The pictures are unbeliviable. Very easy to fly and land. You will need to get another batter to fly longer. I would recommended this drone to others. It runs so smooth and easy.

I first operated this drone with some trepidation as I am a beginner and had not previously flown one before. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to take off and land and how stable it was in flight. Additionally, I was surprised at how stable the camera was, even when hovering in wind. The drone is relatively quiet and appears to be well built.
My only disappointment was the length of time it takes to recharge the battery. You will definitely want more than one...

This is a nice drone, but I now wish it had an obstacle avoidance system. The one I started to buy dud have it, but was talked out of it and into this one by a sales associate who is supposedly that location's drone expert. Not talking bad about him. He is VERY knowledgeable on drones and after discussing many things about my pkans for it, he decided this would be my better choice. It is fairly easy to control, but it has a tendency to drift a good bit, even in calm to no wind. I crashed it the second time I tried to fly it into the back of my parents' house, breakung 2 of the props and.one of the landing gear. It drifted and I could not stop it. It also was a little windy that day. I chalked it up to my inexperience and the wind. The more I fly it, thr more I wished I had gone with my first choice, hind sight is always 20/20. It does take very nice video and take decent photos. I am a.semi pro photographer so I bought it to open a new world to my photography. The drone is fairly well made but the landing gear does feel a little flemsy and cheap. Not the type you woupd expect on a $80 drone. I probably would recommemd this drone to people, but would advise them to learn how to fly them well before you buy this one. There are much better ones out there if you are lookijg for photography purposes. The video would suffice but only if you learn how to fly this one well.

I just got one, and with previous experiences with the DJI Phantom Professional. I can say that for the price this is the best copter out. It is no DJI Inspire but it's an amazing drone with brilliant features. The DJI Phantom 3 is a faster copter but I love the durability in the build of the Typhoon 4k. I would definitely suggest this to my friend

Based on my extensive research before buying the Q500, it really seemed like this was the best choice for me as a beginner. Here is what convinced me: Other drones are clearly better at autonomous flight (programming a preset flight path, even one well beyond your sight, and trusting the drone will come back safe and sound--something the new FAA rules forbid anyway); the Q500 doesn't have this option at all. But it's not something I'm at all interested in; in fact, it makes me queasy even thinking about it. Other drones can also go much faster; my Q500 tops out at only around 18 miles per hour. Again, for a beginner, slower is better. The Q500 also has a slider switch on the remote which you can adjust on the fly to restrict the speed of all flight controls to your liking--very handy for an anxious beginner. The Q500 is surprisingly easy to fly and is very stable, even with moderate breezes. The remote is very user friendly, and I like having the full display built into the remote, rather than having to sync up a wireless connection to your smartphone or tablet, like the competing drones. The battery lasts for well over 20 minutes, which is pretty good compared to the competition. The camera takes phenomenal photos and video--not choppy or grainy at all. The gimbal provides for smooth, jiggle-free video, even during high winds and abrupt flight maneuvers. The drone will fly beyond a quarter mile from the remote, but that's about where the video signal cuts out (and sooner if there is no direct line of sight). The drone's construction seems very sturdy and high-quality, something I've heard owners of competing drones complain about. If the Q500 loses connection with the remote, it automatically returns to the GPS point it took off from (but I'm yet to lose connection). The gimbal and camera can be easily detached and mounted on an included handheld device, making it a great camcorder, especially for high-action recording, like running, riding a roller coaster, etc. (just without any zoom functionality). It's comparable to other small gimbal camera setups, and for about the same price (nevermind a drone is included in that price!) Connection to a smartphone for viewfinder function and settings controls is simple and quick. Here are the only things I don't like, and the only reasons the Q500 doesn't get a full five stars from me: It has "follow me" and "watch me" functions that have the drone and/or camera follow the remote or Wii-remote-sized remote (sold separately) autonomously, and these functions work okay, but not great; and I'm told if you go too fast or change directions too quickly, the drone may "fly away." Yikes! I really wish the Q500 had a feature of autonomous orbiting and camera fixation around a single point on the ground, like one of its competitors. Of course, this may be something Yuneec programs into a further firmware update (fingers crossed). I also wish it had the feature available on one of the competitors of selecting a moving person or object on the screen and telling the drone/camera to follow them/it. That seems like an awesome feature that alone may make that competing drone worth the higher cost for a slightly more experienced pilot. Final opinion: a great drone for my purposes, at a great price. I would definitely buy it again, up until the point I felt comfortable as a very skilled and experienced pilot.

