Yamaha aventage 660 is a great receiver comes with all the bells and whistles at a low price

So far this receiver has definitely lived up to our expectations. The Music Cast features is great and the receiver plays nicely with Airplay and DLNA servers. I also love the auto-power off features as this was a problem with our old receiver. Sometimes it would get left on even with no signals running through it. This receiver has been great and you can have it just shut off after x-minutes of no activity.

Great receiver- sound quality is excellent. The price is good but be sure to get it on sale. Not worth full price.

I bought this Yamaha on sale and thought it was a great deal. The good, the product looks and sets up easily. Sounded good, however not excellent. The major problem was the black out during a movie, show or sports. The picture would just go black for about 1.5 to 2 seconds during the broadcast. I could still hear the audio portion however no picture. I troubleshooted the problem thinking it was my HDMI cord and then maybe the DirecTV box, however after changing all of them and just using the box, no problems. Once I reconnected to the receiver the trouble started again. It happened every few minutes so eventually, I returned the equipment back to Best Buy. I might have just received a defected receiver. I bought another brand and so far it has not had any problems. I have never had troubles before with Yamaha so it was probably defected, that can happen.

Found this one in the Hi end section and paid less than many on the shelves. VERY happy

This receiver has been fantastic. Yamaha quality is one of the best in the industry. Fast input switching, almost all the bells and whistles one would need, yamaha AV app works great also. Just need Yamaha to issue a firmware update now for Dolby Vision on the receivers. This is their high end line, so it's kind of ridiculous that they are saying they don't plan to issue an update for it.

Good receiver, paired with onkyo surround speakers set and it sounds awesome.

I love this receiver, works great and I love that you don't have to use the remote that comes with. If you use the ARC HDMI connection the receiver will turn on and off when you turn on and of your TV. The sounds is really clear and loud. The 2 sub outputs are great, I have 4 sub connected and it workes great. It comes with an app for your phone that you can do a lot of staff from.

Doldy atoms is amazing. I really like the surround modes with this receiver.

Yamaha is a good receiver have had one in the past, and the price was right.
