Excellent receiver that replaced my Denon (middle of the pack) receiver. Was hesitant due to the Amazon Alexa (not for me) but you need to add an echo for it to work so no worries. Returned the Denon because it kept hitting thermal overload at 72% volume driving a Klipsch 5.1 speaker array. The Yamaha has less THD distortion, higher RMS wattage and pushes clean sound at very high levels flawlessly. The Denon had some bass distortion issues as well...not knocking them but for the money those things should not happen. Yamaha does it right and better. The Yamaha is over twice the cost but worth it if you want to drive high end speakers and enjoy full rich sound.

One of the finest receivers I’ve purchased yet. Plenty of power to push my Klipsch reference premiers: front, front presence, center, surrounds, surround rears, 2 SPL 10’s and KLF-30’s for zone 2. This my 4th Yamaha AV Rcvr in 15yrs, the only reason for replacing is for updated video connections, more speaker channels, and more power (all previous units still fully operational btw). Feature not listed: remote has white back lights and is also motion activated.

I waited for this receiver for 3 months and finally purchased one. It is truly a fine receiver. I will have plenty of time to figure out all the bells and whistles , but I basically wanted to drive 9 speakers and a couple subwoofers. It does that effortlessly. I like the AI too, but I usually just listen to stereo. NO bait and switch here....best buy delivered as promised. Purchased a protection plan too to insure the investment.

This receiver is mind blowing in my theater. I have owned three Yamaha receivers and this one is absolutely awesome. It gives my home theater a step above local cinemas around town. I definitely made the right purchase. The remote control has some great features. Yamaha gets an A++ for blowing it out the park with this monster of a machine. If you're going to do it, do it right with the top of the line. Couldn't have made a better choice!

I recently upgraded to my RX-A3080 from a 6 year old RX-A3020. The RX-A3080 maintains all of the great capabilities of the RX-A3020 but builds on it with full support for HDMO 2.0 (allowing 4K@60fps), Dolby Atmos, HDR, improved sound and video capabilities and more. The sound and video qualities are superb and improved from the older unit. The Android remote control application is excellent. My wife and I love this AVR.

The sound is great, as expected. I have 9.2 surround and it sounds like the movie theater. I now have to buy a bigger house because this receiver has a capability of 11.2 surround. My living room cant fit 2 more speakers so I need a new house. Truthfully the sound is fantastic.

I have been looking for an AV receiver that is also powerful enough to drive my Klipsch KLF30s for music also, without an additional amp. This unit is what I have been waiting for. I can bi-amp the klf30s because the amp is programmable. Very versatile and powerful. Clean sound

The receiver brought ever component together from my 4K TV, Blue Ray, satellite TV, Apple TV. One thing I did discover is all HDMI cables are not the same. By going to cables that supported 18Gbps fix all connections and brought the components to their full capacity.

This thing I'd filled with features and enough power to go the distance my only problem Is that I'm s total newbie and have no idea what I'm doing. To the several inputs to the rms power to the 11 channels all of this is more than enough for most

Wonderful, AI sounds really good. I recommend for anyone. Just a little pricy, but worth every penny.

This receiver made my open plan room feel like an audio studio. The sound quality is phenomenal if compared to the previous Onkyo in the same room.

This is the best-sounded AVR I have ever used. Nothing comes even close to it. Great Pic quality as well. simple to set up and easy to operate.

I have Onkyo and Lx 901 Pioneer .. but this the Yamaha Aventage is the best with many options I highly recommend it for home theater and music experts!

I love this receiver. Decided to upgrade from RX-V475 and I wish I would have done it a long time ago. It’s amazing how much better my speakers sound with the power coming from this monster of a receiver. I had been looking at buying new speakers, because, although my Klipsch bookshelf speakers have always sounded good with a subwoofer, they didn’t have enough bass when used in 2.0 mode when playing vinyl. Now that I’ve got the A3080, the bass is jumping; my speakers have never sounded so good.

What can I say. This is Yamaha’s flagship receiver and it is a beast. I drive a 7.2 surround system with two extra stereo speaker zones outside with independent source control of audio and video. Customization is near endless for many different home theater environments. Great receiver and my number on go to for a home theater.
