one Yahamma Sub woofer, one Sony center speaker and four Bose 161 speakers. Have two more points for speaker and one point for the second woofer. The sound output is great. The YAPO Mic system automatically adjusts the speaker output which will be comfortable for the room. I would recommend it to any one who likes to have a home theatre

This is my third Yamaha upgrade. It was perfect for what I needed. It connected all my theater components to and from the receiver. Making everything HD and easy to control. Has a nice and easy iPhone app too, makes it even easier. The only thing I like to see easier to do is the Bluetooth is too complicated to connect. Then doesn't really work as effectively as others.

had old denon reciever and updated to a 4k 7.1 channel. i am very pleased with it.
