This model is extremely impressive. I have had the Wi-1000x from Sony for years and love that model and its LDAC codec. I can honestly say I think these sound better than that by a tad, and they sound more naturally tuned. The fit is very impressive and they give you 4 sets of ear tips to make sure you'll find something that works. The plastic feels premium so to speak as well. You can tell a lot of R&D went into these to get the end product, so these definitely give the end user the premium vibes you'd expect from this price point. The sound with the Aptx Adaptive (reverse compatible with Aptx and Aptx-hd) is just amazing. My LG-G7 which I only use as a music player connects via Aptx-hd, but I know future phone models will connect via Aptx Adaptive, so these are future proofed. They also have bluetooth 5 so that's also great compared to the companies that for some reason are still using bluetooth 4.2. These give extremely natural tones with a good deal of warmth added to the mix. They are analytical enough for even experienced audiophiles in my opinion. Remember this is bluetooth, so you're trying to get amazing sounds without wires; this isn't to be compared to standalone amps with dedicated DACs. Battery life is nuts on these. My former headphones mentioned above made a respectable 9 to 10 hours and these do 15 to 18 depending on what I do. All and all I really couldn't be happier, and for transparency I did get these on sale for 209.87 tax include. At that price I feel like it's a steal. I'm very happy with this purchase.

These earphones have pretty good sound quality, but not what I expected for the retail price. The noise cancelling feature works, but isn't great. They are not as compatible with my iPhone 8 as I would like either. I downloaded the Yamaha headphones app, but it doesn't always recognize that they are actually paired with the phone, and there are little to no choices to customize the eq or anything else for that matter. There are also times that I have trouble hearing callers when I'm actually using the phone as opposed to listening to music or a book. I'm really glad I got these on sale.....I would be very unhappy if I had paid full retail price for these as they are definitely not worth $270.

Very good sound quality ease to use very loud too but the only problem with this Yamaha earphones is this, is more for people with over side neck, sounds funny but is truth...
