I was looking for great sound and easy to use receiver and this Yamaha receiver fit both requests at a low price. I especially like the A-B switch for the speaker. I have speakers in two rooms and the switch allows me to use two or all four speakers.

Good sound quality. I especially like that it turns itself off after a quile if no music is playing. Remote works well. Would like one more input.

Put in a home theater in. Was looking at many options to do the theater sound, but was confused by all the options. II had some Bose 301's left from a previous set up. Plugged the into this new recever and bam!

Sound is good..operation is easy to learn. Only issue is turning the unit on which occasionally requires a re-set by unplugging and plugging unit back in. then you can turn unit on.

If your looking for a basic no frills amp this one is the one. Great for small stereo setup, this amp will provide you great quality sound without spending the big dollars.

I needed a replacement for an ageing receiver. This fit my requirements, I didn't need a lot of bell's and whistles just a basic unit. For the money this receiver has a great neutral sound.

This is a simple and easy to use receiver, it seems to be reliable and looks and sounds great for the price. It would be great for a secondary music listening area like a patio but is good in general with 2 channel music listening. It would be nice to have better speaker wire terminals (binding posts) and bluetooth or digital inputs but that is not really expected out of an entry level receiver.

I bought this receiver only for my outside speakers. Didn't need surround sound and the like. Besides, a Yamaha with 200 watts per channel for $149.00? Who'da thunk?

Began setting up a listening room in a infrequently used part of the house and since I already had a great experience with an older Yamaha receiver, a new Yamaha was the natural choice. I listen primarily to radio here (with an old school antenna) and the results are beyond my expectations. Living on the fringe area of great stations on Long Island is no longer a poblem with the tuner sensitivity that brings in all the stations I love. It's a great receiver.

Bought for garage and worked out great. Perfect for small room with 2 speakers.

I hooked the receiver up to 4 speakers on a large patio. Sound was very good.

All I needed was an amp for an outdoor sound system. This meets and exceeds my requirements. I see this as a plug and play system that is easily adjusted to my listening preference. I use it with my 12" 3-way speakers and it produces more sound than I really need. I like having the extra power in case I want it. I played the music loud for a while in really hot weather (south Louisiana) and the receiver shut itself off because it got too hot. All I did was let it cool for a minute and turned it back on. Now I have a small fan next to it for those hot days. Indoor use should be no problem. It does not have HDMI connections for a Hi-Def home theater system but, for my application, I don't need those features. I feel that it was a good buy for the price and it has more than enough power to keep me happy.

I love myreceiver. I can listen to my CDs radio station and TV on it. It has a remote and. Is easy to use. Was also inexpensive.

Works great very happy for the price... Could receive Chanel's better.. But everything works great

Bought it for the garage. Hooked up perfectly, and the tuner and aux work well with the existing speakers. I basic, robust design. I wanted one that would allow me to change the frequency on the FM band. Too many nowadays don't let you except through presets. This one does.
