Yamaha is always a good product. I had purchased a Marantz receiver and did not do the job. This Yamaha is definitely more user friendly.

This is a pretty good receiver. The only issue i have is that the bluetooth would not pair with either of my Sony walkmans.

machine sounds great. remote sucks! at this price the remote should turn on the tv, change channels and input. it does not! the remote itself is a nightmare to navigate! replaced a Denon which was hundreds less and that unit did operate the tv! very disappointed!

Replaced Integra DTR 50.4. The 2080 can play music casted from my phone as any modern AVR should. Unfortunately, that was the only plus that it has. Set up instructions, user manual, connectivity, all inferior. There is no component output. Seriously considering exchanging for something else.

Defective unit having trouble getting it repaired

I have had this unit in for repair twice for the same issue which has been going on since the beginning of June. When I contacted them the first time I asked if they could do a even exchange, but they refused, the picture blinks on and off. I even took a video with my phone to show the tech what it was doing. Each time I had to make a appointment to drop it off because they were backed up because of the virus. Which took a week to a week and an half just to get it in the store to drop it off. Then they have to ship it to Atlanta, which takes abut the same amount of time to get it back. The last time I picked it up I was questioning the tech about what they did, and all he did was shrug his shoulders and crossed a finger as for saying good luck. It is not easy for me to get this unit in for repair because I use a wheelchair. I cannot just load it in my vehicle, I have to find a neighbor that has time to load and unload it. I cannot use this unit like it is, so I guess I am just paying for a expensive boat anchor.

Much disappointment. It replaced my old Onkyo unit and it doesn't sound anything like the old unit. Also has a hard time working with my Harmony Elite remote.

    Fantastic Sound, Excellent AVR

Received my AVR, unboxed and hooked up the power, speakers, DirectTV, Blu-ray with output to my Sony XBR-55X900E TV. I was replacing a Denon XVR 2100W which worked well but was not HDCP 2.2 compatible and underpowered driving my Definitive 9020’s. Following the powerup and reading the setup, I plugged in the YPAO Mic and followed the directions to set up the system. I will say this is much less intuitive that the Audessy setup from the Denon which involves several repeat steps, the Yamaha is much easlier. Following that I selected the input and streamed TV, then Music from my Direct TV feed. I was “BLOWN AWAY” by the clarity, power, separation and detail of the RXA 2080. I played with several of the DSP settings to shape the streaming Direct TV Pandora feed and then enabling the PURE DIRECT and driving the 9020’s to their full potential, it was extremely impressive… I did encounter an issue when engaging PURE DIRECT that was not clearly pointed out in the guide anywhere. When you engage PURE DIRECT it disables the Menu functionally stating “NOT AVAILABLE” prompting me to panic and do a master reset several times when flipping back forth to PURE DIRECT. It makes sense that external functionality would be disabled but gave me bit of panic rushing off to Yamaha tech support, (no reply btw) and finally figuring this out on my own. Once I got past that, I was able to finish setup through the menu functions and load Music-cast which allowed me to access Pandora from the RXV 2080…WOW….2000% better than the streaming out of the DirectTV feed. Truly impressive…. I could go on and on about how wonderful this box was, my research had me looking at Pioneer, Marantz, Denon, NAD & ARCAM. I was able to demo everything but the NAD and none came close on the rich sound except the ARCAM, but the cost had it dropped as a contender. The sound on all the boxes except the Arcam was nothing like the Yamaha, with the Arcam very close maybe exhibiting a bit more depth. The AI feature on the Yamaha RXA 2080 is wonderful. The difference between using it or not is noticeable and the AI brings a welcome improvement to this amazing machine, one that makes this purchase a solid choice. Highly recommend…….

This 6015 is the worst receiver I ever bought, isn't compatible with Sony Bravia OLED UHD TV etc. had two of them and similar plus new issues. They say it is compatible, i know it isn't because i bought a Yamaha and had no issues with it.

I kept getting a different arrival date. I had people trying to set up my system and they kept having to come out because I thought the receiver would show up but didn't. I will not rely on your ordering through the app ever again
