Love this receiver. This my 4th Yamaha receiver in 10 years and all of them have been great sounding and super reliable. I’m so glad I went to the flagship 3070. I can definitely hear the difference in articulation with both music and movies. This thing even makes regular tv sound great. I feel that I got a great deal compared to the Denon or Marantz flagship models at $4k and $3k respectively. Those other receivers are very nice, but for me the Yamaha was a better value. The pro 32 bit ESS DACs and balanced audio inputs are just a couple of audiophile treats you get with this unit. Very robust and musical amp section with beautiful separation. If you love music, but still want the latest for video, look no further.

The AV unit works as advertised and was relatively easy to set up. The sound quality is superb and it really makes movies come to life. With all of the speaker configurations that this unit is capable of there is certainly something to fit your setup.

I am loving the power (punch) that this beautiful black box is delivering -really proving to be a nice upgrade for my home theater set up. A big bonus has turned out to be how satisfied I am when listening to music, this bad boy rocks!

I really like this receiver. I replaced a 10 yr old A3000 to upgrade to 4K capability. Very nice sound, easy to set, and I like the new phone app for control. The only thing missing is full integration with SONOS. Maybe in the future.

Purchased this receiver recently...must say it was worth every penny. On the tech side, I'm running the system 7-0-4 Bi-Amp at 6 Ohm with external amp for front and rear presence channels. Ext. amp bridged running 2 channels at 4 Ohm. In a nutshell some may feel that 2000 is too much money for a receiver but seeing and hearing is believing. The clear, clean sound at high or low volume levels is outstanding, and the high-res. DTS master audio on 4K movies is through the roof. For the features and overall quality this receiver delivers and then some.

I was originally going to get the Yamaha flagship separates which would have been more than twice the cost of this combo receiver. When my speaker selection for ATMOS 9.2.2 blew out my budget, I thought I was "settling"... I was SO wrong. This receiver is outstanding in just about every way and I couldn't be happier.

This is my second time buying this awesome receiver. I retired my previous Yamaha Adventage 11.2 receiver, after 11 years of service.

Audiophile or not, this system will give you everything you ever wanted in a movie theater! I paired mine with Bowers CM9 x 2, 685 x 2, HTM62 x 1, ELAC dolby atmos speakers, 2 subwoofers (definitive tech), acoustic panels. audio quest x-2 cables. etc

    HDMI INPUT FAILURE

After setting up unit, I first wanted to check out the HDMI Inputs and Outputs. My Setup is a JS7000 Samsung 4K UHD TV, Directv HR54 Genie, Samsung UBD-M9500 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray, and Amazon - Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD. I had Video Mode (V.M.) set to direct. When I turned on unit, and went to the input for Directv, I noticed random flickering white dots on screen. The only setting that would get rid of the flickering white dots was setting Video Mode (V.M.) to Processing and selecting 4K as the output resolution. Another thing I tried was adjusting the output of Fire TV. It did the same thing as directv input, when I had setting to 1080i or less. It was perfect for 1080p 4k, and 4k HDR. I'm wondering if anybody else had this problem . I think I had a faulty unit, just returned it before 15 day period. Will think about it for a day or two but probably get another one !
