Words can not adequately be used to describe how great this film is. From the compelling and relateable characters, to the gripping plot, great soundtrack, and the moxt beautiful and modt stunning animation I have ever seen this film has it all. Its funny, romantic, compelling, and at times emotionally charged it ways that give you the ferls in everyway so much that you forget your watching an animated movie. This movie is amazing, definitely worth the money is one of those that you’ll wanna watch over and over. LOVE IT!! .. YOU NEED TO GET IT!!

A classic rom-com, but it's both very funny and very touching. Plus it's anime, what more could you ask for?

The meaning of star-crossed lovers takes it to another level. Not only it's a gender-body swamping theme, it's also has a time-twist theme. Besides the theme, the two main characters were cute in their own way as themselves in their own and each other's body-swamp. If you haven't already heard or seen it, it's worth the watch and buy of this movie title. I loved the movie so much that I bought it on release date and normally I wait until way later when it's super cheap, haha.

I saw this movie on a whim when it came to theaters this spring and it was a great movie. The animation is spectacular and the story is very intriguing. I would also recommend that you watch it with the Japanese dub and English subtitles.

this movie was amazing!!! first off lets talk about the art direction for this, it is gorgeous and its eye candy, the scenery is amazing! the story was a bit hard in the beginning but in the end it started to make sense more and more, very touching and hard warming. its funny but not as much as i thought it would've been, its mostly serious. definitely worth picking up and checking it out

It's rare that I buy a movie (in the store) that I haven't seen yet, especially on Blu-ray. But everyone was telling me to watch it and being a fan of this director's other movie "Weathering With You" I just had to buy this movie. Honestly, I didn't think it was the magnum opus that everyone made it out to be it still really really dang good. Definitely check it out.

My girlfriend recommend this anime to me (before I was into anime) and going in I wasn't all that excited, I was the type of kid who bashed on anime and made fun of the weeaboos that worshiped the Japanese art, but anyway long story short I'm actually proud to say I am now an anime fan and would love to slap around some huge anime t_iddies for the fun of it. Highly recommend this movie for any lovers of (of course) anime, romance and adventure!

Absolutely had to pick this up makoto shinkai is one of my favorite directors and I literally own everything else he's put out in movie book and manga form with multiple copies of the movies. This is also his first time working with radwimps for the soundtrack and it is just spectacular.

It was a good movie but it is not appropriate for kids in my opinion

Beautiful artwork on the steelbook. The movie itself is beautifully animated with a huge, epic romance with a sci-fi/fantasy twists rooted in traditional Japanese spirtualism. Also comes with a digital copy that is redeemable at Funimation. If you love this, definitely check out the director's Makoto Shinkai's Weathering With You.

Makoto Shinkai is a really great director that is known for emotional stories where time and space play a huge part. The story is sweet and heart felt. You get invested and will stay with you long after the movie is over. I recommend this to any fan of anime and non fans alike. Shinkai's films have cool lighting effects that make the world believable.

What a great addition to any film collection of both wonderful artwork and a savory plot. This love story is touching on many levels, not just the young couple's heroics and persistent search for love, but in the ultimate importance of living with heart, not just mind, as a controlling life force. The last act IS protracted, plot-wise, but with such fine art work, why not be patient to the worthy conclusion?

It is a nice story to sit down and watch with a friend.

Not much to say other than great animation and great story

I had seen some short trailers for this movie and knew that I wanted to purchase it. However, the trailers did not do the movie justice at all. Your Name is a fantastic film that takes you through many twists and turns between the two main characters. The movie is a great mixture of reality and fantasy with a bit of chaos. Your Name has a definite recommendation from me!

This movie is a pure example of why I will never understand the hatred that people get for liking anime. This movie is a beautiful masterpiece. Extremely professional from a creation stand point, and a wonderful experience as a movie. The story is engaging, the characters are extremely lovable, and the emotional impact is staggering. Loved every moment.

I have been a fan of Makoto Shinkai since his first movie The Place Promised in Our Early Days (so much do I want that on bluray). Recently saw his latest movie in the theater. His movies are beautifully made. You won't be disappointed in this movie. Also a big fan of steelbooks

I strongly recommend Your Name. This is my top animated film of the year so far, and easily in my top ten films of the year. Go in as spoiler free as possible. You will be rewarded. Review based on original Japanese audio track.

This film should be able to be appreciated from the non-anime viewers as well. A love story with a huge twist and many bittersweet moments. For the regular anime watchers, this will be up your alley; whether you’re into love stories or not. This is definitely a classic in my book. A must buy!

After hearing the many praises this movie has received I finally decided to watch it myself. I didn't regret that decision at all! Beautiful artwork, lovable characters and an awesome story; I was completely swallowed up. There are a couple of things I wished the movie would've elaborated on but they are too minor to even change my praise.
