Had I to do it over again I believe I would paid up another $200 to get a better system. My first experience with soundbar system and quite honestly it is not much better than the speakers on my $1600 Vizio 65” tv. Find myself running stereo mostly vs the surround mode. Sound quality is better for streaming Bluetooth music and I would give that 4 stars based on what I paid but downgrade to 2 stars for use with tv.

I purchase this because of the good reviews and they were all right. Excellent soundbar with ease of use. The remote is nice and easy to use. Nice app for phone from Yamaha to Bluetooth phone.

Despite complaints of dialog issue , I have have found this sound bar , to be an excellent addition , to my Samsung 8000 Series TV .

I received this a s a Christmas present and have to admit that it works amazingly, the sound is crisp when it needs to be and also bassy when you need the big booms. Love it.

Much improved sound over the Sharp TV speakers. Slim design and relatively easy installation. The HDMI connectors could be placed a bit more ergonomically.

Good sound.. was a little tricky to get it to work with my Samsung TV wouldn't work thru HDMI cables but got it to work with Optical Cable

With a name like Yamaha, you expect really great sound. It just wasn't there. The bass was nice, but not room shaking, which I was really hoping for in home theater. Additionally, it would not sync consistently with my Samsung TV. Sometimes it was there, other's it wasn't. It made for too much frustration so I exchanged it.

The Yamaha YAS 207 isn’t a bad sound bar, but definitely not for audiophiles. The regular surround sounds fine, but the 3D Surround lacks projection and sounds like it’s coming from a tin can in an open room. If you are looking for a sound bar with some power, I would look to a more premium setup.

Good sound quality but lacks bluetooth output for headphones.

The surrounding sound feature is great, pretty good for my bedroom.

Yamaha makes the best products for sound. I've had other Yamaha speakers and have always been pleased.

Best soundbar i ever bought especially when you're on a budget. It competes with the top brands.

While the soundbox works, the sound that it emits makes it sound distant and hollow. Better than the TV, but not quite what I expected.

Was really excited to get this after reading TONS of soundbar reviews. Was really underwhelmed by the sound quality.

I have owned many surround sound systems over the years (Bose, Visio, Samsung, Yamaha, Sony, Pioneer) along with soundbars over the last 20 years. I am experienced in audio recording as well. This Yamaha soundbar is great! To get the best sound, you need to use HDMI 2.0 over ARC. Some TV's do not support ARC. The sound is crisp, clear, and fills the room. The bass does not distort the sound at all. While watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2, it sounded at times that spacecrafts were flying past me. The surround feature works great when needed. Unlike other soundbars, it does simulate every sound in surround sound. It only gives you the surround effect when it is called for. Honestly if I closed my eyes and listened to this soundbar not knowing what it was, I would guess that the price was anywhere from 500 to 800 dollars. It is important to make sure you have the right setup to get the best sound from this unit. There is no way I would spend even 500 on the Bose soundtouch 300 after paying $300 for the Yamaha Yas 207. I just can't talk enough about it. It allows 4k and HDR passthrough, It is equipped with CES so I can control the volume with my TV remote. If your on the fence about this, give it a try. I don't see how anybody can give a bad review on this product.
