Upgraded to a 4K tv and needed a better receiver. So far the sound is way better than my sony receiver. Easy set up and room to expand.

This unit replaced an older Marantz receiver. When looking at the current selection of new products I felt this Yamaha receiver was a better option than the new Marantz offerings. Installation was a breeze and while it took some time to get thru all the options it was time well spent. Very happy with this purchase.

So far, so good. I bought this receiver for home theater. When I tried the stereo setting with an external phono stage, I was delighted with the sound. It completely exceeded my expectations. The DAC is excellent and works well with Tidal. Oh, the AV performance is excellent too.

Great features, easy to operate, and sounds awesome with power to spare!

Made the move to 4K UHD. This A/V Receiver met every need including passing through Copy Protection, 4K UHD, 3D, and HD video streams. On screen menus are improved since the previous HD version of this A/V Receiver. Did not use the power-amp portion of this receiver, so no comments on its power handling, but I sure it measures up. Love the dual HDMI outputs!!!

Easy to set up with great sound for a high end theater system.

Tremendous value and great performance made this a can't miss buy. I have used Yamaha receivers for years but this is the highest quality one I have ever had. A small learning curve in using all the features and setting up the receiver with my 4k Tv. I also loved the clean look of the unit!

It took several months of reviewing and listening to various receivers before I purchased my Yamaha RX-A1060. I enjoyed a lot of things about the Marantz, and other systems that I listened to. But overall, the Yamaha came through in every way that I was looking for, such as sound clarity, bass and differentiating between what I want when watching a surround movie or listening to a classic concert or my grandfathers New Orleans Jazz performances..

Great sound. Was highly recommended with all the other sonos equipment I purchased for a premier home sound system. When anyone is in my home and listen they are amazed. Highly recommended.

Great receiver if you are looking to upgrade to Dolby Atmos.

I bought this to replace my aging but working Yamaha receiver which sounded great but didn't have all the features of this one and I have to say it works and sounds fantastic with way better clarity.

This receive compliments my new home speakers. Although, somewhat bulky, it is what the price. Yamaha did a great job.

Very pleased with this receiver. It truly provides the ability to play outdoor speakers independent of the indoor sound being provided with the A/B switch. Only receiver capable to do this after trying 2 others that were supposed to provide this service. VERY happy

I bought this receiver mainly for its versatility I am using it in conjunction with a power amp. The initial set up is a bit involved if you want to do it right. You MUST read the manual before you hook it up, unless you've had Yamaha receivers before. The listening choices really puts you in any type of listening setting that you could imagine. It gives you so many choices like from an intimate chamber to a huge arena or stadium. I give this receiver a huge thumbs up.

I'm really happy with my purchase it gives me a great picture and sound on my television and when I play my Vinyl records it sounds great
