We were apprehensive buying this Yamaha Avenger at first because our hearts were set for another brand but was sold out. We are glad we purchased this even though the cost was $100 more than Pioneer. I love the 2 Apps Music Cast and AV Controller. Make sure you download these Apps.

Excellent sound and clarity. I wish the volume was higher but it still worth it.

This is a nice receiver, but it's way more than just a receiver. This thing has wifi built in, multiple options for speaker arrangements, pre-set audio styles, and bluetooth! It's a bit overwhelming unless you like playing with these options!

Went from a 20+ old JVC to this Yamaha. A world if difference and easy connectivity with their app. Have set up with Klipsch speakers - towers, book shelves, center speaker and 12in sub. Awesome sound!

This is a great receiver. You cannot go wrong with it if it meets your needs. We ended up wanting 2 zones for outdoor speakers plus surround system, so we returned this item in favor of the Yamaha A780. But if you only need 1 zone this one will not disappoint.

Less distorted than the 7.2 Sony high resolution audio and be able to turn louder. But it has to select Input HDMI and ..., not direct like Sony. Anyway, the high light color of the remote is visible for a few seconds once you touch and control it.

You can never go wrong with a Yamaha receiver. I can not see a reason to spend more money on a receiver. I have definitely technology speakers and the sound amazing and I hope your neighbors like your taste in music. More power than you need.

I had a Denon avr-s720w previously and it was terrible. This reciever completely changed my entertainment experience! Very easy to use and self-explanatory functions.

love the sound system. nIt took a few times for me to quickly switch from one area to another but once you get it is simple. great sound I just love the system and all of it's capabilities. Now need a light show to go with it.

I hooked up this reciever up to my B&W speakers and man what a sound. If you dont have a good reciever even hi end speakers wont sound good. Even at higher volums it is crystal clear.

Took a little bit to understand all the setups. It fulfills my need for Zone B speakers. would highly recommend.
