Easy set up for all connections and network. I had an existing (6 year old) Yamaha at a much higher price point and a a lot more watts (bigger budget then) but lacked new tech. Have a new Samsung 4K 8500. One thing hard to tell from reviews was performance -i.e., was concerned about the sound. I have a set of Definitive 2000s. Sound is great and powerful - at lower volumes and even when cranked. Also efficient - does not get as hot or as quickly. Busy time of year so have not had time to play around with all the new wifi functionality other than what I've tried so far has been good

The Yamaha receiver was a great choice for a new home theater. It was very easy to set up and sounds great. I like the ability to expand my listening by adding components in the future. I have it set up as a 5.1 system and intend to add more speakers in the near future. The crisp clean sound is excellent for movie watching and adjustable to any sound preference. A great buy.

I upgraded to this Yamaha receiver from a several-year-old Onkyo. This upgrade allowed my to run all my devices through the receiver - Set Top Box, Apple TV, and Blu-ray player. Setting up the 7.1 speakers in my family room was easy. I really appreciate the features that are new - for me at least. My favorite is the ability to broadcast to a Bluetooth speaker.

Easy to setup and I like how it has Pandora already built in. I listen to music the most and love the easy access.

Bought this receiver to replace an old one that suddenly died on me. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. It was very easy to install and the sound quality is very impressive. There are so many extra and advanced options, that I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what it can do, which is actually a good thing.

Purchased this for our main home theater system and I also wanted the zone 2 capability. Has great sound and video quality and reasonably intuitive interfaces. Like the auto detect features for the HDMI connections. Have owned Onkyos and Yamahas - definitely happy with this unit - great capabilities for the price.

I'm not an audiophile, but I invest in quality audio products because I want a decent home theater experience. This receiver was easy to set up, the sound is clear, the power is adequate, the features intuitive, even the FM stereo reception was good.

We love this receiver. It provides amazing sound with the speakers we bought and gives us the true surround that we wanted. I also love that I am able to connect more wireless speakers and tell the receiver which ones to play. That allows me to listen to tv or music while in the kitchen and not have to blare it throughout the whole house. This is something I would highly recommend.

The unit sounds great. The unit is fairly easy to set up and works very well. The integration of it with the smart tv is a bit challenging.

this yamaha receiver is the easyest to program and not to many fancy buttons once you set it you can forget it it will play amazing sound out of your sorround sound specialy the 4k wow you gota get in on this !!

I bought this receiver to pair with my polk audio Dolby Atmos speaker setup, sounds great, I bought this on a sale & this is an excellent receiver for the price. I definitely recommend this receiver.

I bought the Yamaha - AVENTAGE 665W 7.2-Ch. Receiver to replace an older Yamaha that had power problems. Overall the receiver is a good value when on sale and delivers great sound from my Infinity speaker system. Setup is somewhat of a pain, as there are a lot of settings and you have to go online to find them. I downloaded the pdf onto my computer to keep them handy. The only problem that I've had is that the bluetooth transmitter to my headphones do not sync perfectly with the program playing. I adjusted the settings to the max either way, and the sound always lagged behind the program playing. A disappointment but not a deal breaker, As long as you're not watching a movie or TV program, it would not be problem. Music would be fine. Overall, I am satisfied with the receiver.

Replaced two receivers that were required for A & B multi room speakers. 7.1 produces excellent sound quality and switching between or using both A & B speakers is very easy.

I bought a Yamaha receiver about 20 years ago and loved it so much I've never bought anything else. This has way more features than I will ever use and the sound is amazing!

Very good HDMI capabilities and decent with enough inputs. A bit limited in the analog sources flexibility but nit a big problem. Decent power in all the speakers.

Got this to run airplay to outside and garage. Works well and delivers good sound. Setup was easy. Can't speak for video performance though. For the money, its good
