I have been using a Yamaha RX-V1 for 14 years and it performs beautifully. The Aventage series of receivers are of superior quality. The 1050-BL was great but didn't have enough power to push my power hungry McIntosh speakers so I need to move up a few rungs. However, for most people, it is a very able unit that has all the bells and whistles as well as superior build quality. My experience with other brands shows that nothing compares to these units.

This Yamaha 1050 reliever sure packs a punch! A must have for any audiophiles setup!

I requested a hard copy owner manual so that I can mark the sections I may need to review on a more frequent basis, shall we say. The HDMI -CEC does not work as I believe it should. It resets numerous setting on the LG UH8500..... I am NOW convinced that the workable solution will be to use a Universal remote where I set a global setting for functions rather then specific pieces of equipment. That way I will eliminate the receiver resetting the TV etc. The ability to manipulate the speakers and massage the sound is awesome!!

The Aventage line of receivers from Yamaha are at the top of audio & video advancements, well built quality and easily configurable.

In my opinion, Yamaha is the best in receivers. This particular one is no different. It is by far the best receiver I have ever owned. The Yamaha app is easy to use and control all aspects of the receiver. The multi-source multi-room function works awesome, as well through the app. The only downside, is its on the large side and it is heavy. Regardless, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a "brain" for their 7.1 surround sound system.

Haven't had a new receiver or speakers in over 35 years. Enjoying music once again.

Yamaha Aventage RX-A100 is a solid choice with 4K and 3D pass-through.

For years i have used Denon, but this time around I chose to switch due to the great reviews about Yamaha. Definitely worth it and Yamaha has gained a customer for life. Their technology is years ahead of Denon.

Bought this reciever after my Sony failed- love this one= a little difficult to set up,

Sound was amazing, but I have a little issue with the 4K video output, was so sad return this AV, I'm still looking for another one!

Loved this receiver. But decided to upgrade to the 1050.

If your looking for premium sound, full features and lots of in/out ports look no further. The dual zone is so nice to have.

It has all the latest features, it does not seem to put out the rated amount of power that was stated in the review.

Product does exactly what I had hoped for it to do.

Setting up my home theater, I initially wanted to go with a Yamaha AV receiver since I'd had Yamaha in the past and was very happy. However, I could never find the model I wanted in stock. Because of that, I tried other brands that I was told would drive my speakers and sound fantastic. Well, after testing out and eventually returning those other brands, I came back to the Yamaha RX-A1050. To say the least, I was so pleased with the ease of setup, the mobile app, and the sound! I couldn't be happier with YPAO setup and the overall sound of my system. The DSP is incredible and offers a great range of options for both music and video. Build quality is great and connections are plentiful. I'm very happy with my Yamaha purchase once again and would definitely recommend and buy again.

The User Interface is awesome but the sound is not hifi. The weak spot here is the amplifier

Have been a fan of NAD for many years and thought Japanese receivers just don't deliver rich sound. The sales lady changed all this! Wow the sound is incredible clear vibrant and true. Hooked up to B&W speakers, makes music come alive! So many features and as a newbie to home theater, easy to set up.The app is great on my iPad and makes selection very easy.You won't be disappointed !!
