They were designed for a woman's smaller ear size in mind. He recommended them because of the way the buds fit down in your ear. I've tried both sizes that came with the package and they are both very uncomfortable. I would have returned them, but didn't realize I only had 15 days to return. I thought it was 30, so I missed the timeframe, which is a shame, because I still have to purchase new earbuds.
