Bought a samsung soundbar 2 years ago. Sounds good, but always had to turn it up louder to hear the voices on tv, but then it was too loud for our children trying to sleep upstairs. We wanted to hear the voices in shows and movies easier at night without having to crank the volume up. I love cnet and crutchfield and some others for professional reviews. For the $400 and under price range they say this is the soundbar to get. They are totally right. Again, soundbars can go way over $400, and sound better than this. But for this price range, this soundbar is truly excellent. Vocal clarity is excellent, we don't have to crank the volume up anymore for hearing dialogue in movies. The surround sound for a soundbar subwoofer combo is excellent. Smartphone app to control soundbar is great. Remote control of subwoofer is great. The subwoofer is not overwhelming/annoying like many soundbars in this price range. The punch it gives is the correct ammount, and a quality punch. This is five stars. So glad we bought it. Played Flo Rida for fun on the samsung soundbar subwoofer and then on the yamaha yas-203. What a difference. Depth, balance, range, clarity. All there on the yamaha. We did an online order with best buy, heard from them in one week that it came in. Very smooth order experience.

Looking forward movies at home. We haven't set it up as yet but are anticipating a positive outcome.

I compared this soundbar after buying another brand and was disappointed with the performance.

NOT BAD BUT NOT LOUD ENOUGH FOR MY MAN CAVE. CAN'T HEAR THE GAME

This bar is okay,but I find my Sony tv speakers are almost as good.

This soundbar is exceptional - I'm not sure why people are dogging it! I loved it so much that I ordered one for each of my parents! The Vizio 3.1 is also excellent (I have it too) if $400 is too much. I do think the Yamaha has better bass and I like the clear voice option, but the Vizio is amazing as well.

Works great with my Vizio 65". Placement is important. Too high and the sound sails over your head, too low and music playback is only good when you're sitting down. If your tv is wall mounted and you mount this just below it should be perfect.

I bought this Yamaha sound bar with wireless subwoofer which is nice. Playing music through it it has great performance, and works well for TV and movies. Once I found it on sale for $249.99 I couldn't pass it up. Very easy setup and highly recommend! J

Easy set-up. Sound from soundbar was good but subwoofer was ok. Returned it and got Samsung HW-J8500 on sale price of $450. Samsung with sale price is 100 times better.
