The rigid shield applies much easier and has much fewer problems with air bubbles under the protector. It seems to work very well.

I THINK I ALSO ACCIDENTALLY BOUGHT MORE THAN I NEEDED BECAUSE I JUST NEEDED THE SHIELD NOT THE CASE. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW THIS AHEAD OF TIME WHEN I ORDERED THE BATTERY SO I COULD HAVE EVALUATED DIFFERENT OPTIONS.

Sales person offered to put it on the phones for us....for an $8.00 charge! Took it home and placed it myself. It comes with a "plastic guide" to apply it and was very easy.

My prior phone's glass had cracked in several places but when i took the glass off the phone there were absolutely no cracks in the phones surface. Very impressed and would not have a phone without it!

Decent self service option for screen saving
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's inevitable, at least for me, to get some tiny piece of lint or hair or spec of dust... once that happens, it can be lifted and removed, but never as pristine as having it done at the Apple store with their application machine. I guess you get what you pay for.

We have no idea how it happened. Although it seemed deep, the phone was fine and we were very relieved. We brought it back to Best Buy and it was replaced, no questions. Great service!
