Becore Chris Columbus went on to direct the first two Harry Potter films he directed this little gem. Lots of fun ILM effect and entertaining story tellibg with belived characters.

Excellent origin story of the worlds greatest detective!!!

Classic film in beautiful picture. Couldn't be happier.

I saw this movie at the theater and really liked it. I bought it on dvd and when blu ray came along I hoped one day that this movie would be released in that format. Years passed and I gave up, and then along it came. The video is excellent and the audio is as well, but you really have to crank up the volume. I thought the two young men who played Holmes and Watson were excellent and I always hoped they would make more movies, but it didn't happen. There is a disclaimer at the beginning that says it has no link to Arthur Conan Doyle. Instead it is simply an attempt to explain how they met and how their experiences together helped shape their personalities and quirks they exhibited in Doyle's books. I found it quite entertaining and really enjoyed the high def audio and video.

Loved this movie when I saw it when it wad released. Being able to get it in an awesome steelbook. That's just a plus!!

I saw this back when came out in theaters. I always liked it. I personally think it should have done better. But it has a cult following. I think was one of Spielberg’s misunderstood gems
