This film is a modern day twist of a fantasy situation where the Beatles never existed to almost everyone, except the lead character and a couple of others. The writers included several references that die hard Beatles fans would pickup on. To name but a few, McCartney’s bare foot walk down to the stage in the James Corden interview scene, and the debut of Jack’s album in the concert on the Rooftop of the hotel on the beach. I was emotionally moved when Jack and Rocky go to Liverpool, having been to many of those sites almost 30 years ago in person. In a recent appearance on the Late Show with Steven Colbert, Paul McCartney said “It was a pretty good plug for me, and I thought it was a nice movie.” The story, the actors, photography and sound were brilliant. This was an absolute must own for my collection.

Likely to be the best movie of the year. From the screenwriter of Notting Hill, About Time, Love Actually, Bridget Jones Diary. A romantic comedy with a twist.

I enjoyed the movie as I am a big Beatles fan. It was an interesting concept and fun to see how it played out.

I grew up with the Beatles. I've always loved the Beatles. I anticipated this movie knowing only that it was about the only person on earth who know of The Beatles. I purposely do not read reviews until after I see a movie and can only say that the reviewers didn't "get it". This was a very unique story with well thought out characters and, in the end, a very nice message. The music was great andI enjoyed it immensely. No spoilers here, just a recommendation to kick back and enjoy this magical mystery tour.

We really enjoyed this movie. It’s a great motivational life story. While also a music and love story.

Imagine a world where nobody knows The Beatles, not even the internet. Jack Malik struggles as a singer, not even his family respects him until he starts singing music from The Beatles since he was the only one that remember the group and their music. He becomes a music genius admired by so many people. Beatles music comes alive in this very entertaining movie which delivers a great message regarding music and ethics. Beatles fans will certainly love this movie

This is a pretty great rom-com with a cool concept: what if you were a struggling musician who was the only one who remembered the Beatles? With amazing performances and stellar music, this is a truly fantastic film! I’m not all too sure how many times I’ll rewatch it, but it’s very fun. It’s also PACKED with special features that go behind the scenes of the process of making the film!!

This charming little film imagines what the world would be like today if the Beatles music band had never existed (together with a couple of other pillars of modern life), except for a few isolated humans who knew and loved the Fab 4. One British musician takes it upon itself to reintroduce the famous Beatles songs to the masses. He feels guilt for the world believing he wrote the lyrics and music, and finds a way to deal with it by the end of the film. Good acting and superb music permeate the film.

I saw this movie first in the theater and had to purchase since it was very enjoyable. The premise of the movie is that an event happens and the whole world forgets The Beatles (except the lead male character) along with a few other items prominent in the world today. It has a funny take on the music industry. Being a big Beatles fan, this movie was truly enjoyable.

As a fan of most of the Beatles music I just had to give this movie a shot. Imagine waking up after an accident and finding out that nobody has ever heard of the Beatles. Well, that's what happens here (along with no Coca-Cola or cigarettes.) The struggling musician then finds fame and fortune by re-releasing many of the Beatles songs at first taking credit for writing them but fessing up at the end of the movie. I thought for sure he'd wake up and find it was all a dream.

Such a refreshingly different movie with a lot of great Beatles songs! I loved the lead couple and their quirky friends. This was a great rom-com with a little sci-fi thrown in. We saw it at the theater opening weekend and I loved it so much I bought the 4K DVD the day it came out. I'm a middle-aged male and this is my favorite rom-com in years.

Really enjoyed this film. The Beatles covers weren't corny but used to tell a nice story. This is also a great entry from the Working Title and Richard Curtis team who were the creators of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Love Actually, and About Time. The music was great. Only thing that took away from the overall film was the neutral chemistry between the 2 leads. Otherwise it was a nice change of pace from the usual theatre releases.

Such a cool idea and premise this film presents. Allows fans of the Beatles something new and introduces a younger generation to the music. The fact that the main character actually sings the songs makes it that much better. Ed Sheeran’s self mockery is pretty funny. This is a good entertaining movie if you want to feel good.

I purchased this movie a couple of weeks ago and I’ve already watched it 3 times. Himesh Patel has a great voice and Lily James is easy on the eyes. I grew up with the Beatles songs and this movie brought back many good memories. A special surprise was seeing John Lennon as an old man. Highly recommend this movie!

I had wanted to see this movie in the theater and missed it! So I was excited to see it on 4k at such a great price! It was a very good movie! Not too complicated. But good acting and the lead guy sings really good! I definitely recommend if you are a Beatles fan!

Yesterday tells a unique story with humor, passion and love of the Beatles music. It is engaging from start to finish. The 4K disc brings out every detail and the audio is superb. People who love music and movies will win with this one on both counts!

Recommended for all. Especially Beatle fans. Loved the scene when the main character meets an older and wiser John Lennon. Love the movie. Again great sound and outstanding clarity on blu ray.

I was so happy with this 4k. The video is clear but looks upscaled, not shot in 4k but the sound quality is great. It takes advantage of the Dolby Atmos technology. You will enjoy the story, the movie, and the experience. Highly recommend it.

I loved this film in the theaters, and I love having the Blu-Ray with all of the special features. The deleted scenes are awesome - as is re-watching the scene with John Lennon - and this movie is a must-see and must-have for any Beatles fan!

The movie poses a very interesting what-if question that makes for a lot of fun- not to mention good music. But thats just the start, really. The characters are believable and the dialogue is well written, but perhaps more importantly, the movie is sincere and down to earth while dealing with such a far-out concept. Good movie.
