Bought this movie blind, only hearing wonderful reviews and I'm glad I did. Anime tends to be very expensive so I'm leery of going in blind, but I wandered into my local store and picked this up and watched it that night. It's a wonderful film and gorgeous. Here's hoping they release a US version 4k as they have been in other countries.

This was recommended to me by my son's step daughter. My son said she really enjoyed this movie and she like him are big anime fans. Although this was a gift to my younger son , he has loaned it to me so I can watch it too. I can't wait since I too an a fan of anime.

This gorgeous steelbook contains the same Blu-ray Disc as previously released in 2017. It does NOT include the DVD that came with the original release. The digital copy is only redeemable at Funimation's website and is not compatible with other digital services.

It’s one of the few anime movies I’ve loved! Great story and twists! Watched it when it first came out so seeing this in steelbook was a no brainer. The Steelbook is fantastic but was dented. Definitely be buying it again if there’s a 4K version sometime in the future.

The movie kept me intrigued from beginning to end. The setting and the characters were really interesting and the animation was beautifully detailed. However, to be honest, my opinion may be biased, as I love anime and this movie did not disappoint me at all. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys watching animated films.

Starting up this movie, I was already hyped from my friends who have seen this in theaters, and hyped by my own expectations when I wanted to watch it in theaters (I waited for Blu-ray release instead). I will say this movie did NOT make me tear up like I was expecting, but that's probably due to the fact that this movie reminds me of "The Lake House" featuring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. So in that regard, I was mildly disappointed. HOWEVER, the artwork is amazing, and I seriously wished they had a 4K edition available, but none at the moment. I really liked this movie for what it was, and so I recommend you all should watch it if you can!

The movie was a fantastic story, and I would highly recommend it whether you are an anime fan or not. The video quality was great, and the DVD version played without any problems on my DVD player. I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet. So, I cannot comment about the quality of the Blu-Ray version. The only issue I had was the differing volumes of music and dialogue in the film. The music track tended to be loud in parts, and the music drowned out some of what was being said, at least in the Japanese language version. So, the English subtitles were useful. It would be nice if Japanese subtitles were also available.

This anime movie is a must watch however, I recommend watching it more than once. It’s an anime you would quite understand at first but the more you watch it the more you fall in love with the story!

I find that as time goes on, media (movies, anime, video games, etc) strikes emotional cords with me FAR more often. This was no exception! I'm very glad I bought this and it is definitely worth a watch. Yes, even in English; the dub is more than good enough.

Some are calling the director, the next Miyazaki- its not a cliche, its valid. I dare anyone who buys this movie to pause it anywhere. Each frame is a picture in such depth and detail. The story is fantastic. Buy it, you wont be disappointed. See why this was the best selling movie in Japan last year.

I heard many things about this movie from friends and decided to pick it up and see it what the story was about for myself and I have to say it is one of the best animated films I've seen in a long time and would definitely recommend this to other people to experience it for themselves.

Animation is an underrated medium and this movie with all its praise might be able to change that. I prefer the sub version simply because some of the culture is lost in translation and a few jokes aren't as funny in English. Either way you don't miss out on an amazing story and soundtrack .

Gorgeous anime and a very touching story are just some of the highlights of this movie. My family and I really enjoyed it and have watched it several times since purchasing it. The steelbook packaging is beautiful.

Purchased by chance and knew nothing much about the movie. It was a fantastic story, the music is cool, and animation looks amazing. Steelbook packaging is one of the best I've ever seen. Very happy with this purchase.

I really like this movie, and I don't usually buy movies in physical but this was one movie that I will probably like to watch now and then, and it was in perfect condition when I bought it from best buy

Your name is one the few movies that will bring me to tears I LOVE the story the intertwined story I’d just spoil the movie if I kept going. I’ve waiting quite some time for the dvd/Blu-ray to be available at Best Buy and I am glad I got to have a personal copy

This anime is Makoto Shinkai’s best film yet. The animation is gorgeous and the music by RADWIMPS fits the anime perfectly. This anime has more comedic parts because of the body switching of the 2 main characters where as other Shinkai films were more serious in tone.

I’m a big fan of the creators work, and collect all his films. He’s become a real Master of the genre. I don’t consider this his best work though. The animation is incredible as always, but the story is just okay. I’ve seen this plot before, so I wasn’t real excited. It’s still a good body swapping film. The steelbook is nice, but extras are lacking. There is a collectors edition out there as well. If you’re a anime fan I’m sure you’ll be entertained.

This is by far my favorite anime that I have watched this year. Would highly recommend; Good for the ladies being it is a love story. But it is also good for us guys as well because it has some very funny, slightly inappropriate parts (nothing over the top).

What a great story. The background art is some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. I truly eant to be transported to such a beautiful place. The story was very fun, anf also very enotional.
