Customers frequently mention the excellent sound quality and ease of use of the 200W 2.0-Ch. Stereo Receiver. Many also appreciate its powerful output and reasonable price. However, some customers point out the lack of a phono preamp and less-than-ideal speaker wire connection terminals as drawbacks. The receiver's design and setup process also receive positive feedback.

This is a simple 2 speaker receiver. It only supported RCA input, which the best buy guy told me it supported bluetooth. Kinda my fault for not reading the box, it will be a great receive for some but didn't fit my needs. The audio was decent but the best buy insignia branded one seemed to be a better bang for your buck.

I love the old fashioned stereo receiver. 200w, hook ups for 2 sets of speakers, a CD, tape deck and turntable. I'm happy as a clam! my only qualm is the remote had a short and would turn on the stereo at odd hours at 90% volume. Yamaha replaced at no coast but it definitely ruined my enthusiasm.

I wanted this receiver for months. I kept trying to catch a sale. I was lucky enough to find one that was returned to the store. It was in a box with all of its contents. The sound is very crisp. The quality is old school. I own my house so I can play this receiver as loud as I want to play it. Guess what I use it to shake my windows. The sound is remarkable. I connected six speakers to this receiver. No worries.

Overall the product is great, it produce a nice sound, but you have to take it past 50 to get a fill for the music. It would help if had a bass booster. Work well with full ranager speakers that are max for 100 watts, I'm using some Kenwood bookshelf speakers. It produce bass very well pass 50 and goes to 100. I have yet to max it out. Clear sound

Not bad for the money. Bought this to power my outdoor backyard speakers for music listening while barbecuing. Has adequate power, just enough not to entertain the whole block. Basic stereo system, only needs a bit more power for speakers that are not very efficient.

We purchased the Yamaha to replace an old Pioneer unit that had seen better days. We listen to radio about six hours out of every day, and quality is important to us, and the Yamaha did an excellent job with our bass- and high-range Kloss speakers.

Just purchased recently, and pleased with sound quality. Easy to set up but wish the speaker wire connections opened more widely or accepted plug in option.

I had to replace an earlier yamaha and this low end unit is what I needed for my old stereo system which includes cd recorder, tape recorder, and speakers - my secondary "old" stereo system with two speakers only - I could hook-up my turntable as well but no room in location at this time - yamaha is excellent as always and have several price ranges to choose from as well as features - I have purchased 4 receivers over the years and have always been satisfied - recommended

I selected this unit to replace my 1974 Kenwood amplifier and tuner. This unit has twice the power of my old units and very low harmonic distortion--and costs significantly less than I paid in 1974! The remote works well for all functions. My only complaint is that like most modern receivers it lacks a phono preamp for use with a traditional turntable, so I have to order a separate preamp so I can use my turntable.

I bought this receiver open box, and when i got it the volume knob was broken and the tuner did not work at all. I would be afraid to buy open box anymore, that being said yamaha receivers are great products.

This was a generally full featured unit at a reasonable price. It doe not have turntable, subwoofer out or pre-amp ins or out. I have a turntable preamp that allows for USB and the pre-amp out for subwoofer can be accomplished by using the record out. Great value
