Husband: 10 out of 10 No charcoal. No gas. Simple and makes great burgers and steak. Let me just state first and foremost: Yes you can "just grill" with this. Grill, smoke, sear. That was one of the biggest questions i had and it seemed clear as day but we were still uncertain at first, never owning this type of grill/smoker. Your food will be so much tastier than a gas grill! We have never used a smoker prior to this purchase. I am usually the one cooking. My husband is now a grill master smoking the meats and making dinner to perfection every time. This was a fathers day gift. Best gift ever. Hubby is so happy with it and he is definitely a picky man with gifts. Grill build took about an hour and a half. Time includes unpacking all parts, laying out and then building. Pretty simple, easy to understand instructions. After it was built, Hubby went shopping for pellets, temp prob, utensils and he was ever so excited. I have never seen this man in this excited to grill state. Newly wed and we never had a grill. This was the best gift ever. This model didn't come with a temp prob but you can get at hardware store, online and not too pricey. This comes with the grill cover. Easy step by step instructions for first time use. Lots of space! The photo is our first time smoking burgers. The second time around we made 15 burgers, 10 hot dogs and plenty of space left. Planning on smoking our turkey this Thanksgiving. I can't wait.

Love it easy to install and set up cook ribs come out amazing

Bought this to use at our vacation home and we love it. Much easier to start than my other grill and gets up to temp quickly. Had a part break (totally my fault) and the customer service a Z Grills was awesome to work with. Sent me the new parts immediately without any questions. Best customer service I’ve ever dealt with.

I was lucky enough to catch this grill on sale. This is by far the best grill I have ever owned. I did my research when it came to the pellet grills but never heard of Z Grills. After researching them online and catching this on sale, I am definitely happy with the purchase. Its not the easiest thing to put together but once it is, you will love it. Everything we have cooked on it is delicious and we haven't had one bad meal yet. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get a pellet grill.

Let me tell you! I bought this as a gift for valentines for my hubby. He is a very proud true texas barbecue guy. Smoking meats with post oak for many years. He has made me some of the best ribs i have ever had in my life with this pellet grill. The best $800 dollars i have ever spent. Highly recommend. The smoke rings are there the flavor is amazing! A must buy. happy wife.

This is my very first pellet grill/smoker. I purchased this mostly because of the positive reviews. It was easy to assemble and do the initial burn off. Coincidentally I’m doing my first cook as we speak (pulled pork) so I’ll know more here in a few hours. Pretty straight forward and if you can follow directions then you will be able to enjoy this appliance.

This smoker is soooooo amazing and so easy to us. It makes everything so tender, tasty and good!!!

This is a great pellet smoker. The instructions to assemble it were by far the best written I have ever read. They provided everything you need to assemble the smoker. I have smoked two racks in it and they turned out perfect. I would say this is better than a Traeger, which is far more expensive. I am so happy I purchased this model. It definitely is a great deal vs other similar brands.

Absolute one of the best grills I have ever owned, cooks perfectly. Smoker is fantastic, the whole thing is built extremely well.

Smoked two briskets two weekends back to back. First and second time ever doing one and those things was the life of the party. Smoked eight racks of ribs AT THE SAME TIME, too. This thing rocks. Four stars because there’s no easy way to empty hopper of pellets if you didn’t use them all. Warning! Clean out the fire pot before each use! I used my electric leaf blower to clear it out but before I figured out it gotta be spotless, that fire pot was an uncontrollable flame thrower kicking out almost 600 degrees. Clean the smoker before each use and you’ll be fine is all I’m sayin’

Previously I had a Traeger Fremont (which was slightly too small). After some research I found this superb deal on this Z Grill 1000D, and it was the perfect solution. Having three cooking racks is convenient, and the extra large pellet hopper is a plus. Definitely recommend this smoker.

This is very nice, but didn’t know it was mainly for smoking not a normal type grill for burgers etc.

Not quite happy. Completely missing the whole hopper and burn assembly so can’t even use it. Can’t even get any help from customer support. Would recommend if had all the parts….

Supposed to have delivered my purchase on 3 seperate occasions missed all 3. Zgrills reached out to offer me what they considered to be a “solution” it was more of an insult than a solution. They offered me a lesser model and a free thermometer. REALLY … a free thermometer???!

The first T-bones we cook came out great! There were lots of parts to assemble but the instructions were clear and it was easy to do.
