Good Old Fashioned Rock And Roll

I admit I didn't know much about this band and bought the c.d. because it was a Best Buy exclusive - but what a surprise! It is astounding rock 'n' roll (if there really IS still such a genre)! It starts with the bang of "Life Changes" - roars on with tracks like "40 Oz. Dream" and even has a few slower but catchy tracks ("Life Can't Get Much Better," "Stray Dogs," "Cars Full Of People"). Upbeat, refreshing, a good kick - in - the - pants the way The Rolling Stones used to do - this is one superb disc. I'm glad I added it to my collection.

Not as good as their old stuff but they still have something to bring to the table with this album.

I was excited to hear that GC was coming out with a new album after a long hiatus! I really only liked the first half of the album but then the other half of songs grew on me after a few more plays.. You gotta listen to the whole album a couple of times to really appreciate it.

Haven't listened to Good Charlotte in a while but did enjoy this new album. I own the first two albums and think they are better than this one. I was also a lot younger when those came out so possibly my music taste has evolved. Much slower and less pop punk than expected.

I haven't caught up with good charlotte since their radio single back in the day but I know John Feldman produced them so I bought this on a whim and was really happy, these songs will get stuck in your head from one listen and the bonus tracks are necessary.

I'm not really sure what there is to review. I bought the CD because I love the band. But I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who has ever listened to a Good Charlotte album and loved it. I honestly have not stopped listening to this album since it came out nearly a month ago.

Not bad for Good Charlotte

This was not bad. It wasn't as good as their 2nd album, but it seems like they tried to capture some of the old school sound while still trying for something new.

Loved Good Charlotte 10 years ago and this album definitely recaptures some of that sound and feeling. Definitely better than the new Blink album, in my opinion.

Every song is great! You can play this cd from start to finish and enjoy every track. Really love the songs "Keep Swingin'" and "The Outfield" and the Best Buy Bonus Tracks are songs worth having! I have been playing this cd over and over!

When I heard the single 40oz Dream I had hopes of a CD akin to The Young and The Hopeless. Sadly the rest of the album does not hold together near as well. If you are a big fan of GC get it for the single and the nostalgia the rest of the songs invoke. If you like the single, pick up this CD and Y&H and realize that this band is capable of so much more.

I'm so happy Good Charlotte got back together. This album really does remind me of their style back in the day. Glad to see they are still in touch with their roots.
