So my wife got a shiny new iPhone 16 Pro Max, and naturally, she wanted to keep that gorgeous screen in pristine condition, that's where a solid screen protector comes in, and my wife and I recently took the plunge with this one, after putting it through its paces I'm here to give you the lowdown on whether this protector is worth the hype, and the price tag, right out of the gate, this protector makes a good impression, the packaging is sleek and gives you that premium feel, reassuring you that the protector inside is safe and sound. Inside you'll find everything you need, including the glass protector itself, a detailed how to guide, cleaning wipes, a dust removal sticker, and a handy alignment tray that is a lifesaver when it comes to getting the protector on straight, this is especially great for those of us who've wrestled with screen protectors in the past, ending up with more bubbles than a bubble bath lol. Now let's talk about the dreaded installation process, nobody enjoys fighting with air bubbles or a screen protector that's just a little bit off kilter, but thankfully this one seems to have cracked the code on easy installation offering near perfect placement without a ton of effort, if you meticulously clean your screen beforehand you'll be rewarded with a flawlessly smooth bubble free application, try installing it in a steamy bathroom after running the hot water to cut down on dust particles floating around as I do, the key here is to take your time and be thorough. Now, the million dollar question (or rather the sixty dollar question) does it actually protect your screen? It does for the most part, is scratch resistant to a certain point, offers edge to edge coverage, and can handle a fair amount of impact. Honestly it's a champ at shrugging off daily wear and tear like keys jangling in pockets or minor drops. However, we've noticed a weakness in the edges this protectors tend to chip or crack over time, especially if you tend to stuff your phone into tight spaces, and while the protector does a solid job keeping fingerprints at bay, you still find yourself wiping it down occasionally to keep it looking its best, so while it will probably save your screen from everyday scratches and scuffs, it might not be invincible against direct impacts on the edges. One of the biggest concerns with screen protectors is whether they'll mess with the display quality or touch sensitivity, luckily, this one excels in this department, when applied correctly, the protector is practically invisible, maintaining the vibrant colors and sharpness you expect from an Apple display, and touch sensitivity is another win, as there's no noticeable lag or delay (a crucial factor for gamers and power users), face ID and gestures work seamlessly, although edge swipes can feel a tad less smooth than a naked screen. But all in all, it delivers a fantastic user experience in terms of clarity and responsiveness, coming in at around $60, it's definitely a premium option. But is it worth the extra cash? For the the peace of mind, the premium build, and ZAGG's lifetime warranty I'll say it justifies the price.

ZAGG Glass XTR4 Advanced Edge-to-Edge Screen Protector for Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max Clear is simple to place on iPhone yourself. Took under 2 minutes to place on my phone with ensuring I cleaned with provided wipes and dried well. Had no issues with bubbles upon installation. The fit is truly edge-to-edge allowing for full screen protection. The glass does not interfere with touch screen nor interfere with visibility. I would have given 5 stars but do believe the value is quite high knowing many on the market for 1/2 if not a 1/4 of this ZAGG value. However this screen protector has kept my iPhone safe from damage even with accidental slips out of my hand has not cracked or chipped after 2 months of use. Recommend!

The Best Buy employees did an excellent job installing my screen protector on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s perfectly straight and covers the entire screen with no bubbles or dust. I’m really happy with the result and appreciate how smooth the process was!

This screen protector is great! It obsorbed all of the impact of the fall after dropping my phone face first. No cracks. So I am very satisfied with the quality.

If it wasn't for the lifetime replacements this is a very pricey buy for the protection it claims. I've had it on my last three iPhones (now the 16 Pro Max) and it only takes one drop for it to crack depending on how it lands of course. It also scratches easily. However, it has always protected my phone (no glass breaks even if the Zagg shatters, so far). It is glass and the edge to edge leaves the display beautiful without any degradation that I can see. This one was purchased Sept 2024 and today I dropped it first time, on a hike. Cracked like a giant spider in every direction ;-)

These glass screen protectors feel like the original glass underneath that they protect so they’re great for user experience and feel. They have a blue light filtration for eye protection and a limited lifetime warranty, which is great because they are relatively easy to crack or chip, but it’s better than messing up the iPhone glass underneath.

I have been a fan of ZAGG screen protectors over the years since they hold up well and have helped prevent me from having to deal with a broken iPhone screen. I honestly am not good at preventing my phone from being dropped accidentally and have already dropped the new one twice with the new XTRA4 screen protector on it and was pleased that no damage was done to the iPhone 16 pro max. I like that ZAGG uses tough materials in their products that can bring a good balance between protection, coatings for eye protection, and yet not interfere with the sensitivity of the touch screens with the extra layer covering the glass. I like that ZAGG sends the cover with a useful tray to help me attach the screen protector with better accuracy since it has holes punched in the product that are held by the frame as you slowly apply pressure to the cover as it adheres to the phone. I am glad they started including the frames because I had trouble with past covers when trying to get them to line up perfectly without having to make revisions multiple times. I did not get the new one installed perfectly the first time I tried with the new design and eventually was able to get it lined up well and removed all the bubbles that had formed with the initial installation. As far as the special information from ZAGG’s product specs it is made from graphene and Hexiom technology which is supposed to be 11 times stronger than regular glass screen protectors. They also include blue light protection coating, and an anti-reflective coating to make the screen more user friendly. The final special feature is that ZAGG offers a lifetime warranty on their products, which so far I have not had to use but like having the security of knowing if the product does not work I can contact them to replace it.

The holes on the screen protector’s plastic covering did not line up correctly on one end of the plastic frame—the end with the holes farthest apart. That was problem #1. I proceeded though as the glass protector seemed to be placed evenly along all outer margins. Problem #2 was that the protector left bubbles underneath that refuse to come out. Having paid $1,500 for a new phone, seeing bubbles on the screen are not tolerable! For the high price of this product, I expect far better!

I bought this on September 21, 2024 and today I barely dropped it not even 2 feet and it’s already shattered. my question is it says 11x times stronger… Where? I will be getting a refund!