Yuneec Typhoon 4K is complete ready to fly drone with extrenely useful features like follow me and watch me modes. It does everything that it claims perfectly. The smoothness of the video is amazing. Distortion on its wide angle lens is negligible compared to gopro. I am happy that I bought the 4k version versus the G.
The things I don't like, bigger than the djis to carry around and the landing gear is not foldable. I am not saying it should electronically fold like higher end models but we should be able to easy disassemble for carrying purposes without the need for unsrewing. I would give a 5 star with these two.

Very good semi-pro drone to start with.
The built in limitations of flying height and distance comes in handy when you're starting flying drones; you can extend the range tough the GUI easily downloadable from Yuneec site.
It has been said that is not as fast as the Phantom, but for aerial filming and photo that is not necessarily a downside.
A pro is that it has its own screen on the controller, no need to link a phone or tablet; and it comes with the steady grip that turns the gimbal into a handy camera.

This is my first drone and don't have any experience flying one before. I decided to go for the Yuneec Q500 4K because it has lots of safety features such as the drone won't connect to the transmitter if you are in a no fly zone radius. It is very easy to fly out of the box. The motor is very quiet. Yuneec also has excellent customer service.

This will terrorize your neighborhood. Picking up girls is a breeze(don't tell my wife) and the 4K recording will put that 4K tv to good use that you don't know why you bought but the tv guru at Best Buy talked you into. I'm not kidding when I say, "This is the one drone to rule them all."

My husband loves this drone. It didn't take long for him to learn to fly it. The pictures and video are excellent. The only problems we've had so far is when we needed to send the drone for repairs (husband flew on a windy day and ended up crashing the drone - warning, heed instruction not fly when windy, lol). The repair facility was not communicative and at one point did not answer emails and when called did not know where the drone was. We did get the drone back, after several stressful phone calls, five months later.

Great camera drone

Purchased my Q500 4K before Christmas 2017. Needed a serious camera drone. Have other drones with non-stabilized cameras. Unfortunately had problems with this first Q500 4K drone. Something was loose and rattling around in CGO3 camera. Also the FPV video while flying, was breaking up with pixilation and lag. Could not even fly it with bad video. Returned drone to BestBuy. They quickly replaced with another. Have had this Q500 4k drone for 6 months with 104 flights. Love this drone. Looks amazing, not like the boring looking white DJI drones. Easy to see and fly. Super quiet and is a stable dependable camera platform. No major problems to date only slight WIFI lag. Only sometimes and not always. Switching from video to picture mode display on transmitter, reconnects camera and cures excessive lag. FPV is best in picture mode, one second lag. I fly in FPV picture mode, then switch over to video mode, to take a video, then back to picture mode. Camera with recorded video and pics are excellent. Just get to know the minor camera adjustments (white balance, frame rate, iso, evo and frame speed). Don't rely on CGO3 cameras presets or auto settings. I use the (Gorgeous Setting), then adjust to 1080p @ 30 fps, 100 iso and 60 sec. while adjusting evo on the fly. This works best for me and gives movie quality video without using the 4K settings, which I do not use. I also use a gray scale device at start up, before flight and lock in the white balance. Max range before the WIFI FPV video drops out is approx. 1300ft. I extended this range to 2500ft. by installing a aftermarket FPV external antenna kit for the drone, around $30. Flight time is approx. 20 mins. Recommend a extra battery. All in all a excellent buy and now comes with a wand remote. That is a $100 extra for free, something that wasn't offered with my drone. Can't afford a DJI drone? For $600 this big bird is well worth it.

I love this drone from the first time I open the box. I have play with it several times since I got it. It takes great pictures and great video.Only thing that I did not like about it was a backpack that I purchased for it.
