Another family member and my self bought the same model phone and screen. His screen cracked in days. Mine is holding up so far. While the glass screens are very attractive, they also demand a lot of pressure when holding down a letter or icon.

I Thought It Would Be Different for Me...

After reading all of the negative reviews, I still talked with a Best Buy rep and let myself believe that if I put it on myself if would be fine, because I really wanted it to work. I was wrong. Everything you're reading is true:
1. There is a visible, silicon adhesive strip around the perimeter of your screen.
2. This creates dead spots where I was pressing so hard just to type, I was afraid I was going to break the screen protector.
3. The factor that caused me to take it off however, was not once was I able to access the notification bar...
What good is a screen protector if it renders the phone's basic features unusable?!
Taking back to BB tomorrow :(

Usually I LOVE Zagg products, but the first Protector for the Samsung Galaxy S8 just doesn't feel right.
Appearance wise it look a little rushed. like they should have taken a little more time to make sure it was molded to fit right and cover the entire screen.
Next its seems a little thick which make for problems especially around the edges when you are trying to select something or pull the top menu or side menu over,
I'm sure it will still protect my screen, I just hope that they modify it better going forward.

This is my first glass screen cover. The product makes several claims which it fails to live up to.
CUSTOM CURVE FIT/SMOOTH, ALL CLEAR DESIGN: These features are excellent and the only reason I gave the product 2 stars.
IMPACT AND SCRATCH RESISTANT: Less than 2 weeks after having the glass curve installed on my phone by the store, I dropped the phone about 2 feet onto a wood floor and not only did the screen crack, but it came completely off the phone.
SMUDGE RESISTANT: completely untrue, I have to wipe my phone with an eyeglass cloth every time I use it. It smudges like crazy.
PRECISION TOUCH: well that doesn't work, I have to touch several times and it is vey hard to get a response. I ended going out and buying one of those little pens with the rubber tip so my fingers wouldn't get sore.
At least they come with a lifetime guarantee, because they are not cheap, so i can't afford to just switch to another screen cover.

I will now be replacing a second one of these in less than six months. The adhesive does NOT stick after a short period of time and pops off. I am an adult that does not abuse the phone, never damaged one and always they are in a protective case (otter box) and have an adhesive protector on them. I though this would be a perfect protector but I was so wrong.
Pros: Pretty
Cons: Weak adhesive that gets worse with each day, pops off easily after about a month, scratches easily, extremely overpriced.
Again this is the second one that has done this and I will be returning for some other type of protection. Thankfully, Best Buy does stand behind the products they sell. Avoid a massive headache and pick something else to start with.

The screen protectors for the curved screens never seem to fit properly. They don't lay against the screen completely and it's very noticeable that you have a protector on, unlike with flat screens where the protectors are essentially invisible. Also my protector created a fairly large dead spot on the bottom left of the screen where it would not register my finger presses. I eventually had to stop using the protector and pull it off.
I'm not sure if I should blame the phone manufacturer for designing the phone in such an odd way that doesn't lend itself to good screen protectors or the protector manufacturer for not being able to deliver a good product.

So I've always bought zagg screen protectors for my phones and have never had issues until this one. Although it was easy to install, the edges never sealed to the phone. This has caused my notification pull down menu to not work which limits ease of use. Zagg however has great consumer service and is sending me the sapphire defense screen protector as a replacement. Hopefully it's better.

I feel like this protector does a great job of protecting my screen from any accidental damage. It is also crystal clear with no color distortion. My only gripe with it is screen sensitivity. This is my first time using a glass screen protector so all glass screen protectors may be like this, but many times I have to press down much harder than normal for types to register, which is a huge pain when texting. It has gotten better since it got to bed in after the first week, but it still has diminished sensitivity. I guess that is the trade off of having superior protection.

Followed installation videos and written instructions to the letter. After installing the protector I my screen lost sensitivity and I had to press hard on screen for functions to work. I dropped my phone about 2 feet a week after installing protector and the protector popped off. Don't waste your money on this

The glass shield provides excellent protection. However, the phone is not as responsive to touch as it is without the glass shield. This is a minor irritant that I have become accustomed to after a while. It just requires a firmer “touch”.

If you want a bubbly peeling screen for a few week before it just completely detaches on its own then this is the screen protector for you. Followed installin instructiona perfectly and have done this before. This screen protector just failed to stay adhered and never felt or looked good on the phone.

Bought this for my son's phone and had Geek Squad install it. After, I gave my son his phone he told me it was really difficult for him to maneuver around and that he had to really press down on some areas of his phone. I took it back and had GS install another one. That's when the guy asked me if I had waited 12-24 hours before using and/or putting on a case. I told him no because no one told me I needed to and I put the case on ASAP. This time we waited the 12 hours and it now works better, but not 100%. We leave it on there since we're on the Samsung Forever plan and his phone needs all the protection it can get! Hopefully they improve the protector for the GS9.

Horrible product! Doesn't clip to the screen very well at all. I tried two new screens and had the same problem and the safety screen made typing and selecting an icons nearly impossible. Even the Best Buy rep told me that most people who buy the screen return it almost immediately. Pure trash...

We've had 3 zagg glass products (two for the S8) and they last about 2-3 weeks each before they crack. They are replaceable under warranty but shipping is $10 per time. Really not worth it, but there doesn't seem to be a better alternative.

This screen protector installed on an S8 leaves a gap between the outside edge and the inside edge of the Otterbox Defender. Even so, it lifts just enough at the edge to gather dirt onto the glue that holds it on. When the Otter came unclipped from the holster and the phone fell 30 inches to the concrete, it cracked and popped off the phone leaving the phone vulnerable if it had bounced again or slid on the concrete. It saved the screen, and I will get a free replacement, but not happy with the performance over all.

I don't think it is worth $50. My husband had it a week and it cracked. It does carry a lifetime warranty but you still have to pay $9.99 shipping to get it replaced which is ridiculous

Extremely disappointed with my purchase 2 weeks ago. Screen already has two cracks and I did not drop it. I think it has something to do with the infinity edging. I have had three of these shields in the past and NEVER had a problem.

Although the Invisible Shield fits my Galaxy S8 nicely, it causes me to have to press too hard on the screen to make it very functional. When typing letters I have to press too hard to get the phone to detect the press. Also, I couldn't swipe down from the very top to get the notification bar to expand. Once I removed the protector, the screen functionality worked very well.
What I noticed was that the only part that stuck to the phone screen was the edge of the protector. I'm guessing this caused a gap between the screen and the protector on the front and thus causes the user to press harder for the touch to register with the phone.
