This is my 3rd Yamaha receiver RX-V 1500
RX-A 2050 now RX-A 3050. I like them because their built like a German tank.
I mainly stream my music from Pandora, so I like the 2050 but wanted the better Dac so I can listen to Flac music. You won't go wrong with this one.

I bought this to replace a 3 year old NAD 100 watt receiver that broke. IMHO the Yamaha sounds better and has more useful features. AirPlay works great and I like using the IPad app to control inputs and Dsp. So far I'm very satisfied.

2 HDMI outs allow separate signals to two separate tvs or monitors. The DDCP 2.2 gave me some grief with my television for a short time but was easily resolved. Easy to rename connections and mobile app works well. Accepted my Sirius without a problem and plays great. Am very happy with the purchase

This receiver has all the power that any small to medium home theater needs. Great FM section, very sensitive and able to pick up a large number of stations. The number of HDMI inputs will handle anything you need with 4K up-scaling. The MUSICAST function is great, which helps because the remote is not backlit, so you can use you smartphone as your remote.

my Yamaha 3010 died after 4 short years. I replaced it with the 3050 and it has nice sound. I like the fact that it is bi-amped but I can still play music in a secondary room with out having to reconfigure the unit each time. Just hit a button and go.

Running the RX-A3050 through a Bi-amped 7.1.4 utilizing the old RX-Z7 as my secondary amp was an easy set-up. Using 4 year old Polk Monitor 70II and Monitor 50s with small Atmos ceiling mounted speakers. While re-watching old favorite Blurays I have heard subtle voices I have never heard before nor noticed. The ease of setup was a pleasure and took no time at all. I have borrowed the Atmos demo disk from a friend and it blew my wifes mind. The Dolby Atmos is a symphony for the ears as the effects put you in the action! Warning...may cause Binge watching your old collection!

Great features and power. This receiver sounds as clean as seperates. I'm using it to power my Polk Audio RTI A9 Fronts, A3 rears, and CSI A6 Center.

This Yamaha is built solid and is my second one which is why I decided to upgrade to this RX-A3050. The features made it easy along with its 4K ready option, along with easy setup instructions to work with. The speaker setup options manually or automatic made life easy for picking what type of speaker setup you have along with multi room capability. It power handling is more than enough for a home, Bluetooth setup was a breeze and picking your DSP sound for what your watching makes the effects even better.

This was a Yamaha replacement - My old Aventage Yamaha just give out (Audio wise - Video was O.K.) after many years. It is not cheap but it is really a nice piece of equipment - But cheaper and superior to my old unit when it was new - especially the wireless network part - If you want a paper copy of the detailed instructions you have to print them but that would be worth while since this unit has many capabilities you would not even dream it had.

Whether you're listening to music of any kind or watching a movie this receiver has incredible sound. I have a separate amp powering the presence channels for 11.1 channels of sound. The Cinema DSP HD3 soundfields will blow you away and the music soundfields are just as good, especially if you enjoy jazz and classical. Dolby Atmos is an amazing new surround format, but with relatively few titles available yet. I can't wait for the DTS:X firmware update that will bring this amazing receiver to even greater heights; although currently Ex Machina is the only title released so far in DTS:X. This is the best sounding receiver I've ever heard. You'd have to spend a lot more on seperates to surpass it. Yamahas are built to last and this comes with a best in class 3 year warranty. It's not cheap, but well worth every penny.

This receiver is probably the best one you can get without doing separates. I upgraded from an RX A840 and can hear things I have never heard before in movies. I guess having the best DAC's will do that!!!! I am old school and have a 5.1 setup because, well lets face it, i have a wife and it's all I can do, NO MORE SPEAKERS :( I could have gone with a cheaper RX A3040, but it would give me connections issues later on since it doesn't have hdcp 2.2, where as this one is future proof!! :) The article from soundandvision.com DID NOT keep me from buying this yamaha. It showed how yamaha receivers amp's power DROP LIKE A ROCK in multi channel modes compared to say a Denon. I think it sounds amazing and am recommending this to everyone I know
